This vehicle with its 22" wheels looks like a fashion model in a cocktail dress and on stiletto heels. Yet she isn't afraid to get dirty and do hill climbs. Very impressive. Great review. Great presentation. Classy looks. 10/10
It’s why people like Range Rovers and Land Rovers. Rugged enough to carry muddy farm equipment and climb up a steep muddy hill, but posh enough to take to the finest restaurant in town. It’s like a Barbour jacket. Sophisticated but rustic

Fabulous review as always. And for those of us who watched last night’s live stream, it’s quite apparent why Sarah could never give up doing her own editing. There are just way too many “streams of consciousness” nuggets going on that would be missed by someone other than Sarah. Thank you, Sarah. 👍👍👍
As a Brit I'm kinda proud of the Defender, so off road capable (with the right wheels) and so stylish. Can't get the Bronco in the UK...c'mon Ford! Thanks Sarah, great monochrome review 😁👍
Sarah, just to add validity to one of your statements - I work in the healthcare field and I have heard the phrase "look at the size of that bladder" several times!
I am pleased that Sarah let the robots do their work off road and didn't start sawing on the gas pedal like some other testers. Its been said by other testers that even on very modest off-road tires that the Defender offroad punches well above its weight. This was a test that I enjoyed. Thanks 👍
I’ve just realized how you’re coordinating your wardrobe with the cars colors you review. These brands have no idea what great marketing you do for them. I literally thought of you as the woman consultant at these brands who is the final step of the car purchase who explains the features and details to the consumer before they exit with their new car. Nice review. Thanks. Last year drove my 110 P400 from Atlanta to Eureka, California and then to NYC and Kiawah Island, SC without any issues. Road Warrior and so comfortable tracking highway miles.
Excellent detailed review. Now I know why my '23 110X is the best driving vehicle I have ever owned. It's engineered well in excess of any execution I will ever put it through. The feel and feedback of the drive are worth the price of admission and the amazing looks are simply a bonus.
Sarah does the best Car Reviews Bar None.... The matching Fashion outfits tantalize and enhance the viewing experience. Your Engineering prowess is evident at all times. No One Does It Better!!
Your matching outfits are always appreciated. Great heritage vehicle. It's a capable offroader that unfortunately too many owners will never take off-roading
The rear door has an auto close option, so one doesn’t have to slam it. The refrigerator in the center console is an option. Try to get the large infotainment screen…..the 20” rim allows one to get more rugged tires.
I had this car for 2 years and it is a GREAT car. Highly recommend it. Comfortable. Powerful, smooth, feels like a tank. I would have kept it longer, but traded it in for a Rivian R1S for an additional 435hp. Hard to say no to that.
Should have been EASY to say no! Now that you bought it, it's worthless. Plus, it doesn't work in the winter and if you crash, it makes bacon out of you!
Excellent review. Love the Defender. We had old school ones with a manual while deployed. They were basically a box on wheels - beat up, but loads of fun to drive.
Yup Landrover products love hairy cardboard, skid plates are an option. I did ask when I first saw the Defender prototype at production if there would be a manual option and they're all auto's as far as I can tell, and we do get the diesel in the UK as that is the better option fuel cost wise.
Seriously this is the very best review I’ve seen! And I see many !! Informative ( very) and entertaining. I actually have almost the same vehicle. P400 and same color. 69,000 amazing miles!! Oh and the back door. Not sure if you know but you can gently push it until it contacts and then it will automatically close and seal . Again Fantastic review and I hope you enjoy your Bronco !!!!
The perfect defender 110 would be Diesel/ 17 inch rims and alot more tire on the ground. 4 inches more ground clearance, and alot less electronics. I think the only way I could feel differently is if I had one and wheeled it for a year in Utah Idaho Wyoming and Colorado to take it through the paces.
Stifling a sneeze must never be done in my presence under any circumstances. It might be bad to hold in a sneeze. There are some risks of holding in a sneeze, such as a ruptured eardrum, rupture of superficial blood vessels to the eye or nose, throat or neck pain, and less commonly, rupture of a brain aneurysm or rib fractures. Still, experts say those complications are very rare.
