They don’t rattle during normal movement patterns. You have to intentionally rotate them like the video to make them that loud. The actual noise is so negligible you only notice it when racking and unracking from the cradle.

And I don’t know what the improvements were in gen 3 and gen 4….but I will say it’s kinda frustrating when it increasingly seems that companies bring their products to market intentionally unfinished knowing that they will get to guinea pig it on their customers and then come up with improvements. They know if they sell enough they can make enough money to improve it. Maybe there’s no way around it, too expensive to spend it all upfront on R&D; still frustrating though. Regardless, I’m still happy with mine

You have to buy the stand atm from pepin but rep (who did a collab) said they are in the process of making them too. Idk still pricey but placed the order
Weight increments are nice because there's 3 increments every 10lbs instead of 2, better for micro loading. Like how they are heavier at 92lbs, nuobells only up to 80lbs ❌ Rattling might be annoying though

I think a lot of it is familiarity. It's kind of like if you had a weight plate that was 48lbs. Just goes against what most are accustomed to.

They say they've tightened it up some in the newer versions but I think it's inherent to the design.
