Pressed together by horse cum and chewing tobacco 🤣😭 RDO is a great game, and has a great amount of quality. The sad thing is it is limited due to how RS treated it, it is basically neglect in my opinion, and I am disappointed in how they treated the community over these years. This game doesn't need much to bring back to community and revitalize the servers, and even if the content is less than GTAV's it isn't over saturated and over the top to provide it. It's horrible playing GTA online, and i generally run into the same john doe characters all acting one way or another. I've actually made good friends on RDO's server and less toxic as well. Don't get me wrong its going to have toxic players as it is a RS game, but the quality of life is better, less kids, less shit talkers because you can't fly away in a jet or oppressors mk2 , You're out in the open like them, and even if they have beginner weapons and stats, one bullet is all it takes to change that. Stay humble or be humbled sort of say, and I am pleased to say i own both, and have spent double the time in RDO than I have in gtaO. I love the adventure RDO provides, and no matter how many times i roll through an area, if you're doing it without map, you can get very lost quick. My position is not shown unless we are close to each other, my voice is not heard unless we are close which stops everyone in the lobby from overlapping one another with their words, and gives you more privacy. The game is slower pace, but like you said action 24/7 will make it just seem repetitive, and honestly i felt like GTA even with all its content got stale, and grindy in its own way, I felt like all my hard work can be outshined by the purchase of a whale card , and op weapons and vehicles. People can have a modded vehicle capable of taking like 12 rockets to the face before getting low hp, and in RDO there's none of that nonsense, you have a horse and so do I. Skill, timing and reflexes are usually what made a victor in pvp too, which is why I enjoyed RDOs pvp a whole bunch more, especially with two full posses dueling in the forests, or sniper 1v1s in town. Loved the video, glad to see someone can shine light on the game mode before RS let it fall to ruin.
I always joke that if I ever hit the lottery, I would buy the rights to Red Dead from Rockstar, just so I could make the game better haha. We can dream!
I still have faith they gonna drop prestigious dlc for trader, collector, moonshine & naturalists. When blood money dropped is when I quit at lvl 500 I returned 2 weeks ago & reset my character to lvl 1 miss this game
You could argue that with any game that you become a "vet" at. Eventually, you're going to reach the cealing of the game and there isn't really much the devs can do about that. Even then, if the base gameplay of the MMO is fun, does not having more stuff to win really detract from the game?
A fun fact for people on PlayStation. You can solo server if you don’t want to deal with people online by going to your network settings and switching the MTU to manual and change it from 1500 to 650 then load up the game. When your done (playing the game) remember to change it back, I always switch it back to 1500 and turn it back to automatic just to be safe because if you don’t change it you won’t be able to load into servers in other games until you do. Though most people keep to themselves on the game the solo servers give insane spawns for events like legendary animals or hideouts etc.
@@SalVitroNY I know but i’m only aware of how to on Playstation since I only have the game for that. If I knew how on the other platforms i’d share how on them also.
Or you can just play missions that are in solo lobbies. Telegram missions, legendary bounty etc. If you need a regular lobby without players, just do bloodmoney missions or level 3 bounty missions, and make sure to finish near a fast travel post or camp to keep the lobby. This method workes well for players doing trader role, because you can fast travel to camp after the mission and deliver your wagon long distance without any problems.
I like that there's random encounters and hideouts that can happen, sometimes you can come across people with treasure maps but yes 100%. for an open world game the online doesn't encourage you much to not do missions
To those sayin the collector role, yea thats true. But u have to unlock the collector role, nd besides, ppl wanna explore nd get rewarded without the need for a role to do so. Treasure maps help nd maybe some other stuff, but we need more of an free roam exploration.
@@CrackedJust1n The random encounters are cool, but there are better ones in the story nd they happen more frequently than online's. Atleast for me. I've ride on days(irl nd ig alittle in game) nd gone from one place to another in online without a single rando encounter. Its pretty meh. But it is still cool
I feel that cause I have all Legendary Animal outfits all rolls maxed out and the best horses got to Level 153 and then….nothing😂😂😂😂. It’s lowkey sad and I really was hoping for Robbery missions like Rob the Blackwater Bank or Rob the Casino Boat. Something else too like Oil transport missions that could be similar to the trader but harder and worth more because it can blow up if shot to much and you would have to cross the map for delivery just like the trader.
@@KoolKeithProductions not saying they do owe us, but when you compare a game that they made that’s had things added and been supported for well over a decade and 2 game system generations GTA5 online. Comparing to something that came out way after that (RDR2) that they also made and see it’s been supported but then was abandoned, It’s fair to question why it doesn’t get supported like that either. I am satisfied with the experience I had but unlike GTA online I have no reason to come back because they don’t add anything whereas GTA Online has been adding stuff to online since 2013-2014.
@@mcgaming609 And that's the problem right there. Ppl online cry about RDO because they compare it to GTAO. NOTHING was going to get the same amount of support and for how long that GTAO got. NOTHING. If you would stop complaining about what RDO isn't, you might actually appreciate what RDO IS.
if it weren't for the exploiters and the unfriendliness of the game to new players, red dead online would get more of the attention it deserved. even though im glad rockstar is focusing time on gta 6, rdo being basically abandoned is always sad to me because of the huge potential it had. the thing i love about this game is how you basically get to craft your own story, the freedom you get is what really sticks out to me and keeps me coming back. what i dont appreciate is my horse consistently getting rocket boosters and exploding
@@channel45853 the game is pretty badly explained to newer players, i remember when i started out i had zero clue of what to do. even though the land of opportunities missions are great, the only way to figure out what you're doing past that point is through the internet.
