    I was taking online classes from 9 - 5 so I was having to sit for long periods at a time. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxEhgucmXpcAGYh8fatGFEnOK2V97VIwhG After the first day in a regular table chair, I thought about an exercise ball and ordered one that night. It came the next day! My hips, legs, back and butt couldn't have been happier! I'm almost 5'11" and I ordered the largest size and it was perfect for me. I also have RLS (restless legs) and this helped so much.Pumping it up was a little challenging and definitely gives you a good arm workout, (I'm a 62 yo woman) but it's very doable. Getting the tape centered with the hole to inflate it and then getting the pin back in was also a little tricky. But I love my new "chair" and I love the torquiose color. Hopefully it will also get used for exercise. 😁

    So a beginner can do 12 push-ups? Who is this beginner, because obviously she's not a 58 year-old woman out of shape. I can't even do one.

    • @Criticalbench
      @Criticalbench  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Jazzie, start by doing what you are able to do and either with each set or each time you do this workout try to add another one to your reps. Set a goal for yourself that feels more achievable for you and is motivating, for example you goal could be that you want to be able to do 7 push-ups by the end of 3 weeks time 🙂. Hope this helps

    Great, except for the ads that pop up right in the middle of the workout so I have to get up off the floor to skip it. I get the reason for them, but have them at the beginning or the end. NOT interrupting the workout. I will not support any company that pops interrupts the workout.

    How do you keep the ball from sliding in the floor (hardwood)

    • @Criticalbench
      @Criticalbench  4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      My suggestion would be to put a yoga mat, if you have one on the floor and put the bosu ball on that to keep it from sliding around. The rubber part of the ball tends to be rather "sticky" so I don't know that it would be doing much sliding around.

    I need to modify the exercises particularly the last one what is a good modification.

    • @Criticalbench
      @Criticalbench  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can place both feet on the ball and do the hip raise from that position Or ... you can remove the bosu ball completely and do these off the floor.

    Mag ik ook met 1 set beginnen en uitbreiden naar 3?

    • @Criticalbench

      I would do the three rounds consecutive for awhile and then switch it up to keep the muscles confused 💪

    Good thing she mentioned tension on shoulders doing push ups with a Bosu ball. The main reason I wanted to try one because I thought it would put less tension on wrists and shoulders. Sounds like using this for push ups or planks is going to screw my shoulder up more. Just like it did doing a plank on the floor

    Coach, is this for seniors too?

    • @Criticalbench
      @Criticalbench  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, they can as long as they still have the strength to do some exercises. Otherwise, they might hurt themselves if they try something difficult. :)

    • @TimothyTakemoto

      I think that Bosu boards and other wobbly board are especially good for seniors (as I am now becoming) because 1) I think that my larger muscles are still quite large due to the cycling that I do, so I think that is my smaller muscles that deteriorate first 2) My knees and hips are starting to get painful from time to time and my Bosu board type wobbly boards and Rumanian squats thereon are helping 3) I am getting a bit wobbly so doing wobbly exercise may be just what I need to stop the wobbles.

    What are the benefits of bosu ball workouts?

    • @Criticalbench
      @Criticalbench  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well they are a fun way to add variety to your workouts however, they also activate a lot of your core muscles that otherwise wouldn't be activated doing these exercises without it.

    Hi that looks great, I havent got a bosu ball yet but am planning to get one, ive noticed they come in different sizes so how do I know what size to get, Im 158cm tall, thank you.

    • @Criticalbench
      @Criticalbench  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well it really depends on what you are comfortable working with, regardless of your height. However, if you are able to go to a gym or fitness store where they have some on display that you can test out, this can help you to choose the "right fit."
