  • This thing handles excellent for only being 19 pounds and 9.5 feet long! I did tip it over on purpose but it took some effort and felt pretty stable while standing. Ill do another review later on this year.

You can get even more stability with their optional stabilizer floats you can lash to the sides. I've own the Solo 2 for a couple weeks now and they just delivered the foot rests that attach to the other two clips on the harness and a bungee hook that slips in between the folds at the front nose(?) of the canoe. Pretty comfy and should enable more powerful strokes.

I’m looking for an actual folding canoe. This “canoe” appears to really be a kayak. Does anyone know if this can actually be paddled like a canoe?

It can be paddled like a canoe. They make both styles of paddles. With a boat this short you want a paddle like the one used.

Very cool... But I'm wondering, are the edges sharp? If you were just in a swimsuit and you were in and out, could you cut yourself on it?

What's your opinion of this in comparison to inflatable kayaks? Which would you suggest for periodic use?

I haven't used an inflatable kayak but from what I'm imagining is sitting on an inflatable mattress and then hitting it with a hook and then sinking to the bottom of the lake

@@BendItFishing My experience with an inflatable was good. They've got really strong fabric and since I don't fish, hooks weren't an issue. Other than being mindful of water depth and submerged hazards, really enjoyed the comfort of settling down with comfy chambers cradling your back and sides. Thanks for your review.

Man the auto exposure on your big camera was doing some serious hunting! Hope it’s nothing serious. Canoe looks great though!

I wouldn’t want that thing even if it was free. Thanks for the review though.

Just curious, what reservations about the design do you have?
