The 2000xl is an underrated machine the effects on the effects board make it sound more lofi then the 3000 because they are very lofi effects in a beautiful way and the people who say the OG 2000 sounds so much better don't realise the eb16 effects board has eq that can make the low end on the 2000xl boom basically with the 8 outs and the effects it's way better then people give it credit for.
Have you ever encountered a lifted pad on an encoder? I've got a 2500 with a q-link and the main volume not working. Inspecting closer, the pins detached from the board and has lifted some pcb around the data pins. I'm trying to figure out if I need to fix the traces or if I can put some solder down on each pin to fix. Curious if you've encountered this in your work on these machines. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks
I am thinking on buying an mpc that I saw for sale. Downer part is that the cursor don’t work (left,right,down,up). Is it a low cost/ easy fix ? I had one a few years back and It was starting to give out.But with a (pressing hard)gentle press it would work. Any info would work.

I had that same problem with your efx board on my video card for my pc. I just had to loosen it a bit. Maybe try that? Good video though

Having a disk boot error on my 2k. It’s asking for a 1.0 disc but I have a 1.5. Should I get a 1.0 disc or will a usb swap fix the issue
