    Great looking dumbbell set, but that rattling would drive me crazy.

      We'll see how it is in use, I just know some people are turned off by noise.

    • @deltamike407
      @deltamike407 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      They don’t rattle during normal movement patterns. You have to intentionally rotate them like the video to make them that loud. The actual noise is so negligible you only notice it when racking and unracking from the cradle.

      @@imip.1252 I guess it does have a couple. Tbh I had no idea they were up to “gen 4” dumbbells until I went on their website. And I don’t know what the improvements were in gen 3 and gen 4….but I will say it’s kinda frustrating when it increasingly seems that companies bring their products to market intentionally unfinished knowing that they will get to guinea pig it on their customers and then come up with improvements. They know if they sell enough they can make enough money to improve it. Maybe there’s no way around it, too expensive to spend it all upfront on R&D; still frustrating though. Regardless, I’m still happy with mine

    Idk why people hate on the smaller odd increments I feel like it’d be better to progress in smaller increments rather than 5 or 10 pounds like some of the other brands
    Also that rattling shouldn’t be an issue as long as they don’t fall apart

    • @BasementBrandon
      @BasementBrandon  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think a lot of it is familiarity. It's kind of like if you had a weight plate that was 48lbs. Just goes against what most are accustomed to.

    Weight increments are nice because there's 3 increments every 10lbs instead of 2, better for micro loading. Like how they are heavier at 92lbs, nuobells only up to 80lbs ❌

      During normal movement patterns, the only shifting you get is between the through holes on the plates and the rod. The only time I ever notice any noise from mine is when racking and unracking from the cradle. If there’s any other noise, it’s so negligible I don’t even notice it.
