Hello Lucy :) Thanks a lot for the lesson. The English grammar may be confusing sometimes. So, it needs to revise from time to time. If I had to watch only one English grammar video for the rest of my life, I'd choose this one. Wishing you an amazing weekend. Greetings from Türkiye ( Turkey)

I am so delighted to watch your videos and I have acquired immense knowledge through them and I still struggle to brush up my spoken English. So, is there an opportunity that you can give me, I appreciate it a lot. Thank from Sri Lanka.
In Spanish, depending on the region, there is more or less use of verb tenses. The Spanish of Argentina doesn't use the Present Perfect at all, the Spanish of Spain almost doesn't use the Simple Past and the Mexican or Latin American Spanish would be the one that makes a more balanced use. I wonder if in English there is also, like in Spanish, more or less use of certain verbal types depending on the region or country. Excellent video and very useful!
Argentinean here, the omission of present perfect happens mostly in the center region, where Buenos Aires is and maybe some parts of Patagonia. In the north they use it a lot
Hello Lucy I watched your lesson first time, I really enjoyed it. I have problem in Perfect Tenses. If I joined then how long I will be able to understanding fully. I would like to clear some doubts. Your lesson will be free or not. You teach only Grammar or something else. Teachings materials you provide it's free or I should have paid for it. One problem is that I have not Computer.I will learning on my mobile phone. If you allow me then I will joining ASAP. Please answer my enquiry,I will be grateful to you. Your Teaching method is remarkable. Waiting for your response. With regards Manjit
I'm glad you included the word Japan in a sentence "She could have been living in Japan if she had taken a language course" in The Conditional Perfect Continuous. By the way, I find it very intriguing and enlightening to watch and listen to your videos. I will introduce your TH-cam channel to Japanese friends of mine who have been studying English very hard.
Thank you very much for this video Lucy, I really appreciate it. I love all your lessons and have motivation to learn English with you. It's really worth it. I am interested in learning Modal verbs too. I wish you saw my comments. 🤗🥰
Regarding Past Continuous, I graduated in English here in Croatia and I didn't pass an exam only because I used Past Continuous where my professor thought I should use Past Simple instead. But those were examples similar to those you gave of the Past Continuous Tense. And one had to have 70 percent of the exam correct in order to pass. I had 69 percent.
Lucy, I really want to tell you that you helped me a lot with mastering the tenses. In fact, I was looking for a specific job and I was amazing in all the qualifications required except the tenses in English, so I really want to thank you for your effective help .. a fan from egypt .
I really love the way you pronounce each word in your videos.. I really love British English as well.. When I learn the English I feel like becoming wholesome and...and... it does.. Thank you Ma'am for your hard work.. It's so useful and important specially for non - natives like us... 🤗❤
Thank you, Lucy! I've been waiting for this tense lesson. Every time I forget what I remember tenses and I need to re-learn again. (I have an ADHD issues)

Thank you so much our best teacher Lucy for your great effort. you're doing such an amazing job. I always enjoy your fabulous lessons. Keep going ahead. And at the end yes please we need a lesson on modal verbs.
Lucy, could you do once a video about parts of a motorway, how would you call each lane, hard shoulder (I was researching a bit hehe), but there is not too much of how would it be called in British English, mostly in American. Also it would be interesting parts of the road in general, being in city or something like this. Be well, be safe and have a pretty day :))
Thanks for this lol. Even though I speak English natively, this helped me to actually understand grammatical tenses in general! Hopefully I can apply this to learning Italian and French :-)
This is what I need know. I can speak English, but sometimes I make some grammar mistakes. For example sometimes I don't know when I should use Simple Past and when Present Perfect. For example: I have just done my math homework I have lived here since 1994 Yesterday I ate kebab Two days ago I went to the computer shop to buy something.

This is a common problem for some students. In general, in English, we use the simple past more frequently than the past continuous.