I mean Ive been playing it recently and I'm new and everyone seems like they are out to get me instantly headshotting and killing my horse@@channel45853
@@Aganie. not saying you shouldn't play it. its still an incredible game but you might have to find some information on what to do on the internet since rockstar doesn't really give any guidance to new players.
As a person who only plays open world games, I’ve been in a major video game slump for a few years now. I have rotated replaying Skyrim, starfield, all gtas, saints row, bully, cyberpunk, fallout, and red dead story mode and probably any others you can think of. I’ve replayed them all so much that I’m officially done with all of them and have been for some time now. One game I haven’t gone back and played in years is red dead online. Ive been considering for a few months to redownload it but I just couldn’t bring myself to because I figured i would just immediately turn it off. I was one of the people who got bored and frustrated with rdo, but today I was watching videos of the Amazon and the Everglades, and it reminded me of how fun being in nature and hunting was in red dead. I started feeling more motivated to download the online part since I’ve played the story mode 10 plus times. All over TH-cam are videos of how terrible red dead online is, but I came across this one so I watched it. You have single handedly brought back the spark for me to play this game and appreciate it for what it is. It is downloading right now and I’m very excited. Thanks man keep up the good content cheers
i played rdr2 on ps4 back in 2019 and never really gave the online mode a try, but a few days ago I saw rdr 2 was on sale in the epic launcher so i downloaded it. after spending a few hours in singleplayer admiring the graphics I tried the online mode and now i've been grinding it for almost a week. Honestly I think my issue with the game was that I didnt feel too comfertable with a controller, but now having played it with a mouse and keyboard I love it
Blood Money is when I quit 2 or 3 years ago. But I’m back with the old posse running wagons & just chilling. After 5 years there’s still nothing better. I’m thinking they gonna drop us a prestigious dlc for each role. But if they just could offer limited time limited edition horses, saddles, boots for gold that would add some incentive to keep coming back. Also if they would add Mexico I’d easily drop $30-$50 on that…. Easily!
Bro you must of seen this wayyyyyy differently. Rockstar took away the ability to rob because they’d rather you buy gold bars with real money and how could they get you to do that, if you could just rob everyone . It was like GtA online but amped way up and way too greedy. Rockstar really went way too far with trying to get players to get gold bars. That’s why it failed, it just wasn’t any fun trying to grind a whole day for just one penny.
Bro that’s how they make money. They gave up when all the tightwads complained about everything! When gold was so easy to earn too & still is easy. COD doesn’t do that & their community eats up micro transactions which is why they so successful! What a shame
You can make a good amount of money in RDO in a variety of ways, if you see the game as a grind, I don't think that is a fault with RDO itself. Plus, you can earn goldbars slowly by doing daily challenges. But you can access most of the content without gold bars, so they aren't forcing you to buy gold bars. People just want to buy them, and if more people did buy them, RDO would not have been abandoned. Which is weird to say as the servers are still up, but I guess in terms of new content, it is abandoned.
@@channel45853 Doesnt help Rockstar that nowadays anyone who starts it on PC can just ask modders to spawn chest and get away with it and theres modders to find in every session in Valentine, Armadillo or Saint Denis.
I mean you can make a huge load of money just by playing the game just have fun with it and also more money they make the better their next game will be
I had fun playing RDO the first couple of years when they did the outlaw passes, but it just got worse and worse as they stopped adding content and mod menu users increased, getting blown up all the time or teleported into a glitchy rooms made it not fun anymore. At least with griefers you can fight back, with mod menu users you can't do anything.
I’m not missing out on RDO, I played the game a lot during 2019 - 2021 and stopped after the Blood Money update released, haven’t been on much, if at all since, and all the game gets now is half baked monthly bonuses and a heartbroken community.
Geeks online cry about RDO because they compare it to GTAO. NOTHING was going to get the same amount of support and for how long that GTAO got. If these clowns would stop whining about what RDO isn't, they might actually appreciate what RDO IS.
Excellent Video!! I couldn't agree more! I've played since early beta on playstation, and I love the game. RDR2 story is understandably much more popular. It has more features that satisfies more people. However RDO is a different playing style, It's more challenging, you have to be a bit more creative to be entertained. When that said I think two games in one makes RDR2+RDO a solid investment. The reason I play RDO is because I can multitask all roles and choose what ever playing style or pace I want. I wanna reach level 1000 one day, and because of limited game time, I still have a long way to go and a good reason to keep grinding. I bounty hunt my way across the whole map, while picking up collectables, hunt for camp, find samples, daily challenges and reset awards. For me RDO is a multitask grind simulator lol, but I enjoy it a lot!!
I love red dead online but red dead rp is where its at for me nowadays. its my only ever time getting into rp and I truly believe its one of the best games to rp in due to the realism. only issue is finding a good server but once you do its great.
