My wife and I have a 34 year old son who is autistic. He went through a very tough time in the early 2,000’s where seizures were routine. We all got through it by watching Pee Wee’s Big Adventure every day for almost a year. We take that very worn VHS tape out from time to time and play it. We know all the dialog by heart. Thanks Paul Reubens. Rest In Peace.
This isn't anywhere near the same thing but my (at the time) beloved girlfriend of five years broke up with me in 2008 and I wound up staying at a relative's house the weekend after, just to "escape". For some reason they'd happened to have rented the 1982 horror film Creepshow, which I'd already seen a hundred times since childhood. But as a distraction I threw the dvd in and started watching it, and damn if I didn't watch it three or four more times in a row, alone in that living room, until I was finally soothed enough to go to sleep. I'll never forget that memory. There's nothing heartwarming about that film, but it was a comfort. It was something I was familiar with, and had always enjoyed, and for some reason it occupied me enough that for that very important night it took the pain away and allowed me to focus on a positive instead of a negative, which I was in desperate need of at that time. It's a magical thing that movies can take us away from the harsh reality of the real world and bring us to a place of enjoyment and peace. I could only imagine how I would have felt that night if I'd had Pee-Wee's Big Adventure at my disposal, though. :)
The loss of Paul Reubens hit me hard. A few years ago my family saw him on Cameo. We paid for him to do a happy birthday message to my aunt who grew up a big Pee Wee fan. We paid the regular price. We were expecting just a minute long "happy birthday from Paul Reubens." He went on for 6 minutes. Above and beyond for a fan. It was amazing.
For my birthday, my mom and I saw Conan on tour at Radio City Music Hall. It wasn't the show where Stewart and Colbert showed up, but the next day where Paul briefly appeared as Pee-Wee. A lady in the audience yelled, "I love you, Pee-Wee!" Without missing a beat, he answered, "If you love me so much, why don't you marry me?!" The whole place exploded. It was wonderful. One of the best days I ever spent with my mom, who passed away last year.
I have a friend who was pen-pals with Paul Reubens for years. My friend is just a regular dude- not at all famous. This story from Conan totally rings true about him being just a generous, good dude.
I wanted to be a pen-pal with Louis Anderson… Too late. He and I had so much in common… Not just our weight but I have a dozen other things. I wrote to him twice but never got a reply. I would’ve given anything to have been a pen-pal of Paul Reubens also.
It is a great reason why. Well said. I knew Paul well for over 2 decades and worked with him a couple times as an actor and a writer. And Paul liked working with Conan and no one could say it better.
As a child of the 70's and 80's up until present day 2023....I have never associated any negative thing to Mr. Reubens and his memory, with the exception of the horrible and unjust way the industry and others treated him. I associate nothing but laughter, Joy, artful quick thought, a childlike , honest innocence, volatile comedic timing, a wallow in absurdity, an example of empathy in an intelligent wrapper. Intelligent and Humbly Dignified and a Grounded , real Individual. His influence on our generation probably greatly surpassed his own estimate of such a thing. Thanks Paul Reubens.❤
I had the puzzle peices come together on the impact of my entertainment taste he touched. Years ago I found out Phil Hartman was the fisherman on the stage version of the playhouse before it got a TV finding out the legend came from improving with Paul started opening my eyes a bit to his importance. A few years later I hear him on a pod cast going in depth on the making of Big Adventure and find out he had asked for Burton but the studio said everyone has tried to get him to direct but no one could Burton did it for Paul, I assume because how big Pee Wee was culturely and how much the studio wanted Burton gave them freedom to make that movie what it needed to be. That movie also saw the incredible partnership of Burton with Elfman and the now incredible composing career he has had. I say all this to say ya he had a massive impact on our generation but Burton credits him in part for him having the Directing career he has had and that has had an impact on so much. The industry did throw him away when he had 1 mistake that really cause no harm to anyone. Because of that we may never fully understand how far in the ocean his ripples go.
