Most Revered sir, being the greatest grammarian of all time on this planet in my estimation, you are earnestly entreated with folded hands to let me know which of the following sentences is grammatically correct -(A) He has visited the place three times in the past (B) He visited the place three times in the past.
Both are correct, but give a different emphasis; (A) tells us this happened at any time up until now, (B) means in the past with no possible connection to now
@@EnglishwithRupert I find it extremely difficult to search for the right kind of words to express my deepest feelings of gratitude to you for your accommodating gesture towards me; the way you have explained the issue is a testament to the fact that you are the reigning boss of English grammar all the world over 'and that is why I do watch your videos religiously every day and share them with other English -loving guys.Sir, you are once again earnestly entreated with folded hands to solve the following grammatical issue (academic) of class 9th standard on Interchange of Parts of Speech -Question -He was the most important man (Use the noun form of 'important').My probable answers are -(A) He was the man of most importance (B ) He was the man of the most importance (C)He was the man of the utmost importance (C)He was the man of utmost importance (D)He was the man with the utmost importance (E) He had more importance than any other man (F)No other man had as importance as he (had)(F) No other man had as much importance as he (had)(He) He was the man of more importance than any other man.Sir, do please let me know which of the above sentences are grammatically correct and which not.
Respected sir, being unarguably the only teacher with unparalleled and unmatched intellectual agility to provide solution to any grammatical issues, you are earnestly entreated to help me out by solving the following issue that different teachers have answered differently -Question -She -------(will study/will be studying/will have studied) in the university by the next year.
I am so sorry - I thought I had replied but found today that the reply did not get through! The second and third options are possible, but the first option is not.
Dear Rupert, a perfect (!😁) explanation. Great for me as I 'm going to teach the PP today. BUT: one point is a bit... 🤔 too difficult, leť s say? And this is: the PP is always ( at least in the Slavic speaking languages) taught far BEFORE the students know about the existence of the future perfect...🤷. So they cannot compare these two tenses... Your entitely PERFECT ( 😅) explanation can be used in about a year , after the students learn also the FP. Otherwise 🔝🔝🔝 and hats off for your fantastic English ❤💐👍. Lovely summer days from the Czech Republic 🇨🇿🙋😊.
Yes, I agree with this. The Present Perfect is so important in English that it has to come earlier than the Future Perfect. In reality, the Future Perfect is rarely used, because there aren't that many reasons to use it. Lovely to hear from you 🙂
@@EnglishwithRupert Good morning, Rupert, I appreciate that you always reply, thanks! 💓 You are right that I am right 😁😁😁... Is it so hot in UK, too, these days? 🥵 And congrat. To your new PM 😉🍻🕊️🕊️🕊️ A.
