Hi Tanya, you really dont miss a thing, do you? The 'new' snack bowl is stunning, thanks to your passion. Excellent work! Stay safe & well. Warm wishes, Ree 😃🥰
Tanya that apple wood is beautiful..I enjoy your videos you are so genuine and can clearly see that you enjoy turning..(but I believe that newbie turners would love to see more of the mounting and tenon removal process) thanks again keep up the great content.
Beautiful little bowl. I love the color and character. The color sort of reminds me of the color black cherry gets as it ages but with much more character. TY for posting! Take Care.
Thank you 😊 It does have the look of cherry aged. This is the first piece of apple that hasn't cracked and changed shape after turning. I am excited to turn the other smalls I bought like this. I think most are the same age.
Who would have thought that you would be turning a bowl that’s the same age as you. It’s a pretty bowl. Have a great weekend and we will see you in a week.
Thank you 😊 I bought this and a bunch of other smalls from a woodturner who passed, I think, a year after I started turning. I just never turned any until this video. I wanted a change from turning so much big stuff.😁
Well Tanya maybe because I am always hungry but can definitely see a lump of dough being dropped into a proving bowl just below your polar bear!! Great character bowl looking pretty fine for its age. Hope you and the family have a great weekend. C.
Unique apple wood blank!! I'm sure, there not too easy to come by!! Gorgeous character and beautiful rich finish tone! Amazing, it took 5 coats and might want more! Think it's perfect, as it stands now!!
Apple is fantastic wood to turn. If you haven’t, get a piece of green apple wood. You’ll have so much fun spraying LONG ribbons across the shop. You may have so much fun that you don’t get a project out of it. But that’s ok too once in a while. This is a great bowl. Love all the character apple gives. You did a great job with it as well.
Another fine job on great little bowl! It does look like a polar bear side the bowl.. have a piece of 15 year old apple that I still have not figured out exactly how I want to turn it. It has a lot of beetle holes all in it and not sure how to incorporate them in the project. Just hope it turns out this nice! Again great job!
Thank you 😊 I am sure you will do an amazing job turning it. Sounds like the design feature is already chewed into it. I would either turn it as is or pick some pigments and cast it in resin that will enhance the natural beauty of the beetle holes. Whatever you choose will be beautiful.
Hi 👋, Tanya , I hope you are both keeping safe and well, gorgeous looking 👀 apple 🍏 wood bowl, it’s amazing what you can see in the grain , he was bearing 😂 up, under the strain I’ve been spun round, he thought he would come out and see what was going on, 😂, 🧸, eating my Apple 🍎 wood 🪵, 😂, I hope you both have a great weekend, I look 👀 forward to seeing your next project, Phil from the moulin.
@@TanyaBecherWoodturning Sorry to hear that you are suffering with Covid, and I wish you a speedy recovery, and I hope it doesn’t get through the rest of the family, the reason why I asked what was that hard had problems sending emails to people over the last month or so, I have literally thousands and thousands of photographs of work projects and things I have done over the years too many obviously to send , I hope for you for a speedy recovery , have a beautiful weekend, and I’ll have my coffee ready for next Thursday, Phil from the moulin
The grain in the wood never ceases to amaze me. That bowl is gorgeous and it was nice to have a polar bear show up. Enjoy the rest of your week and enjoy the weekend.
Absolutely beautiful bowl Tanya. Definitely didn't see any apple blanks at Rocker the other day. Are you turning only on the new lathe? Maybe the Powermatic is only for Steve and random visitors from Pa ? LOL. Have a great week
Thank you 😊 I haven't turned on the powermatic yet. I think it is just for this really nice fellow we know from PA. ☺️ Steve has been turning on it and is turning some beautiful things.
Wonderful turn Tanya. I definitely seen a polar bear😁
Have a blessed day.
Thank you so much!
I didn't see it until I was almost done editing.
Have a blessed weekend!
Take care,
Tanya 🤗
Love turning fruit woods, they never disappoint! Very nice bowl Tanya!
Take care, Dave
Thank you 😊
It is fun wood to turn. Fruit wood smells good turning when green as well.
Went to Woodcraft on Bethel Road this morning. Picked up a new bandsaw and a router lift. Woowoo! The bowl looks great!
Thank you 😊
That is awesome! It's fun getting new toys. Maybe someday we will run into each other there.
FELICITACIONES por este lindo trabajo, esa madera es maravillosa, un cordial saludo.
Thank you 😊
I hope you are well😊
Love the grain and character. Sometimes older bowls make the best bowl. Awesome job. God Bless and have a great weekend.
Thank you 😊
It sure does make the best bowls
You have a blessed weekend as well 😊

I can start including the mounting and tenon removal in some of my videos.

Gorgeous ... and that polar bear is a definite bonus!
Thank you 😊
Very nice that wood must have been lovely to turn can’t believe you have had that for 25 years it certainly would not have made it in my shed xx
Thank you 😊

I just love the fact that the wood gives us figures of animals. Maybe the dough was pie crust for apple pie 🥧 😉
Beautiful work ☺☺
Thank you 😊

I stopped at 5 coats. I think that is enough....lol!
Great job!

You are so right about the green apple wood. 🍏 The ribbons and the smell are addicting.

@@TanyaBecherWoodturning Hi 👋, I try to send you some photos last week, of my work, did you receive them, Phil from the moulin
I did receive them. I have been under the weather from covid. I will look at your email later today. I'm so sorry it has taken me this long.

Such beautiful wood! Pimp keeps telling me he has some Apple over there. I'm going to have to grab a piece and try it
Thank you!
Just make sure you rough it and seal it. Then leave it be for 25 years😁
@TanyaBecherWoodturning 😅 Not sure I can wait that long!
The grain in the wood never ceases to amaze me. That bowl is gorgeous and it was nice to have a polar bear show up. Enjoy the rest of your week and enjoy the weekend.

I almost missed it if it wasn't for the last look before uploading.
Have a good weekend as well 😊
Very nice ✌️

What a gorgeous bowl, Tanya. The color and character are awesome. I love turning apple, too. 😊
Thank you 😊
You were only 4 when the bowl was first turned 25 years ago.
Haha... I wish I was four. If you add 20 more to that 4.
I definitely feel my age ,but don’t think I look it.
@@TanyaBecherWoodturning
You definitely don’t look it.
Super nice bowl
Thank you 😊