He was a sex offender I guess if your rich and famous you can do whatever look at these so called heroes if people actually look at the sick stuff famous musicians has admitted to doing to children or movie stars as done it’s disgusting but money and power controls the narrative if you’re poor and innocent you’re fucked and you must suffer in jail or prison I don’t cry about his death I cry for the kids that are damaged by the monsters that still exist and breathing
@@markcall2764 You’re judging a fellow human, and the scriptures are abundantly clear what awaits those who judge. And let’s just say, it ain’t pretty. There are literally millions of FAR WORSE THINGS a person could do in the sight of Jehovah (God) and masturbation is not one of them. If that was the case, literally nobody would be entering the pearly gates. 😳. In the meantime, I’d suggest you visit a counselor for psychological assistance. And perhaps dye your hair something other than its usual blue.
Conan is such a remarkably articulate, sensitive, and all around good person. After I lost my job, I saw his talk about not allowing yourself to become bitter. Just exactly what I needed to hear, from someone I really do listen to. This is another one of those times. I won't feel better about Paul Reubens' death, but I suddenly do feel much better about his life.
@@Ladran_SanchoI think the vid he is referring to is when Conan was let go from The Tonight Show. It was the last show he did for TTS and towards the end Conan gave a nice speech about not being bitter and to have a positive attitude- that everything happens for a reason. I believe he addressed young people directly, he said : 'don't be cynical. I hate cynicism. It will get you nowhere'. Then he got on stage with Billy Gibbons, Will Ferrell and I believe Chad Smith (and a few other musicians) and jammed to Skynyrds Free Bird. Apologies if I got anything incorrect, this is all off the top of my head. It's on YT. Look it up. You'll be glad you did.
@@billmcmahon5454Yes, I _love_ what he said about cynicism. Cynicism has become so pervasive in contemporary culture, and it's really just a lazy way to try to convince everyone else that you're nobody's fool. I think a big part of Paul's success as Pee Wee was that he was the opposite of cynical, and he just warmed people's hearts.
Pee Wee's death is the first time I've felt old. Like, I feel like I've beaten the odds and I've outlasted most of my childhood heroes, and I'm only 44. I can imagine how much more intense it gets as one grows old, to see all the movie and tv personalities you grew up with and LIVED with, at the same time, are now gone. And you're not too far behind. Pee Wee's Big Adventure and Big Top Pee Wee are etched into my childhood soul. God Bless You Paul.
Thank you for sharing this Conan! We need more folks talking about feelings like this. Cassandra Peterson shared a video Paul sent her on her most recent birthday that sounds like it was in the same spirit as yours. Count among your blessings that he held your friendship--and you! in such high esteem. The love he had for all of you isn't really gone as long as you remember how he made you feel.
Thank you! All the fans aren’t “nosy neighbors”. The good side of entertainment boils down to who are down to earth, and the respectful loving unheard of fans on the other side of the fence. We aren’t allowed to cross it, so your insight is appreciated. Aliens communicating to aliens. (Insert Pee Wee laugh) “Ha-ha!”
"He went out of his way to tell people what they meant to him..." - I think that sums up everything you need to know about what kind of amazing person this was... Thank you so much for sharing this - he was one-of-a-kind for sure :)
Stop calling everything underrated kid. Peewee was in no way underrated. He's extremely internationally famous and has been for almost 45 years. You're just twelve so anything you haven't heard of before is "underrated"
The passing of Paul Reubens is very very sad. As a kid i had alot of favorite TV shows and movies but Pee-wee's Playhouse was one of my favorites. in 1986 i was 7 years old. I loved the show and both Pee-wee movies (especially the first one) Pee-wee's Big Adventure came out in 1985, Pee-wee's Playhouse was 1986 - 1990 and Big Top Pee-wee came out during the middle of the show in 1988. for 5 years we had alot of Pee-wee Herman, and the 5 years before that he was perfecting his character of Pee-wee with the original broadway show and all his letterman appearances (i didn't know about those until recently, found them all on youtube) after his arrest in 1991, Pee-wee Herman disappeared for 16 years. In the 90's I remember thinking I want a 3rd Pee-wee movie, we only had the 2, I wanted at least a 3rd to finish the trilogy, really I wanted more then that. 4, 5, or 6 Pee-wee movies would have been great for me, I started to think we would never get a 3rd movie until finally we did in 2016 with Pee-wee's Big Holiday on Netflix. I was excited to see it but it just wasn't as good as the first 2 or the show but it was nice to see Paul Reubens play Pee-wee again, also at that time he did a bunch of appearances on wwe and other stuff online to promote the movie as well as Pee-wee Herman on broadway, (I still haven't seen yet) I thought good Pee-wee is back and maybe we would get a 4th movie as well, but we never did, I wondered why the re-surface of all that Pee-wee then again back to nothing, even a mediocre 4th movie i would have been happy with, now that we know he had cancer for the last 6 years and was keeping it a secret from the world that was exactly the time of big holiday in 2016, so he would have been diagnosed with cancer at that time, its just we didn't know it. I don't blame him for not telling anyone. The media are sick evil people. After his arrest the media attacked him so bad he let Pee-wee go for 16 years, he did still act in other movies and shows, small parts mainly but Pee-wee Herman is an iconic character and it was the cowardly fake media that ruined it for us fans to take Pee-wee away from us when there could have been alot more Pee-wee during that 16 years. As if that's not bad enough when you google Paul Reubens name now after his death instead of showing his accomplishments or talking about Pee-wee Herman all the fake news does is talk about his sex scandals, the man is dead let him rest in peace. The fake media doesn't care who's life they destroy, they will never learn. Pee-wee is a huge part of my childhood along with the ghostbusters, star wars, he man, transformers, ninja turtles, G.I. Joe and many others. Pee-wee Herman will live forever, he will never be forgotten.