First video of yours I've ever seen. And you're right about 98 percent of it. My favorite point is yes. A lot of people have the same gripe, which is there isnt much to do. i am one of those people, but you changed my mind. I have found it more enjoyable when you actually try to live in the game rather than play it. If it had a survival option, im sure everyone would have it on. But, no matter what it gets repetitive. We all know the struggle of grinding out missons or looking extra hard for a collectible and not finding it till we open a tutuorial.
RDO could be even more amazing if Rockstar would give it some attention again. Any game developer would die for what rockstar has with RDO. I’m a high level daily player, that still loves the game even though there’s nothing left to do.
I played RDO on & off since launch and the way you explained how you have to find your own pacing is exactly how i play when i decide to play. You gotta get a taste of everything so that you never get bored. And when you do just take a break cause when you come back the game will be the exact same since no Updates 🤣🤣
After playing through story mode three times, twice with 100% completion AND 100% compendium, I needed to find a different way to get my RDR2 fix. Riding around a dead world as John Marston with nothing left to buy or accomplish, wandering through the old camp sites to the echo of ghostly voices, was just depressing. So I decided to give RDO a try. It has been a mixed bag, to be sure. The bugs are exasperating. The modders and hackers are infuriating. The gameplay gets repetitive, but there is enough to do to maintain interest. At least now I interact with the world with purpose. But that's coming to an end, too. I am at level 595. I have bought absolutely everything that can be bought with money, and in addition have $500K accumulated. My one remaining goal is to purchase everything that requires gold. After that, who knows. Maybe the game will continue to draw me back, because I just love being in that world. I have a whole library of games I have never played, because RDO feels so comfortable, like a second home. Recently, I learned how to create a permanent a solo lobby, so the modders and hackers are a thing of the past. Glitches seem to be less of a problem in solo lobby, too. Sorry for the long-winded response. There is just something about this game that struck a deep chord with me like has never happened before in thirty years of gaming. I enjoyed your commentary and humor. Thanks.
I know it doesn't really fix the problem of completing the game and having nothing to do but I highly recommend playing the game in first person with no HUD it's legit a whole different experience
I know exactly what you mean by ‘second home’. I may not play for a few months but it keeps calling me back because I miss the scenery, the towns, my horses and the wildlife. It’s insane what a cord it has struck within me too
@@ihatepink2902 I may actually try that. After reading your post, I took a walk through Valentine in first-person and it was a revelation. I'm very close to starting a new playthrough, with the idea of getting to chapter two and never leaving. My only hesitation is that I won't be able to replay all of the missions like I can now post-epilogue.
I’m a Veteran player, and to this day I still play RDOnline. To be honest, I’m kind of happy the game is where it’s at. The community of players that are still playing share a passion with you and when meet someone randomly in the open world they are always some subtle roleplay before parting ways. Sure, Rockstar hasn’t released any major content for the game in a while, but the content that is available offers enough diversity that you can take it slow and enjoy yourself as an escape from reality. You can make a new character (what I did) and create your own story. Even though I’ve played since the Beta days I’m just now getting around to touching the Blood Money, Telegrams, and yet to touch the Call to Arms missions which I plan on doing this weekend. In my opinion, games with smaller Communities offer a better experience than games that are super popular and have massive communities. Ya! C’mon!
I’m currently playing through RDR1 (Xenia Emulator on PC) again while playing RDO daily. Listening to the conversations in RDR1 make the tie-in to RDR2 story mode more immersive. The burning of the church in Limpany because of Devil Worshippers is mentioned in the RDR1 soundtrack while gambling in Thieves Landing. Just the little details that give story threads from one game to the other are awesome. Some game elements of RDR1 need to be rolled out via DLC into RDO (residences that you can rent or buy to save game and resupply ammo and change outfits, easier horse handling (no tripping over rocks), better dead eye control, higher paying hunter rewards (pelts, fangs/horns, hearts) and bigger storage of those items, better Fast Travel from your wilderness camp to WAYPOINTS you place anywhere on the map (especially for Amborino and other isolated places), open up Mexico and those characters, robberies of all businesses). Adding additional businesses: Stage Coach line, Shipping between ports (contraband options), Lawman roles, Duels would be an awesome bring back from RDR1. So many options.
What is stopping us from just scheduling a day to just flood the servers and show rockstar that this game will never die. Just have everyone goof around on voice chat and create fun everywhere.
@@e-1074yeah it’s not fun because rockstar doesn’t do shit, which is the whole purpose of flooding the servers to get their attention to make it fun and add shit
From an RDO vet on PC, there is a private lobby mod on nexus mods. I don't recommend it all the time but R* will never solve the hacker problem so keep it around if you just want to play with friends.
