Looks great 👍 but you may want to have them teach you how to weld aluminum with a small welder you can have with you in the middle of nowhere just in case 🤔⛵️
That's quite the aluminum jigsaw puzzle Plukky. But it's going together incredibly quickly. I'm impressed and stoked for you. Buena suerte, cuídate mucho amigo.
Hope everything is going well Plukky, your boat's looking more like a boat and less like a pile of Aluminium every day. It will certainly turn heads when it's on the water. All the best to you and all the best to the marvellous team building it.
Amazing progress with the boat. Great building crew. It is going to be a glorious boat. Lisa will be happy, everything will be working on the boat. Thanks for th video captain.
Hi Plucky, thanks for the update - progress of the chess board looking looking good! Sebastian looks nowt like Lisa but I agree appears to be a top bloke!
Top stuff..an excellent video..and kudos to you Plucky..you continue to surprise me. This enterprise is all your own doing and its like a perfect example of how you can do amazing things if you have a dream and enough energy and versatility. Quite how you chose this shipyard I do not know but that was a good decision.
Still apologizing for my comment about your lack of comments Plukky. I do hope you get to see some applications from adventuresome young ladies in the future. You have aways had great success as a sailing tutor in those circumstances.
Timing! #1! I have been watching trying to work out where the dagger boards will go or if they are already installed. It is really getting close to systems installations.
Plucky, let's gooooooooooo!!!!! ..... I've been waiting as per usual and literally just got home from the beach down here in the keys.... I've been waiting to see some progress bud 👍
Nice space for hanging lockers behind the dagger board housing. Is it possible to loose the dagger boards? Could they slip through the dagger board housing?
@@More_Row No, I'm not a welder myself but I work in heavy industries here in Scandinavia so I see Kemppi all the time. I was just surprised to see their kit all the way in Vietnam.
Sign up #3, he's wacky, he might have some friends to join the party boat, just see it now plodding along with clouds of dope smoke coming out the windows 😂😂
6am even 5 am, no prizes for guessing what I'm doing at that time. Messing with the bracing, try that at sea I dare you 🙂.... that's a thought are you taking a TIG welder with you on your voyage? and some sheet aluminium, various shapes and sizes (I've seen your videos I would take a few - girl crew and all - whoops now I'm in trouble).
Sebastien looks like he could be a good fit, brings some skills, and world travel during COVID wasn't easy. The family's back in Canada and he needs to rebuild the kitty. How much are you paying?
So it almost looks like they put the dagerboard in then they weld the dagerboard case around it ? If I were patient I'd wait and watch lol. Or, that is the case ? sorry
Delos boat is very heavy. No cats should be heavy. Don't trust me, talk to any catamaran sailor. Expedition boat is code for sail slowly and poorly. Crazy what people decide.
Plucky what do you think of Brian from Sailing SV DELOS building a cat as well aluminum hull cat ??? Hes doing it himself i dont think he relizes how much tig welding is involed on the Commercial scale ???
I don't understand how they can do so many welds and make sure they're all watertight before they put the boat completely together and put it in the water.
Liked! Subscribed!! Commented!!! Hey slap us with some numbers on how much aluminum wire your using!!! i still cant believe i havent seen an auto darkener helmet.
Plukky can you get Elon Musk Company to install a GPS automatic pilot system so you can program the boat to come to New Orleans, then up the Mississippi River to Baton Rouge and pick me up ? Thanks Mate.
Yep, top bloke indeed is Sebastian. Strikes me as self aware and, yeh, got some skills. Old mate cotton mouth Joe seems confused about where did he come from, where did he go so…. Yeh nah yeh: prolly not, hay?
Also their probably gonna make these first few boats to such a high standard to set the market...... it's just genius to be there and film it to make sure as well.... you lucky 🤬 wish i could hear them in English what their going on about, meaning how their critiquing their own work....
"To sail the world fossil fuel free" In an aluminium vessel welded together - have you any idea how much power it takes to smelt aluminium in an arc furnace? Up to 14 114 kWh of energy to smelt one metric ton! Plus TIG/MIG welding takes 3 to 4 kWh per welder. Fossil fuel free, I think not!

I can't believe how far along the build is already, wow! 🤗💞
Sebastien seem's genuine and like able and the fact he can edit video's should make him quite an asset to you as we all know how you loath editing lol

Nothing but quality design, execution and future crew. Impressive! Thumbs up for Sebestien.

Amazing progress Pluky.

ok, while Sebastion can't apparently run a spell checker he seems like an ok bloke!
Still waiting to see how they attach the inboard bow plates. 😮
Plukky, I have the time and the money and the experience but I don’t think I’m a team player anymore. Wish I could.

Welder from Kemppi. Finnish quality! 👍
Good to see Kemppi still going. I used to work for a company that hired them out over 35 years ago!

An excellent video
Exciting. How many kilos of welding wire when finished?!
A LOT less than the buckets of resin that go into the plastic equivalent, for sure!
Sebastian seems like a great candidate for sure but the shut down part Idk if that'd be a good thing comes Emergency time .a 7 out of 10
Hey Plucky
Are you using L shaped dagger boards like Nahoa to give the boat some lift while sailing.
They are using mini keels
Looking good !
How much longer until boat is finished
Looking good Plucky 🤙🤙🤙🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲⛵⚓⛵
Ahoy Plukky!🏴☠🔱
Sebastian can probably add better food choices and video than the Pluckster. Lol
Hello Plucky,Any chance of you putting a mic on your collar so we can hear you talking. The grinding and other noise is masking your speech.
Yo Klebs!
Looks like it will be underway by Oct 1.
Using dagger boards instead of mini keels, are you able to beach the boat?
Yes, when he raises the dagger boards up.
Pert near retired Pluck. Sailor and electrician, will travel. Ps i fly drones.
So much work, so many welds, amazing to see something so complex go from paper to reality. Are there any female craftsmen in that shop?
They run sail lofts, both hard jobs.
