Who knew that origami would have such a practical application??
It’s pretty impressive!
Thank you for the data on your stable canoes so you can paddle. Give your little girl a hug from us. Carolyn...thanks for the share...
Thanks!
Those boats are amazing! Very cool to see the salamanders. Nice to be in eastern Oregon without wind and smoke.
We agree!
Absolutely love your adventures! This time…. The salamanders ruled!
🙌🙌🙌😁😁
Thanks for the Salamander takes we have then in our yard and on the deck all the time never seen them swim cool.
No problem 👍
Salamanders ! Very Cool ✌
That was a fun little video guys. With the stabilizers on the canoe, I could see Dave standing in the middle of a lake fly fishing (Do you fly fish Dave?). Be safe as you head east. Carey On!
It’s been years…
Thanks, I’ll stick with my plan for an inflatable kayak. That salamander was huge! Thanks!
Have fun! We tried the inflatable route but for us it just didn’t work. If you have time to let it get really dry in all the nooks and crannies before you roll it up and store it you should be good to go. We didn’t and mold can be an issue.
I love small kayaks. I did get a little overwhelmed by wind and choppy cold water one time.
This stabiliser is great as you 😂 ❤❤
Thanks 😅
Nice video I love that lake .
Thanks. It’s crazy low right now!
We will have to get together and do some fishing...
Deal!
No fishing 😮 I think I saw a fish rising there.....😊
Should have fished. They were rising all around us:)
Boston's aren't particularly greedy but they eat almost anything...even berries lol
Truth!
👍👍👍
🙌🙌
cool ...now it's time for my Nap zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Goodnight!
Since you have to assemble the canoe and then spend time inflating and attaching the stabalizers, wouldn't an inflatable kayak be less space and same set up time?
We’ve had both an inflatable kayak and paddle boards. These work way better for us. Inflatable’s definitely take a lot more time to inflate than these. Our inflatable kayak was actually bigger and heavier. Our paddle boards were about the same. The biggest issue with the inflatables is they are difficult to dry completely before rolling them up. Lots of nooks and crannies and if they aren’t dried it can mold. Haven’t had that issue with these.
So if you had to pick one boat would it be the Duo or the Solo2? Maybe one of each so you have the best of both worlds?
Tough question! Might be to early to say for sure but we really love them both. For fishing and going out on the same boat together the Duo is awesome. But when Dave wants to go out alone The solo2 is so dang quick, light and simple. Maybe one of each is the answer.🤷♂️😁🙌🙌
All it needs now is a sail
🙌🙌😁
How much drag do you feel with the stabilizers installed compared with them off? Do you find your glide time much reduced?
It was noticeable but nothing that would bother us.
How about now they add a pedaled outboard propeller? Isn't that a great idea? Now be honest.
I’m gonna need a bigger truck…;)
@@CareyOnVagabond It would be a small electrical generator between the pedal cranks. Feeding to electric wires that would go to a little sealed motor that would be directly linked to the propeller.