When I first got the game for like $60 US in 2021 on Stadia, I loved it. After watching the Outside Xbox crew playing, I knew it was going to be one of the first games I was going to grab when we got fiber optics and Stadia. Made a lot of good friends, made my character (mostly) resemble my American Indian great-grandmother, made a hell of a lot of money and gold... and then Google dropped the service on us. Thankfully, they refunded almost all of the money we invested in the platform and games. When Google's former players moved to new systems, Rockstar refused to transfer most of the "Red Dead Online "player characters to the new consoles. My best friend refused to invest in it and level up another character. I've still been unable to get him to grab a copy when it's on sale, or let me purchase a copy for him. Using what I learned playing the game the first time, I invested in Red Dead Online (rather than the full story) for $9.99 when it went on sale, and refused to spend $40 on gold bars to skip ahead in the careers like I had previously. I've purchased a few other copies of "Red Dead Online" that way for some friends and relatives so they can play, too. Sadly, none of them ever actually play it with me. I wish the community was as friendly as the one for "Fallout 76." I also wish that Rockstar would give us some f*cking private, posse and friends only servers like they did for GTA Online. I'm pretty sure that the developers didn't go their separate ways; they were driven off or reassigned to gta online and gta 6. That's why it's taken years for them to finally fix the damned problem with the stables. Still doubt they're going to add any actual bank and train robberies, though. Would be nice if they'd let us wrangle horses and sell them like they promised us in that early mission in "Red Dead Online."
I still love RDO but it’s something I come back to every few months, not something to grind everyday. Once you reach a certain point, money and gold are meaningless. I just wish you could gift things to other players in this game.
I just started and am only Level 10. Got attacked by a posse of 3 players between level 115-260 and I wrecked the posse leader (260 lvl) and another of them. Got killed by the 3rd. Then came back to them and gave them "the finger" basically lol and they added me to their Posse and we ran like 3 missions with me and the leader running point and it was awesome.
Couldn't agree more - this is tons of fun to play, and does not get boring! A couple hours to try the daily challenges and decide what else you want to do - hunt some animals, grab a guide and roam the entire map collecting cards and other treasures, enjoy a blood money 3 part mission, and partake in the constant PVP alerts that come up. I get it, a year from now I'll probably be bored of the lack of updates like many here that are complaining there is nothing new to do after playing for 5 straight years, but 3 months into the game, there is more than enough content to keep me busy and happy to posse up with some friends, or just random strangers for many more months to come.
I got rdr2 last November on sale for Xbox one. It's a great game and lots of fun to play. I like the salvage event and the daily challenges. For the most part other playes are friendly. I think it works for me because of the wild west setting and how realistic everything is especially the horses.
RDO is a lot of fun, but too many people hack and mess up the game with random stuff - transporting you to a different section of the map, trapping you in a cage, or shooting flames, it spoils the game, and they could stop it if they cared to do so. Every single night I play this game the same things make me quit and go back to RDR2.
Stopped playing a couple months ago. Had all the roles maxed out except for naturalist because I thought it was boring. Had all my stables stocked up with max bondage with all my horses. All the guns and I think I was level 130. This was my favorite game to play with friends we would play for hours on end just talking and playing the game and doing the Etta Doyle glitch just to make a few hundred bucks. I might start getting back into it again because I miss it. I miss helping other players fight the toxic ones I miss the 1v4’s I’d always get into and end up winning. Good times
I cannot in good faith recommend this game, because it got abandoned. I played it on console, had a fun time went up to lvl 130-150 could be 170-180 I don’t remember. I stopped playing it for other games. I tried the Pc version and in the beginning it wasn’t so bad, it was really beautiful. Then I got FFF,stuck in infinite loadings, encountered modders and so many bugs. FFF was the worst,I couldn’t use Slow and Steady dead eye card or it was a guaranteed crash, same with other dead eye cards except paint it black. It happened 1/4 of the times with Paint it black. Randomly getting FFF and losing all your horse cargo… I stuck with it for a while, if it wasn’t for a friend I would’ve stopped playing the Pc version after a week. One day I booted the console version and came across a player that was invincible and killing everyone near them…that was fun and I got stuck in the stables. Most of the modders were nice, but they just highlight why I don’t like the online anymore. Your time would be better used on another game than playing read dead online, because at the end of the day it’s not the amount of content that will bore you,but knowing this game will never get any major updates and the amount of bugs/crashes will drive you insane.
I had fun playing RDO, I love the RDR2 world and the freedom and the arcade gameplay of the online, but Rockstar lack of support and long-standing bugs and other issues unmotivated me. It had so much potential...
They've finally pulled their collective heads out of their asses and fixed the horse stable glitch.... and then shoved their heads right back up there once they were done. =)
Red Dead Online is a hidden gem that is awesome to play with friends! I just really hope one day that Rockstar goes back to it and updates it in the future.
Dude love the video! Keep up the great work I just finished the story of rdr2 for the first time a week ago. I want to get into online and you just described it perfectly!
This game will never truly be dead, rockstar could come back to it anytime and everyone would jump straight back in. I don’t think rockstar realise how much people like RDR
Hate the timers on almost every mission and having to wait around to hand in missions for the higher reward you get for taking forever, no other rewards for wasting time every mission is a race against time it's stressful and mind boggling why Rockstar did this.
There are a few things you didn't mention, such as daily challenges being severely nerfed so that they pay out less and streaks reset at 28 days rather than continuing on, or griefer posses that like to take over towns and halt peoples ability to do some of the daily challenges.