I feel that way too. I am a huge fan of Paul Reubens work. I kinda feel like I did when Elvis and Prince died. He was just an amazing performer and a brilliant comic. Paul/Pee Wee, you will be missed.
I saw him do a Q & A in Atlanta after a screening of ‘Big Adventure’ in 2020 (right before lockdown). He got emotional saying how much his fans have loved and supported him (and we do love him very much). I didn’t realize it at the time, but I think he was saying goodbye. I’ve grown up admiring Paul’s humor my entire life and it has made such a profound impact on me. I love that Conan knew him personally and feels that way too.
Paul reminded me of an eccentric Mr. Roger's. He seemed totally harmless and even a little fragile. I remember as a kid, the pornography thing just seemed like overblown and mean-spirited click-bait. When that blew over and I saw him acting in movies as a non-PeeWee character, I was happy to see he was still out there doing the entertainment thing.
Don’t believe anything the media says…if something happens it’s standard practice to blow it out of proportion and make the celebrities look as bad as possible.they don’t care it’s just all a scam to make more money at someones expense,my family has a bit of Hollywood history my mom was a child actor and occasionally still works in film…but I’ve met various famous people who were hurt by the lies
Yeah if he was literally anyone else, it wouldn't have been a scandal at all. Every other dude in that theatre was doing the exact same thing, it's literally why it existed. But because he was a celebrity and a "children's entertainer" (even though Pee-Wee's Playhouse started as a stage show that was not intended for children at all) it was a big deal and people thought he was a huge pervert. But yeah, he paid some fines and did some community service PSAs (the infamous Pee-Wee talks about crack video is one such PSA) and that was that.
My sentiments exactly. Even as a kid I knew by Hollywood standards he was being judged far too harshly. Peoples sense of smug moral superiority drives me nuts.
I'm only 23, but I grew up watching Pee Wee's Playhouse. My dad got the full dvd collection for me and my sister, and it was one of the funniest things I'd ever seen. I wouldn't have thought his death would hit me as hard as it did, but I was shell shocked. I'm so grateful for all the work he did, and I hope it will continue to mean as much to people as it did to me.
So nice to hear. It's pretty normal to suddenly get wacked with the sad on stuff like this. You and your sis and Dad are pretty neat people, y'know. Yay for Paul Reubens! 😀✌️
"we shall not see his like again" So dreadfully true. Beyond Pee Wee, he had some serious acting chops, and loved playing villains or even just despicable people, because it was FUN!
As a child in the 80s, I can say he was one of the biggest cultural big deals in my childhood. He meant so much to us in so many ways. He always showed us that its always better to be yourself no matter what. Its ok to be silly as an adult.
Touching tribute from Conan. Paul Reubens's death hit like a bolt from the blue. I was just enjoying Paul's appearances with Conan on Late Night and the TBS show a few weeks ago. Great he appeared on the podcast. Hard to believe he's gone and I don't even know why. Rest in Peace.