Well Sarah I very much agree with you about diesel engines and manual transmissions, I know lots of people think that is old school or just afraid of all of what is involved with operation of a manual. I just prefer a manual. Love watching and listening to you in your videos.
Fantastic review Sarah Defender is a brilliant vehicle Even with 22” tyres, it did extremely well off road ! But these aren’t the appropriate tyres for off road use U can fit 18” tyres, with minor adjustments Because of a high GVM & GCM the braking system is very robust ! As u say, sadly most people never take their SUV off road And most are bought in mall crawler spec ! I can’t wait for the SVX versions of Defender that will be finally released soon The off road capability of these will be next level These versions of Defender will shut up all the people who say Defender isn’t a rugged off road vehicle ! It is already, if u spec it the right way !
Nice to at least admire the future of off-road vehicles, but I really did enjoy the days of old with low-budget basics of my 77 CJ7. Top off 😉 windshield down. Great review and absolutely gorgeous outfit 😍 10/10 You're since of humor is always fabulous 🫶🏼 it must have been absolutely freezing when they designed those exhaust tips 🥶
These vehicles do so well for what they're built for. Unfortunately their reliability is so poor, unless you're changing them out at the end of your lease period, you're just asking for a world of hurt. Always on point with your reviews!! I appreciate the British tunes to go along with the vid. So Posh. 🙂
Maintenance is a big part of reliability. Leased vehicles don't get much of that due to the fact Lease companies care even less about the vehicle than most of the people who lease them. It's just a contract # to be disposed of when a certain milage is up.
Great review, Sarah. Hopefully, Land Rover has improved their overall quality from years ago. This one has impressive features. I couldn't help but notice your shoes. Back in the day, they were known as "spectator" shoes. As always, keep up the great work. I'm glad your channel is working well for you.
I've detailed a few of these tanks and although I really like the short wheel base, it is horrible trying to get to the back seats. Also, the vinyl floor are great if you like taking your dogs with you. If get mud on the front floors you can hose them off. The piano black exterior looks great but it is easy to scratch.
The main thing to consider in an off-road vehicle-- serviceability-- there is a lot of stuff to go wrong, & probably at the worst possible place and time; Like when my Jeep had an issue on the Dalton Highway halfway to Deadhorse , AK. I got the part the same day. The Defender is a great looking SUV, though; doubly so for the reviewer!
Wish we could get those in the 'States. I can imagine why we can't though, diesels here all have to have modifications to cripple them thanks to California (mostly). A lot of manufacturers simply choose not to sell here rather than redesign the entire thing for California restrictions
I remember we had the old styles of these in the RAF. There was I was there a fuel controller just below the driver seat what we used to do was put it in the middle instead of over on reserve and it would run out of fuel as a little joke for the next person who got in.
The Rover vehicles with air adjustable suspension also have "extended and "super extended" modes. On some models this will give almost 2" additional suspension lift. The "offroad" mode will default to normal height at 50MPH. I've got a Range Rover Sport with a 3.0L Turbo-Diesel 6 cyl engine. LOVE THAT VEHICLE! With some decent tires I'm convinced it'll go anywhere my full sized ZR2 truck will go
I still love my bronco. Tho they are both “off-roaders” it’s kinda apples to oranges. I can’t imagine taking a defender and ripping all the seats out and replacing them with a cargo deck like I’ve done with my bronco. Plus in the summertime popping that roof all the way off…I gotta choose my bronco even tho I know the defender is more comfortable and posh.
Every time I see a Land Rover review, I always think ok of Doug DeMuro's and the bumper to bumper CarMax warranty saga. As entertaining as his videos were, yours are far and away more entertaining and informative.
Great review! Great looking SUV and matching clothes! My gut is that it won't be reliable and in the shop a lot. Just like most Land Rover brand products the last 20 years. Sad but true!
