In a oncoming storm.... Fill your Fuel tank and LP Tanks; Fill your Water tanks Dump your Grey and Black tanks while you can; tied down any loose items to your trailer wheels. Hookup your rig incase you got to leave in a moment's notice. Move your rig away from rivers and creeks to high ground. Be sure you have enough meds onboard to last a week. Fill water bottles. Charge all your batteries. Stabilizers down. Try to point the trailer nose into the wind if possible.
Aye aye cap!
I live in Georgia, what you should have worried about the most, was the trees that surrounded you! Glad it worked out 👍🏻 good stuff!
It's spring, and the storms will come. Be aware, be prepared, and enjoy the next morning's sun and fresh air . Thank you for sharing.
Yes, thank you:)
Two Egg is in Florida. It’s the birthplace of actress Faye Dunaway. The tri-state corner of AL, FL, and GA is a convergence of water resources. Western GA has some beautiful spots and quite a bit of history. But I guess this video was more about dodging spring tornadoes. Glad you were kept safe with no damage.
Thanks for the info!
I live in Carrollton, and Alan is from just south of here in Coweta. The Chattahoochee River runs in Carroll and Coweta... He is speaking of the Chattahoochee River ... also runs through Atlanta, but if you are still or ever visit Georgia again, visit Helen, GA where we all "shoot the Hooch" on inner tubes. It's also a little town that was made to look lie a German town.
Alan Jackson grew up somewhere around Atlanta. The Chattahoochie River runs through there and then on down to South Georgia. The song was about the river.
Newnan GA.
We drop our corner Jacks for stormy weather also, really makes a difference. I bought a shroud for our ceiling fan at camping world, attaches with cotter pins and works great.
Alan was singing about the river and burning rubber in his car. He grew up in Newnan, which is about 25 miles from R Shafer Heard. My mom and father in law graduated with Alan.
Welcome to the South this is why we are called the Bible belt we say are prayers an go to bed with no worries.
Chattanooga is a river that runs through most of Georgia. Tubing is a popular activity on the river. Commonly referred to as “shooting the Hooch” as in “let’s shoot the Hooch this weekend.”
Chattahoochee River
Feeling and tasting lightning can only mean one thing, it's to damn close. Stay safe.
It definitely was!
I painted my A/C, my roof vents and my fridge vents with bed liner paint. I didn’t do it to max air fans. I covered them with moving quilts/blankets and duct taped it in. Solar panels and windshield too!
Well, while you two are contending with tornadoes, we are flip flopping from winter to spring. Today, its winter. Typical Montana spring. I think that I prefer to deal with snow over tornadoes. I'm glad that the storm didn't disturb Pistol. The Green Bean Queen needs her beauty sleep. Safe travels! Carey On!!!
Yes, definitely would prefer snow😂
@@CareyOnVagabond be safe out there.
Chattahoochee river
Yep we got a bit of the storm here in Jax! All is well….. just waiting to leave for our Texas r&r!😊😊😊🤠
Nice video. I once lower my jacks in a storm. Everyone left the area, but my camper was ok.
Allen Jackson grew up in Newnan GA. I love your video.
Jackson was referring to the Chattahoochee River near Newnan, Ga.
OMG! We go tp Shaefer Heard a good bit since it is close. In fact, Shaefer Heard is on the Chattahoochee River!!!
I hadn’t seen your videos in a while. So great to see you guys again! Love the truck camper!!
Welcome back!
Great planning. Glad all was fine
"Down by the river on a Friday night..."
And like us, “never had a plan just livin for the minute”😁
Glad you were safe!!!
Thanks!
Been there, done that, kept the jacks up in case we had to make a quick exit.
Alan Jackson is from Lagrange Ga. Next to West Point Reservoir, an impoundment on the Chatahoochee River. The video shows water skiing on this body of water. R Shaefer Heard park is on West Point.
Alan Jackson was born and raised in Newnan Georgia
Newnan was our last stop on a 6,003 mile 28 day adventure out i40 to the Ca border and back on I10/65/40. Newnan is a great town but the State Park is a ways out there. Stayed 2 nights.
one of my favorite Corp of Engineer Camps is Holiday in La Grarange, GA... which is on the time border.... i always seem to land there on my way north
So many great coe campgrounds in this part of the country!