I am so glad I sat down to watch this. Paul was one of a kind. Your stories about him warmed my heart. I can honestly say that I am heartbroken and I never met the man. But his movies and shows are burned in my heart. I remember when I would see him do other things I would be loud because he met so much to my childhood
I too was drawn to revisit Paul's movies in the last 2 months and couldn't stop watching them on repeat and sharing them with my kids, niece and nephews. I found out he passed on my birthday this Monday. My family and children were all in awe because we had all been laughing and talking about him fondly the day before ❤🙏
What he faced was no different than other celebrities flaws.. whether it was drugs, theft, prostitution, etc etc. in our own worlds we often forget we are still humans, capable of flaw at any given moment. He had a great heart and that’s something many don’t have, he was kind and genuine. Thank you for the laughs and memories Mr. Reubens. Rest for now!
I’m so glad Paul Reubens is getting his due recognition. Pee Wee’s Big Adventure was a fixture in my family’s household. Part of the reason that I don’t care if people get why things are funny, he WAS SO funny and whoever disagrees doesn’t matter. The other characters he did were so great too.
Paul Reubens as an artist had 'something special' that upon encountering him you were shocked and amazed by is talent and charisma. It is obvious he had personal challenges but who does not have their own journey to walk in life. RIP Paul.
I'm sorry about his friend. I'm sad as a fan, but losing a beloved friend to cancer, for Conan to be this honest and real and share these memories when he's so sad, it's a beautiful tribute to his friend.
Really powerful story from Conan, this really reminds me of Norm's passing, both comedian's kept their illness a secret, and still seemed to be at the top of their game until the very end. RIP Paul/Pee Wee
This was an amazing story about friendship that you almost never see in Hollywood. I always find these types of humble famous people to be the most inspiring. Especially when it's very obvious Paul Reubens was a very generous and caring person. We lost one of the good ones RIP.
I saw Paul live twice. Once as peewee and once as himself and it hit me hard when he passed the other day, I grew up with him on my TV throughout my life. I agree Paul was a quick witted hilarious thoughtful human who just could talk for hours on a stage and yet be captivating and hilarious by just being his genuine self. He's left a big hole in this world.
Paul Reubens and Jim Varney really did a lot to create what must surely be thousands (likely more) recall moments from their quality collection of abilities and works. I can't even imagine a world they didn't exist in.
I couldn't wait for Saturday mornings. I would literally wake up with excitement just to spend 30 minutes at Peewee's Playhouse! It set the tone for my entire weekend! Everything had a soul in my house, and those things understood my soul. To say it was magical, doesn't begin to describe how deep of an effect that show had on my childhood. When Peewee would leave on his scooter and that song would play, I knew my weekend would be awesome. Have fun in your Playhouse forever in heaven Peewee! Thanks for an awesome childhood!
after he was busted for his porno visit CBS finished up the i think 5th season and than never aired it again for obvious reasons i mean i don't even remember them showing repeats of the show anyways i watched that last one and i was i think 13 at the time maybe 12? and it felt weird that the show was done cause it was a huge part of my child hood. i don't think we will ever see a remake of pee-wee at all because it would never work with anyone else at all ever though i would not be surprised if hollywood does try it but it would right away flop unless they do a bio. you can't create pee wee like he did
He seemed like such a kind wonderful person. I hope he knew how appreciated he was by so many people around the world. RIP Paul Reubens & thanks for sharing Conan!!!!!!!
that man was nothing more than a hornball. he just goes to x-rated movie theaters and beats off in public. then he asks little boys to touch his naughty parts

Omg hearing the unopened gifts from Paul made me cry 🥺 Thank you Conan, for sharing and always taking some time out of comedy to be truly vulnerable with your audience. ❤
This loss leaves a generation with a hole in our hearts. I was just watching clips of Pee-wee a couple weeks ago. Can't imagine my childhood without him. RIP, Paul Reubens.
My heart sank when I heard about Paul's passing, but it's this story from Conan that brought tears to my eyes. They started as sad tears, but became happy tears when Conan essentially shares that Paul left him a video on Conan's own magic screen. Simply beautiful.
@@jspur22you’re completely misrepresenting what actually took place. He wasn’t a pedophile. He had purchased a huge collection of art (thousands of pieces), some of which were found to contain erotica of underage people. He turned HIMSELF in to the police and the child pornography charges were eventually dropped.
@@MyKeeP81 are you that stupid? In 2001 Reubens was charged with misdemeanor possession of child pornography after police seized images from his computer and photography collection. Grow up.

