    if you look close, With the intake box window installed it looks like its actually sucking the glass inward when you rev it up as if it was being restricted.

  • @ricks_toys

    Looks like the air box doesnt have enough volume/flow to suffieciently draw air in. You can see when you rev it the top glass deforms due to the this restriction(vacuum).

    Great video as usual. I’m still not sold on this intake personally. There’s no gains and honestly the construction of it is meh IMO. I’ve heard quite a few people complain that the filter comes loose. And to have such minimal noise increase, I just don’t see the value in it. From a visual standpoint, it looks cool, but I’m not a fan of the huge logo on the plexi window. Not knocking SXTH since they’re one of the few companies making aftermarket parts for our ENs, I just wish it was more robust and had actual gains.

      And I'm not a fan of sixth as far as how the car's run with their tunes I think jvperformance in Puerto Rico are doing alot better with just a jb4 and a map 6 which is crazy because jb4 is just a piggyback as opposed to sixth's ecu tune 🤷🏾‍♂️

    • @Roflcakes88
      @Roflcakes88 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Have to agree. Intercooler upgrade would be first on my list of beneficial "intake" mods. Less heat soak and cooler IAT.

    • @Boosted00
      @Boosted00 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No gains un tuned. Also at stock boost and stock flow levels it's a very efficient air intake from factory but when you start adding mods and a tune and more air is needed to be sucked in the factory set up won't be as efficient as this SXTH air intake kit will be at higher boost levels.
      Maybe it won't make a difference even then but most likely not the case.
      The upgraded turbo inlet pipe probably makes a bigger difference over the stock one since the stock one is very small and restrictive.

      It was only vehicles built in like September-October of 2021, so if you haven't got yours yet you should definitely be okay. I have not, and I suppose this is a "hot take" but modern PCV systems are really good. Catch cans/AOS's can create issues like freezing in winter, and while yes, the can will catch some fluids that would otherwise be burned in the combustion chamber - that doesn't mean it's automatically detrimental as (I hate to break it to people) you burn trace amounts of external material (usually oil) all the time. Just my opinion, the biggest issue is not using one makes it more prone to knock/detonate, so definitely take logs to verify in the worst possible scenario.

    If the clutch was backwards it wouldn't have gone into gear. They're likely finding the clutches they chose as stock aren't holding up to the abuse. Same issue something like a golf r or gti manual has if you wanna modify it might as well throw a clutch in

    • @williamrori1274
      @williamrori1274 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's not true, pending the construction of the clutch it will function backwards with lasting damage to the springs on the disk as well as slow damage to the pressure plate. It was reversed, as I was able to see the whole assembly upon removal. As far as the clutch thing goes, these are not like the VW's haha - you can run 400 whp on the OE clutch without slipping. Not like GTI's that need a clutch after a stage 1 flash tune lol