Bro I just started playing the story and when I’m finish with the story I’m gonna be online this is my favorite game now I been missing out for too long
For me, RDO is both an abandoned shell with lost potential & a masterpiece at the same time. The games mechanics and beautiful world are the supporting beams. The Online content... not so much. RDR has an amazing premise with the whole "Being an outlaw", having a horse (a 'real' animal instead of a car/mechanical stuff). It feels way realer, because there are no magical flying cars/motorcycles, no orbital canon obliterating you out of nowehere, no huge bunkers or annoying phone calls the entire time. RDO (taking away griefers/modders) feels relaxed. The world is alive around you and even without other players around you there are NPCs, animals, noises, sound. The sound of a countryside or city, depending where you are. Jobs you do are simple for the most part, outlaw work. You hunt, buy groceries, survive, have camps, have a dog (sadly you cannot take it with you, which sucks). Even without friends online I can get immersive really quickly - while GTAO makes me wanna rip my hair out and become a hobo without internet, the people in there are so obnoxious. 'course, RDO has these players too, but way less than GTAO. Some people I met there where the funniest folks ever, even helping you with stuff from time to time. I barely ever get interrupted in my bounty hunts/trader runs/collector stuff, I even had people ride by my side and defend my stuff despite not even knowing them. In GTAO, the best I got was someone doing this weird hip thrust in my direction and then blowing me up. I mean... thanks? Not to glorify RDO over GTAO. They both have their flaws and good sides. But I just prefer RDOs more natural gameplay and world over GTAOs, despite loving GTA5s setting and gameplay.
I completed the game. I maxed out all of the roles (except the stupid animal one) and there was nothing really left to do. The only thing that kept me playing the game was the daily challenge streaks and they ruined it by making it reset every month. It’s still probably my favourite game of all time, and I’m definitely proud of my platinum trophy.
I really enjoyed Red Dead Online and thought it had potential only for Rockstar to waste it all away for an aging decade old game called GTA Online that substantially makes them more money. Greed is just the worst thing that exists in this world to waste a potential.
the worst part about red dead online is the fuck ton of cheaters that are absolutely everywhere on the pc version, not only do they explode you out of nowhere for no reason but they’re also able to pull your ip incredibly easily, ruins the game completely
i just started playing rdr online after having the game for 3 years and its the best game i probably ever played in my life and i have been playing Rockstar games since 2000
Good video first time watcher I think you had everything on point, I am a OG of all grand theft auto games, and I haven’t matured into a rockstar connoisseur. And I agree I perfer RDO over GTA Online more now. Now I have a little crew that we play constantly, and help each other rank up an do missions and hunt etc etc. But one of the arguments I hear online a lot is that a lot of people want to get a husky or that other dog that is only available in the outlaw pass, which I think they should bring that back so that way people can get that stuff. They have done a couple of patches like fixing stuff at the stable and people getting kicked out of sessions, but I feel like they need to bring selling, stolen horses and wagons, I feel like that will boost the game up a little more but I don’t think the game is dead because like you said, in the video, there are a lot of people who played it religiously. But keep up the content I like the video, everyone who took the time to read this hope you have a good one or a good night wherever you’re at in the world and make sure y’all stay safe and stay dangerous out there!!
issue is that it doesnt feel like you're doing anything, huge. You can steal gems but cant keep em, you can do stranger missions but make like 2 buttons and a jar with a fart inside. If RDO really did tap into the underground sound with blood money then we could have a role dedicated to running your own crime operation, and instead of being the one doing the hard parts you can hire npcs to do that for you, for true passive income, we could rob trains or banks but nah thats to hard to code
I’ve played Red Dead 2 for 3 years now, I remember on my first play though I was scared of the Murfee. But now I play online, it’s still fun to the PvP just go fishing
I really hope that RDR2 Online builds up to GTA VI. Like allowing players who want to just chill, simply chill unlike those who want to cause chaos. My favorite part of Red Dead Online is the satisfaction of gaining levels and XP from hunting, collecting herbs and etc. This system makes me want to actually collect more herbs, hunt and even fish just to see that XP go up out of satisfaction, it's pretty sweet. I really like how most of the player base is pretty chill. Like any other online game, there will always be those people who just want to ruin everyone's day (like GTA V Online), but it's pretty rare to encounter those people. Or if you do, just leave and you'll be alright. Red Dead Online is pretty fun. Of course, the lack of full content updates is unfortunate, but that's what happens when Rockstar decides to spend more time in a 10 (almost 11!) year old game
Its problem is the grievers. They have over powered guns with explosive ammo and kill you until you leave the lobby. It was so bad that RS had to change the game so that your horse comes back if you load into a new lobby. Because they always kill your horse too. That’s why I quit playing years ago and just recently came back to goof off. And yes it’s always some skinny dude in all black looking like a dork and probably using aim bot which is why they always get a headshot kill before you can even aim. It’s not the game. It’s the players. There’s just too many POS losers in every game and after a couple months, the fun players leave and mostly losers can be found.
I do feel it is hard to get a variety of play styles when everything is locked behind gold bars that require you to do like 100 bounty missions grinding to get your gold up.
I love it. I've played since day one and am still going strong. There's enough variety of things to do that whatever you're in the mood for that day, the game has something to offer for it.