I didn't realize how close Conan was to Paul. That was a great tribute. Paul was a big part of my childhood, some of my earliest memories were seeing Pee Wee on the screen, as well as other characters that he played. I never got to meet him, but its very emotional for me as well.
It's a great gift to get last words from someone you love. My grandmother's last words to me was, "I love you". Something about that memory comforts me every time I think about her. What a beautiful gift Paul gave to his friend Conan.
Sorry for the loss of your friend. Can tell he ment alot to you. A huge legacy he leaves behind. The man entertained and brought joy to millions world wide. Including myself.
Conan, thank you for sharing this story. What a touching and spontaneous remembrance of Paul Reubens. Peewee’s exuberant, zany, and endearing character is always accompanied by a core of sweetness. And that’s not something that can be faked. The story you tell of him here shows that sweetness ran deeply in Paul, and that makes me miss him all the more.
What a lovely and moving tribute. I really love the how tight knit the comedians are with one another. Although very sad, It’s really nice and comforting to hear how everyone is saying wonderful things about Paul Ruebens, as well as Sinead O’Connor.
Paul Reubens has died. And that is very sad and maybe too soon, but it isn't a tragedy. Because Paul really lived a good life. He brought joy and fun originally and creatively to a lot of people of all ages, all over the world, all over the years. And he brought love to the people closer to him. We should mourn his death for a moment but what we really should do is celebrate his life and get inspired by it from then on. Let's say instead: Paul Reubens has lived!
Ive never seen conan this actually bothered and torn up. You can tell hes gonna miss his friend alot Hes not making eye contact qnd furiously twiddling that pen. Thats a man fighting off pain and tears. 😢😢😢

@@dawn8542 I think that's just some people's way to say 'you got this', like 'don't give up'. Of course you have no other choice than to be "brave" so it's a bit of an unsensitive thing to say.

Such a moving tribute & eulogy. Paul is also moved, I am sure. I believe in the Woo: when my dad passed, also from cancer, a hawk circled our house in a tight pattern for half an hour, keening the whole time, then a rainbow broke in the east horizon, and a strange phone call was received, just crackling static with ethereal hymns heard faintly in the background. A lifelong Unitarian, my dad went all out to try to settle one aspect of an unsettled question for his family.
I am sorry to hear of your fathers passing😢 I love to hear the beautiful gifts that are left for loved ones to discover. I have had this happen when a loved one has passed in a dream or a sign is my passion. I think if more people knew their connections with others goes way beyond skin and flesh. I believe in a spirtitual connection that years later still signs come to me from my mother, and my sister both passing in 2014. I take comfort knowing that my belief gives me not just strength to know of life after passing but a faith that gets stronger everyday from the lives of the beautiful souls that surround us everyday. Paul Reubens was such a sweet soul and amazing talent. I was so excited when his Conan Needs a Friend episode came out, one of my most favorites! I will miss home greatly! 😞
One of my favorite humans of all times. I’ve loved Paul Rubens since the first time I laid eyes on him in the 80’s, and to this day I always enjoy listening to every single syllable of his work. I will miss him greatly. His episode on Conan’s podcast was mind blowingly hilarious to me like no other episode. Conan brought out the best in Paul and visa versa. I’ve listened to it ten times over the past year. Conan did a perfect job of expressing the appropriate level of adoration for this precious being. Rest well dear one of a kind soul.
Seems like doing good things like that for other people is what kept Paul alive during his illness. One could only strive to live with that kind of fortitude to do good for others while quietly suffering on the inside. His life was a gift to all of humanity. 😢 RIP Paul
Few celebrities remained supportive of Paul Reubens over the years. Despite the lack of favor that befell him, I adored his legacy. One of my child’s first words was Pee Wee and it was the first and, for a time, the only show she cared for. I was so happy to share one of my most beloved childhood treasures with her and relive one of the few endearing parts of my youth. Kindness, eccentricity, and a love for all things and all people were Reubens essence. I was elated when, years ago, Conan openly shared his private and deep respect for Reubens craft and contributions to the world of entertainment, and the true innovation that was his show. Upon hearing of Reubens passing, I immediately thought of Conan. While Paul ‘Pee Wee’ Reubens left us with his gift of laughter, his passing leaves this world a little less colorful. What he did not see is the happiness and wonderment he continued to inspire in children through either streams of his show, or through the adults he helped raise via syndication. Paul, Here’s to seeing you forever on our screens, and in our dreams. P.S. Conan, your stories and your heart are the healing we all need. Not just now, but for as long as you can give them. They are the gifts you continue to leave for us. Good night.