He was singing about the Chattahoochee River, not a city and that region.
Chattahoochee is a river that runs through Georgia on its way to the coast.
I think we have been on the same rural GA roads - sheesh! We did stay at Eastbank & my brother has been at R. Schafer Heard. So many great places in that GA / AL area. But the tornado watches...
Tis the season I guess:)
We were rocked mid June of last year 2023 in Crossett Arkansas in our Lance 825. We were coming home cross country from Nevada to Alabama. We stopped to boon dock in the Walmart parking lot for the night and checked the radar, which didn’t look that bad but put our rear jacks down just in case. At 3 am we were hit with straight line winds and the was rocking really bad. It was raining so hard that the rain water blew straight in from the outside refrigerator cover. As we got as low in the camper as we could the camper rocked really far and if the jacks had not been down and if we didn’t have a motorcycle trailer attached, I feel as though we would have turned over. One of, if not the scariest storm related moment of our lives.
Yikes! What a wild night!
I saw someone make a hail car cover out of rope and pool noodles. Perhaps make a small cover for your fan and skylight?
Definitely need something 👍
With, as you say, “…the storm was coming from the south”, I’m thinking I would probably *not* park north of that HUGE PINE TREE!
Wow, the lightening sounds were romantic..
Perhaps, we have a Carey jr. on the way soon, huh?
This was definitely a realistic snapshot of life living in a truck camper..
It’s not always sunsets and rainbows😉 We wouldn’t have it any other way!😁
Newnan, Georgia….hometown of Alan Jackson…you were close. I taught in the school system for 25 years….now I live in Florida…..
Pistol is sleeping, knowing no matter what is going on, she is safe. That is because of good parents!
I lived one yr in Sneads Fl. next to two egg. Yes you are right, there is nothing there. and Chattahoochee fl is where the state mental hospital is. I spent a yr teaching there, wow, fortunately I left after l yr.
Alan grew up in a town north of Columbus ga. Near the Chattahoochee river. Cause I grew up in Smiths Alabama which is on the Chattahoochee
Surely someone has already said this, but YES there is a Chattahoochee Hills, Ga. It’s in middle Ga. sw of Atl.
Dixie Alley is no place to be when there are strong storms and tornados about! ⛈️🌪️🌬️ You lucked out, for certain. 😉
That other song took place in Alabama ( i think) about a lady who was thrown off the choctohatchee bridge. ? enjoy your video guys.
Alan Jackson sang about the Chattahoochee River.
he was talking about the Chatahoochee River in Ga
Leaving the Bicker Session at 1:49 ... Are you serious! Safe travels folks, don't get into a spat while driving!
Bicker session😂
Glad you three are OK after the storm. Where did you get that seat for Pistol?
Hi! Here’s a link to Pistols throne! 🐶👑amzn.to/3VXY2E9
I live next to East Bank on lake Lanier
Do y’all know what he meant when he was talking about eating in that song?😂 the song doesn’t mean what we all thought growing up. You need to research it
How can she be excited about GA, when she is sleeping on a large pile of “green beans”! She is counting green beans not sheep!
Stop by Hodges Field near Americus, Ga,,,weather permitting we’ll give you a Tandem Paramotor ride,,,for instructional purposes of course
That would be so cool but we are already out of Georgia!
Can`t be too careful. I kept thinking, throw a quilt over you hood.
Not sure it would have still been there after the crazy winds they went through 😂
Nice tats Becky.....are they real or paste on?
Yikes! Maybe a tornado coming.
Were those all peanut fields??
Thanks again. Dave would not have this problem...

🌵🌵💀💀👍👍🌵🌵
🙌😁
And don’t forget to grab Pistols green bean blanket
👍😁
watch some others videos and no one puts down how the roads are, ive been doing the blm long term the last 6 years but will just be the blm ahort term stuff cause last tears it seems people just have to park with in 30 feet of me when there's 100 acres around with no one on it its like they are afraid of the dark and being 1000 feet away from anyone so no more long term, and ive gone several way south and have driven 200 miles out of my way to try to stay on a road that does not beat me and the motorhome into junk