The campaign for this game absolutely robbed my heart. 😢 Tried online when it first launched and was very disappointed. My brother asked me to play online last month and I'm hooked. A lot of missed opportunities and glitchy as hell but still a rootin tootin good time 🤠
As a new player to RDO i love it, i have a few guns an ok outfit but goddamn do i like playing the game, funny ow im launching into it as i am writing this comment 😂
As a veteran player with over 2000+ hours, I come back to RDO every few months to relax and take in the scenery. No other online game gives you the experience you get with RDO BUTTTTT, I am not sure if i missed it but you failed to mention that Rockstar sent out an open letter,( forgive me what year it was) stating to the community that they were no longer going to support or add ANY new content to the game. The reason they stated, was because they were shifting all thieir resources to GTA VI. This left the community, angry, let down, and heart broken. While there is still a very dedicated community, Many veterans of the game have moved on. I would recommend it for new players, but as far as most veteran players the nail in the coffin for RDO was nailed many years ago.
I agree that the Online is extremely unique and I actually did mention the rockstar community update at the beginning of the video, I was super sad to see they weren't going to support it anymore but regardless I think it's still worth playing
I got on today after I saw your video and had a blast! I want to very clear I am a proud member of this community and I always will be. Even when I take 6 or 7 month break I always comeback. I love online, and the 1000+ hours alone I have spent on just RDO are some of the best gaming or is the best gaming experiences. I have ever had. I believe in my comment I sounded like I didn't enjoy my time. I think I was just talking from the point of view of a veteran day one player, who loves RDO so much. and still hopes Rockstar will eventually make it the online game we all want it to be. And it is definitely worth playing if you have never tried out! @@CrackedJust1n
@@hithere439 Anythings possible. But in my opinion, any support would be well after GTA VI releases, but even then I think all their resources will be spent on GTA VI online. One can only hope tho
RDO is by far my alltime favorite game. Legit posse only sessions are the only thing that I wish Rockstar gave us. I never played story mode and know I am missing out on it but I tried rdo after playing GTAVonline with the idea of gta but with horses … thanks for the great video, now I think I will cowboy up and do some dailies
Red dead online is a gem this game is how I met some of my closest friends and it was the only thing that got us all through the pandemic truly a masterpiece
Rdr2 outside of the story was always an alternative world to get lost in. I find myself doing all the things i used to do woth arthur int he open world but now with my own character and its beautiful
my favourite part of rdo is getting in a wagon with your mates and riding it of the nearest cliff, or getting drunk in the salon and fist fighting each other. tbh rdo is only fun with friends once you've done everything
Cool down times could be implemented better in Rockstar games. Robbed a train? Moderate to big payout. Cool down? Once a week, real time. Reason? Pick up a neswpaper and find out. Something realistic. Take GTA for example. Why not do a week long cooldown on Cayo and retain the original/improved payouts? Say blondie spent the week rerecruiting targ-I mean, guards. Maybe he went shopping for yet another vintage beverage. 😒 The money laundering mission in the Cluckin Bell heist sparks an idea too (possibly implemented in GTA VI). Knock over small businesses, legal or illicit, and pay out a day's worth with a day long cool down. TLDR: Improve cool down times instead of hindering payouts. Be realistic and fair with it. Keeps the game fresh.
The Carcano should not be present either, because the version in the game is the Cavalry Carbine indicated by the folding bayonet, this was given to Cavalry in the Kingdom Of Italy.
Rockstar Games needs to drop some screenshots already. A good time would have been before the most recent earnings call. Now it'll probably be before the next call. Seems they only do announcements when it is as beneficial as possible.
I really want to play RDO but as soon as you enter you almost get killed instantly by griefers/modders and it kinda sucks + for some reason everytime I try to enter the stable I get stuck... QwQ
I think they fixed the stable's glitch this past week. I've had no problems whatsoever with it the past few days; so that's one small victory for the community. Probably going to be another 2 years until we get another one. =)
I love the online mode for RDR. I am always captured by the grounded worldbuilding and the stories being told. The sense of freedom is unmatched by any other open world games and even though I have over 2000 hours into the game, it still feels like a novelty to me and that feeling is enhanced by playing with friends. I was immediately hooked on RDRO whilst GTAO felt so overwhelming and almost bullying to play. With that said, a few levels into online mode and you start to notice the neglect from R*. Hackers are almost everywhere and a majority of your encounters with them does not end well. Hackers breaks the servers by spawning in objects and just creating chaos for all players. There is serious lack of high lvl content (introduce heists, more items to buy for your camp) and the main story of online is not finished. They should also add more interesting things to the New Austin map. RDR Online is awesome but it needs some serious updating and maintaining. If we get that, I am sure RDR Online will surpass GTA: Online.
Blood money is fun. As with just about everything in RDO it's underdeveloped just like the rest of the content. All the foundations are there now just trickle release the content. Well, that is what I used to think. I am way past deluding myself the RS is coming back to RDO.
Honestly everything this feller said in this video, I agree with. I have the same playstyle and i still can't bear those competitive nuisances that won't let me play that way.
Whenever i open uo red dead 2 i always want to olay story mode I forget red dead online Ive beated red dead about 10 times and still i cant get enough of story mode No matyer how much you play it its still more appealing than online
I'm sorry you made a lot of good points, but I can't get over that first sentence lmao
Horse cum is crazy 😂

For us veterans rdo players we see rdo as abandon project but to new players it's a master piece until they finally get bored
It’ll always be a untapped masterpiece to me and I’ve been playing for quite some time now
It has a lot of reply value to it
Yep, Tried jumping into it last year and came to the same conculsion. Kinda the same problem with GTAO today to, just boring.
its been half a decade and rockstar still REFUSES to actually finish the story
Finish what story?