His mission in life was to make people smile and laugh. That’s why this hurts, it’s rare to have people like this in the world.
Or rare for people to be in the fulness of their own wonder.
Well yeah nevermind that he was a pedophile
more like it’s rare to have those who are widely recognized for it.
Exactly
Pee-Wee's big adventure was one of the first childhood films I showed my kids. And as a 40+ guy it still makes me laugh
Soooo...the reveal that he owned a LOT of CP and claimed it was "art" was a-ok to you?
Beautiful.
I’m touched by your tribute. You’re not the only person who has brought up what a decent man Paul was.
AHH , BUT SUCH A SPECIAL AND UNIQUE TRIBUTE ALA CONAN.
Do you know the title of the video about not becoming bitter?
@@billmcmahon5454easy to avoid cynicism when you’re rich!
@@billmcmahon5454 I sure will!
Can you share a link to the video? I tried to find it and failed. Thanks in advance
Thank you! All the fans aren’t “nosy neighbors”. The good side of entertainment boils down to who are down to earth, and the respectful loving unheard of fans on the other side of the fence. "He went out of his way to tell people what they meant to him..." - I think that sums up everything you need to know about what kind of amazing person this was... Thank you so much for sharing this - he was one-of-a-kind for sure :)
The child porn charges killed his career. He was found with photos of underage boys in his “vintage porn” collection. The charges were later dropped.
He was a terrific and supremely underrated actor.
Stop calling everything underrated kid. Peewee was in no way underrated. He's extremely internationally famous and has been for almost 45 years.
You're just twelve so anything you haven't heard of before is "underrated"
I'm guessing you don't know what "underrated" even means.
The Death of Paul Reubens really hit different. Hit me right in the feels as if I had lost a personal friend.
It’s weird man, I feel the exact same way.
As an 80s kid i was shocked! I used to watch Pee Wees Playhouse saturday mornings
Man, same here
Comment sections are full of essentially the same sentiment. He affected so many so deeply. I hope he knew.
Paul was a hundred times better than Mr. Rogers. Mr. Rogers was a Communist.
My sentiments exactly. Even as a kid I knew by Hollywood standards he was being judged far too harshly. Peoples sense of smug moral superiority drives me nuts.
Are yall aware that he pled guilty to posessing obscene images of children? It wasn't just the movie theater masturbation incident.
"we shall not see his like again"
So dreadfully true.
Exactly, being silly is ok and good for your mental health!

He died from cancer (not specified). He battled it for six years in private.
I am so glad I sat down to watch this. Paul was one of a kind. Your stories about him warmed my heart. I can honestly say that I am heartbroken and I never met the man.
"We shall not see his like again." That's a nice way to remember someone, who, seemingly by ALL accounts, was a very special, much-beloved person.
The child porn charges killed his career. He was found with photos of underage boys in his “vintage porn” collection. The charges were later dropped.
He was a warrior for the right for kids to be kids. He was reminding adults of their own innocent youth.
Paul Reubens as an artist had 'something special' that upon encountering him you were shocked and amazed by is talent and charisma. It is obvious he had personal challenges but who does not have their own journey to walk in life. RIP Paul.
It's a real trip to realize that someone very kind and very important to you was telling you goodbye without you realizing it at the time.

Sorry for your loss Conan, my favorite scene Paul ever did was his last scene in the Buffy movie. He was a comedic gem ❤❤❤
Paul was an absolute genius he's going to be sorely missed, we lost a legend 😢

Good night.
I've always been a huge fan of pauls ,even though the rough times. My respect of you,Conan , goes even more. I thank you for sharing this private part of your life with us. Most people don't even realize how many movies they saw Paul in. 🙏
Oh man, Conan. Thank you for this remembrance. Mr. Reubens was such a brilliant and unique talent -- so lovely to hear he was such a good, kind friend as well.
Conan, thank you for maintaining your kind integrity, you are such an American treasure!😊
Love you Paul. ❤ He was an integral part of my youth. What a cool guy…
He was one of one. No one like him, no one ever will be.
