I just want to see a mod that brings the UI, Graphics and map of RDR2 into 1. That being said obviously you can’t have the map of Rdr 2 in one with how the map was created back in 2010 and ported over. But, north of blackwater you still can explore and the ground has collision to build strawberry, Riggs station, Lone Mule stead, etc.

The good thing about the RDR reimagined mod is every single effect is optional so you can deselect the shader and whatever you don't like, select some minor improvements and you'll still get a good frame rate and close to original look. The Reality Redemption mod is the best.

I already hate this video. Mafia 1 got a remake that was buggy and horrible, Persona 3 didn't even need a remake. Red Dead Redemption doesn't need one either. Lets not forget that Rockstar are currently making the most anticipated game of ALL TIME right now so diverting attention away from it wouldn't be smart. Releasing RDR as it was with full resolution, widescreen, DLSS, FSR etc, wasn't enough? These type of videos make me realise how ungrateful a lot of people are. Should the game cost 50? Definitely not, but saying Rockstar should have remade or remastered RDR is so stupid considering GTA 6 is meant to be releasing next year.

I never played RDR1 because I was waiting something like this.

Personally I'm someone who like to play vanilla versions of games (unless a mod is absolutely necessary to make the run)... But the Reality Redemption mod sure seems very tempting. I'm willing to give it a shot as long as it's something that merely improves upon the original. Rather than changing it to something that it isn't.

if they were to remaster rdr1, i think id want it to stay exactly the same except id like a little arthur nod. we know from rdr2 that john likely stores arthurs hat in that wooden box next to john and abigails room. i think being able to open it in a remaster and have the option to wear john or arthurs hat would be an appreciated change by me.

I think the original narrative for visuals look good already and do not need a remaster, just like GTA IV it does not need a remaster and when they actually did make a remaster, the trilogy edition got massive criticism because the art direction was lost. + Amazing job on compiling the mods the game looks better then it already was!

Just go into the Display tab in settings and turn saturation, contrast and brightness up to the max. Or tune it according to your preferences. For my anti glare screen and my 4k tv, putting them on max works the best, the overtly bright environment also adds to the brutal desert landscape. Looks good.

Sorry but this just looks worse than the original (the original still looks good, it looks pretty fantastic with the higher resolution and draw distance on PC), all i saw here was harsher shadows, lighting which just seems worse than the original game, the blur happening behind characters in cutscenes is ugly and for that alone i would never use this mod. It is funny that Rockstar worked, sweated for 8 years to make Red Dead Redemption 2 look the way it did, literally surpassing anyones expectations of how good their next game would look. But of course, now that Red Dead 2 is here, available to all of us to play and enjoy, we will instead whine and complain about how we need that for the first game. You lot should be grateful to Double Eleven that the game is on PC in the first place, no modders ever managed to port it, Double Eleven did it and it is the most stable and best running version of that game that is available, no bugs, just smooth as butter, high resolution awesomeness.

RDR1 with RDR2 graphics would take away its charm.

One thing I never understood is why didn't rockstar do an RDR1 DLC using the existing rage engine that powers RDR2 I mean , at least on paper for a company as big as rockstar it's definitely easy and an achievable stunt to pull , yet it seems that maybe they wanted to keep the original feel the game has or something idk

10:40 Rockstar is a lot more liberal than people assume. I don't think they would satirise furries in a fashion like they did the klan in RDR2. Plus the rockstar staff probably has quite a few furries in it, seeing as how they run the tech sector. And also, who do you think animated the horse nuts in RDR2?
