He worked really hard to get the chateau and they both work really hard to renovate it. But, yes. I actually envy their physical health. If someone gave me a chateau, there's no way I could do it up.

This mountain hike literally caused me a panick attack and I'm at home! 😅 Anna you did so well. You are far braver than me. I would have stayed with Ziggy safe in the valley, drafting divorce papers haha

growing up with a shared family holiday home is really a magical experience. We had a beach house on a island with no cars. We paddled down creeks and found a plane wreck and hiked to find Aboriginal rock carvings. My Grandmother made us amazing food and I always got to bring a friend, it was great. So glad you guys can do this for your family.
The cabin is in such an enchantingly beautiful place, that I can see why it's so loved by Philipe. And his mother, Hildegard, seems like such a lovely caring woman.

Cabin absolutely yes. As a a boat owner for 35 years and finally out of it. I recommend while your children are young and you are working so hard on the chateau, just keep renting sailboats. They are a great deal of work to maintain. And if you do buy a sailboat don't forget to factor I'm the cost of replacement sails every few years.

Philipp's music choices often crack me up. That scratchy vinyl of an opera singer? high in the mountains. Sometimes a very lachrymose violin as Ziggy is running around frantically. I think he does that to tease us.

Ziggy, the world's happiest doggy. He has two "pawrents" who love and spoil him, two sisters to play with and a grandmother who doggy sits him. What a wonderful place to spend your childhood summers Philip and now you can share it with your beautiful family. You and Anna did fantastic on that hike- how were you two feeling the next day, like a pretzel? 😉

I presume that you edited this, having a safe return;and that your relatives didn’t piece this together after your bodies were recovered from a 5k foot deep crevasse.

I had to speed up past those bits. It was just too much exposure, even from my desk! That aside, what a glorious day hike and an enchanted wilderness cabin! Extraordinary!
Very nice, except for that hike up the mountain. This type of risk is best done when you no longer have children depending on you. No one is impervious to a simple trip and fall on a rocky path which could end your life.

The worst part is that he didn't tell her about the challenges and repeatedly lied about "this being the last hard part" (unless , of course, this was only for the content and the dramatic effect on video and Anna was actually told the truth beforehand). Treating a spouse like a child is not a good look, IMO. Didn't enjoy that patronizing tone from Philip either.
Lovely to see Philip and his mum in their favourite place. It’s easy to see the whole family slip into this elemental bliss.

First, this was scary Philipe, please don’t kill Anna!! Second, Anna I’m living vicariously through you!! I lost my ability to walk for more than a couple hours at a time otherwise I would’ve jumped at the chance to go on a hike with the man I loved in such a stunningly beautiful place as that. Lastly, the scenery is breathtaking!!!! I’ve never seen better. I enjoyed every second of this video. Another extremely successful vlog highlighting your summer holiday…..hope the chateau doesn’t seem too small after this trip!

Phillip, this is the Most Unromantic thing possible. Saying”your fine” doesn’t help… I would have called you a jerk most the way up!
Just came back from the Dolomites. Most spectacular and majestic place on earth. God outdid himself there. I don’t need to go anywhere else in Italy. I would recommend to put the Dolomites on everyone’s bucket list. 5 stars.
PS: you should have been properly geared and prepared for that hike. And honest with Anna. Sheesh.

My god Anna, I'd have been swearing at Philipp like craaaaazy doing that hike!!!! Some of the narrow paths and vertiginous drops alongside them were INSANE. You're such a trouper! You did amazingly well. I would say Philipp owes you BIG TIME!!!!! Don't let him forget! 😂😂😂

I don’t think it is an good idea to walk a Klettersteig without protection gear. At least one part of the trail was really dangerous. And her shoes did not protect the ankles. One step on the wrong stone and you can hop down the mountain on one foot or get an Heli-lift back. Anything else, wonderful scenery and hut.
Oh gosh! That is crazy steep. That is rock climbing not leisurely hiking. Well done Anna.

The cabin is amazing! After being on pins and needles watching the climb up, I was hoping to see parts of the climb down! Very stunning scenery, even if I was yelling "F-no" in certain parts.
What a hike. No way could I climb in the Alps. My husband took me skiing in the Rocky mountains and we went above tree line. It was white everywhere. No horizon, no trails. He said just follow me down the face of this cliff 😮. It took 6 months before I spoke to him again. 😅
Wow! What an amazing area. Its cool your grandfather made something that has brought joy to his family long after his passing. The hike was epic. I don't think I would do it but kudos to you Anna for letting Phillip talk you into it.

He's a narcissist with a huge ego. Likes to manipulate her into doing things she shouldn't do (like this hike and painting the boot room twice for ex) and most videos are centered on him , even when she does the heavy lifting. He also thinks he's super witty and funny by teasing and mocking her. He's got a huge chip on his shoulder. After this video and his super irresponsible boat rental with no skipper, little experience and two little kids, I stopped enjoying the vlog.
You two provide the best videos!!! The views are breathtaking….and I had to close my eyes too …. Never ever would I have climbed those peaks! You two rock ! Lol lol lol
5th of september 21 years ago I have lost my fiance on the dolomites ( the part that is called the 5 fingers) , a trained climber on his last path down after a week of climbinh, weather has changed dramaticly and he was not lucky. Keep safe in your adventures, you have a beautiful family to keep for life
Every shot of this episode is purely beautiful! I can hear "The Sound of Music," Then, we realize now why this is so special for Philipp and Hildegard. What a cozy, literally heart-filled, place built in a magnificent Italian landscape. I have so many questions! Besides Philipp, you and his mother, the girls and Ziggy appear to be extremely happy here in this magical, natural environment! You will have to make this one of your continuous, future episodes: "Another Visit to our Cozy Chalet in the Alps!" (Of course, only IMO!) ❤🙏🏼

Now that you have survived the hike, I can tell you that a Yorkshire woman fell 100 feet to her death last year in the Dolomites.
The cabin is absolutely lovely, a wonderful retreat! Wonderful how the girls react to it. And you're enormously courageous!!! My Lord, the climb up and going down such steep and narrow paths. NOT ON MY LIFE!!! Bravo!!!

In my 20s I think I walked that route in the Dolomites. I remember being quite proud and tired climbing those big mountains as a Dutch person ( we don’t even have hills ) when I was casually overtaken by local people in their 80’s