A fun fact for people on PlayStation. You can solo server if you don’t want to deal with people online by going to your network settings and switching the MTU to manual and change it from 1500 to 650 then load up the game. When your done (playing the game) remember to change it back, I always switch it back to 1500 and turn it back to automatic just to be safe because if you don’t change it you won’t be able to load into servers in other games until you do. Though most people keep to themselves on the game the solo servers give insane spawns for events like legendary animals or hideouts etc.
Fun fact…. You can make a solo lobby on every platform
@@SalVitroNY I know but i’m only aware of how to on Playstation since I only have the game for that. If I knew how on the other platforms i’d share how on them also.
@@SalVitroNYfor pc, theres Lobby Manager, i use it
Or you can just play missions that are in solo lobbies.
I just wish exploration was more rewarded in this game instead just finding canned vegetables
I like that there's random encounters and hideouts that can happen, sometimes you can come across people with treasure maps but yes 100%. for an open world game the online doesn't encourage you much to not do missions
what do you mean ? U get alot of things exploring as Collector!
Collector role is exactly that.
But it is still cool
sad rockstar doesn't pay attention to rdo
I feel that cause I have all Legendary Animal outfits all rolls maxed out and the best horses got to Level 153 and then….nothing😂😂😂😂. It’s lowkey sad and I really was hoping for Robbery missions like Rob the Blackwater Bank or Rob the Casino Boat. Something else too like Oil transport missions that could be similar to the trader but harder and worth more because it can blow up if shot to much and you would have to cross the map for delivery just like the trader.
Rockstar doesn't owe you a damn thing. You ppl are so damn entitled. It's sickening.

My complaint with RDO is less to do with RDO itself, and more to do with Rockstar not putting some of RDO's clothing in single player.
I have NO idea what they're missing not adding ponchos to the singleplayer
i always looked at it like the cloths you can pick from in single reflect arthur and his style like you can only choose items he would pick himself

if it weren't for the exploiters and the unfriendliness of the game to new players, red dead online would get more of the attention it deserved. even though im glad rockstar is focusing time on gta 6, rdo being basically abandoned is always sad to me because of the huge potential it had. the thing i love about this game is how you basically get to craft your own story, the freedom you get is what really sticks out to me and keeps me coming back. what i dont appreciate is my horse consistently getting rocket boosters and exploding
What unfriendliness?

Honestly I think my issue with the game was that I didnt feel too comfertable with a controller, but now having played it with a mouse and keyboard I love it
The only way to play is PC :)
Same. I feel bad cause my sister bought it for me on PS4 but I never play it because I'm just too ass on a controller so I'm only on PC 😅
Easily!
Prestigious moonshiner with more missions would be lovely

I had fun playing RDO the first couple of years when they did the outlaw passes, but it just got worse and worse as they stopped adding content and mod menu users increased, getting blown up all the time or teleported into a glitchy rooms made it not fun anymore. At least with griefers you can fight back, with mod menu users you can't do anything.
soooo glitchy and full of bugs that never get fixed.
I’m not missing out on RDO, I played the game a lot during 2019 - 2021 and stopped after the Blood Money update released, haven’t been on much, if at all since, and all the game gets now is half baked monthly bonuses and a heartbroken community.
yup!!
Someone finally said it 🙏 i completely agree
I think that is the problem, a great many people don't really seem to get that single player and multiplayer games operate in different ways.
I have no idea why they abandoned it, even at it's current state it has a LOT of players, it's a great game but yes wasted potential
I really enjoyed the Hunting in this game having that be an actual role in online was nice for me
I played RDO on & off since launch and the way you explained how you have to find your own pacing is exactly how i play when i decide to play.
Ya! C’mon!
I love rdo its my favorite multiplayer to this point, i finally got my friend to play it
how can anyone be this optimistic about this game which is left by it's developers.
Any Valve game
Just have everyone goof around on voice chat and create fun everywhere.
whats stopping us is that its not fun
Rockstar doesn't do much of nothing but take your money.
i’ve been playing rdo for a little and i actually really like it.. i surprisingly have found more nice players than mean ones
me too, was playing with a friend today and one of the first things he noticed was how much nicer everybody is compared to GTA
Ight bro u made me redownload it
lol I hope you enjoy your time!
The horses in "Red Dead Online" are absolutely the best of any video game. It's a shame that Rockstar hates the game and its players so much. =(
RDO is a lot of fun, but too many people hack and mess up the game with random stuff - transporting you to a different section of the map, trapping you in a cage, or shooting flames, it spoils the game, and they could stop it if they cared to do so.
Randomly getting FFF and losing all your horse cargo…
I stuck with it for a while, if it wasn’t for a friend I would’ve stopped playing the Pc version after a week.
I would never recommend this game. The bugs that NEVER get fixed are so frustrating!!!
If you’re new go for it but I’ve been playing since the beginning and there is just nothing there anymore
Me and my brother started playing RDO a few weeks ago. We love it.
I think if there would be more players again they would also make new content because RDO has so much potential.
There are a few things you didn't mention, such as daily challenges being severely nerfed so that they pay out less and streaks reset at 28 days rather than continuing on, or griefer posses that like to take over towns and halt peoples ability to do some of the daily challenges.
you get NOTHING for grinding for hours. They dont give you much so you will purchase in game gold.
Bro I just started playing the story and when I’m finish with the story I’m gonna be online this is my favorite game now I been missing out for too long
Bro, have you walked downtown at night lately, in NORTHERN ONTARIO? Shits legit scary AF!
After a long day of bounty hunting, my favorite thing is going to a saloon and playing poker.
the worst part about red dead online is the fuck ton of cheaters that are absolutely everywhere on the pc version, not only do they explode you out of nowhere for no reason but they’re also able to pull your ip incredibly easily, ruins the game completely
Rockstar didn't add a proper anti cheat
it sure does! that and the bugs that never get fixed
RDO is therapeutic for me. I like peacefully collecting sets for madam nazar and hunting for Cripps as I go.
Moonshining, Hunting, and Horse Racing. Thats my trifecta.
i just started playing rdr online after having the game for 3 years and its the best game i probably ever played in my life and i have been playing Rockstar games since 2000
It’s a good game but there should be some sort of heists
I used to hate it because during missions I would get killed by a hacker, so thank goodness to RDO lobby manager
They have done a couple of patches like fixing stuff at the stable and people getting kicked out of sessions, but I feel like they need to bring selling, stolen horses and wagons,
I feel like that will boost the game up a little more but I don’t think the game is dead because like you said, in the video, there are a lot of people who played it religiously.
I just discovered this game less than two weeks ago. I'm saddened that there will be no more major updates 😭
People don’t like blood money missions but I love them. I actually like the concept if played stealthy and like an actually assassin
People say rdo is worse than it actually is, but it could be much better
I love the collector role. Sometimes I just want to relax and explore the Red Dead world. But I wish it had Easter Eggs like RDR2.
Is it not possible that they will come back to support it again?
@@hithere439 Anythings possible. But in my opinion, any support would be well after GTA VI releases, but even then I think all their resources will be spent on GTA VI online. One can only hope tho
RDO is by far my alltime favorite game. Legit posse only sessions are the only thing that I wish Rockstar gave us. I never played story mode and know I am missing out on it but I tried rdo after playing GTAVonline with the idea of gta but with horses … thanks for the great video, now I think I will cowboy up and do some dailies
the nostalgia of that ending, "you eat babies" is a classic
Red dead online is a gem this game is how I met some of my closest friends and it was the only thing that got us all through the pandemic truly a masterpiece
Rdr2 outside of the story was always an alternative world to get lost in. I find myself doing all the things i used to do woth arthur int he open world but now with my own character and its beautiful
Thanks for the video. I will give rdo another try
Call to Arms is the most challenging and fun! A friend taught me RDO a year ago and I play every day. Hooked!
Bought it 4 days ago, have 20 hours in the game already. Having so much fun on it and cannot believe it took me this long to buy it
Are the players mean? cause I don't want to buy it just to have my gaming experience ruined by raging, immature gamers.
@@cosmic9661 u got ur few griefers that want to tie u up for no reason here and there, but for the most part everyone is pretty chill
my favourite part of rdo is getting in a wagon with your mates and riding it of the nearest cliff, or getting drunk in the salon and fist fighting each other. tbh rdo is only fun with friends once you've done everything
I have been playing rdo for years and haven’t got bored once. I take breaks but i always go back to it. GTA6 online TAKE NOTES
I’m getting this game in 5 days so thanks for telling me what do to
have fun with it! It's a blast
bro that southern ontario quote was very specific, and being from around toronto it made me chuckle
You really put into perceptive why I play RDO still to this day.
I really want to play RDO but as soon as you enter you almost get killed instantly by griefers/modders and it kinda sucks
+ for some reason everytime I try to enter the stable I get stuck... QwQ
I think they fixed the stable's glitch this past week. I've had no problems whatsoever with it the past few days; so that's one small victory for the community. Probably going to be another 2 years until we get another one. =)
I never played online, but I have never ever imagined freakin' RDR2 online being mid
Let’s hope for a Next Gen Red Dead version
I miss rdr2 i was playing rdo last night and its such a shame they abandoned it so fast
Blood money is fun. As with just about everything in RDO it's underdeveloped just like the rest of the content. All the foundations are there now just trickle release the content. Well, that is what I used to think. I am way past deluding myself the RS is coming back to RDO.
Its sad that the devs abandoned it and it doesnt get impactful updates, but the base game is still awesome.
The amount of times I punch my horse to try and hop on it is too damn high
Honestly everything this feller said in this video, I agree with. I have the same playstyle and i still can't bear those competitive nuisances that won't let me play that way.
Whenever i open uo red dead 2 i always want to olay story mode
I forget red dead online
Ive beated red dead about 10 times and still i cant get enough of story mode
No matyer how much you play it its still more appealing than online
I just started playing. Am currently grinding for the trader roll, so i can buy huntwagon and go an a big fishing trip
