I was really excited to have a date with Ei, and I was a bit bummed that I didn't get to know anything about her twin. Let's hope that the next story quest for Ei would touch on your points man! Side tangent, u gonna roll for Raiden?
Thank you!!!! That perfectly put into words how I was feeling about this archon quest. I was so pissed when Ei said she knew about what was going on her whole thing with visions is them being taken won't kill people but it is we are told that 99 visions have been taken meaning 96 other people have either died or are in a similar depressive state like the 3 we actually saw. In the first half I was impressed with the writing because the writers showed us through Kazuha and the 3 Ayaka quests exactly why the resistance needed to exist and why the vision hunt decree was horrible. Then they introduced that the vision hunt decree was being used by the Fatui to proiteer of the civil and that the Kujou clan was backing and lieing to the shogan. I was predicting that once we told Ei what was happening her mental state would start cracking (maybe have the shrines break and the moon in the background spilt into) then she attacks us out of anger to silence the uncomfortable truth that her actions have caused so much pain then to redeem her she would relinquish her right to rule leaving it up to Ayaka, Ayato and Kujo Sara to rule Inazuma and on reflection I feel that would have been a much better resolution to the story as the victims of the vision hunt decree get some closure as the people in charge are not subjectable to grief induced breakdowns that cause the person to give a percent of their population depression or death as 3 clans would be running the nation not one person. But no instead Ei who abused her power stays in power and the resistance, Kazha or even the traveller says nothing. (Sarcastic joke incoming) I mean we should of expected this really a company that makes it's money by using gambling mechanics that prey on people with mental health issues, neurodivergency, adduction issues is gonna struggle with the idea that a callous dictator that hunted people who were different not by choice who *wished* for the right to live needed to be stopped. A company that works on making victims of it's customers will struggle immensely to make a story about abuse end with the person responsible either in jail, dead or removed from power. There are exceptions probably (so don't spam me with x company did a game when the main villain was killed and also had microtransactions, I don't play many games with microtransactions because I have autism and refuse to lose loads of money if I fall prey to methods made to target people like me) but Mihoyo's writers have screwed up a bit on this. I hope they recover in Sumaru I really hope they do.
@@renboardley-evans9866 do you think that they can somehow turn things around in her second story quest? I really do hope that that's the case, because I really like Ei and her personality, this archon quest didn't really give her justice.
@@jampinjax9194 I think it would be very difficult to turn things around now because they had the chance in her first story quest (not the archon quest Ei story quest). I think the main problem is the writers don't seem to be interested in making her face consequences for those actions because every opportunity for consequences to come up losing her authority, meeting people who have been affected, meeting people who's loved ones have died due to the storm that she still has not called off or because of the vision hunt decree the writes just ignore it in favour lol Ei doesn't know what light novels are or what a camera is. The writes could have written a nation where the rebellion could of replaced her with the tri-commison just have the clan leaders discussing the best course of action but I don't think they were all that interested personally. The rebellion feels kinda pointless and unsatisfactory to me as a viewer because stuff still needs changing like the (can't spell the decree but it's the one that made inazuma a closed nation) and the storm that's making trade and travel extremely difficult. The writes aren't interested or that's how they come across to me
I can't feel sorry for the Raiden Shogun, or even sympathize with her at all. Her reasoning does not justify her actions in the slightest. Even skipping her banner.
Wait wait wait, so it's not only the original Dendro who was slained in the battle of Khaenriah but is also the first Electro Archon? Oh wow, what happened 500 years ago must have been some deep shit.
@@thefoolsfavorite i think she died in the Khaen'rian battle. Ei's memories are the time they ruled together. She also fight some battles, but the main celestia's stuff is Makoto to do
That’s probably why Venti and Zhongli don’t like talking about it. If you’ve done the We Will Be Reunited quest, there is more lore to Khaenri’ah, and yeah it is rlly deep.
Wait so the theory that Scaramouche is part of the electro archon is correct?! Whoa, I'm so confused... Mihoyo did an amazing job in writing the story; there's so many twists!
I just noticed that khanriah is shown in baals past and the heavenly principle is Celestia man this is so much lore so she's scared of Celestia or heavenly principle? And also Celestia did order the gods or control them to destroy khanriah
My guess is that every Archons are protectors of their region, like Morax with Liyue. So if every Archons rules over their country then the God of Celestia (The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles) is the God of WHOLE Teyvat and see the Archons like chest pieces
Every archon is like this. Celestia is very corrupt according to Venti; so he doesn’t like talking about it. Almost every god in Teyvat hates Celestia. In Ei’s case, this is probably because Baal died during the destruction of Khaenri’ah, who was her closest friend.
So to sum it up , Fatui is the one behind it all leading by Signora , before getting the Gnosis - Scaramouche already laid his hands on it , later on we found out about Ei and Makoto - The Twin Gods. As Yae saying that the next destination is Sumeru. We also found out that Sumeru's archon is a woman. (Note: I read this wrong they said the archon is male but *WHERE AYATO*) The leaks/theory that is debunked is: -Kazuha dying in the hands of Ei -Mona and Lisa's deathflags -Signora's escape in Inazuma And lastly , *WE NEED TO SEE AYATO*
Dendro archon is a man and the youngest archon out of the current archon. Kusanali could probably his pet/servant/related to him or the first dendro archon or just like an adeptus

Maybe. But Childe is also quite incompetent (look at Liyue) when it comes to good plans. He is described to be the most ‘out there’ of all the Harbingers. I’m pretty sure we’ll get to see him interact with Scaramouche though.
Thanks for uploading. My game’s cutscenes decided to stutter and die on me midgame after finally finishing an equally glitching Signora fight. The whole scene after the fight got dark real fast. I love it. Bummer that Signora died. Didn’t like her at first but learning her backstory as the crimson witch made me change me mind. Wonder if mihoyo will make dead characters playable.
But the important question is did Sara die? She doesn’t show up in the ending. Looks like she surivied, if you have her she has lines about the future now that the Vision Hunt Decree is ended.
She probably just passed out or fainted. She’s not entirely dead as far as we know, since her vision is still activated. If she really was dead, her vision would be gone.
Im expecting more from the next archon quests. They better be good than this one. I hope the archon quests will surpass the one before as we get closer to the end.
@@kazukiiscosplays3695 The story quest was cool, but that’s it. I too go excited in the heat of the moment, but the actual writing wasn’t great. We learned that she was lonely and sad, and yeah that sucks. But she didn’t really show any remorse for her decisions: it was almost as if she didn’t really care about all the deaths and mental torment that came from the vision hunt and sakoku decree. P.S. the resistance coming to Inazuma city was cool but also crazy. Like how the hell did they just teleport there? Too convenient imo,
At the rate this is going, I feel like the MC will end up being the strongest character in the game both in lore and gameplay once this is all over. I dunno why but that's what I think will happen. Like he has a 5-star portrait instead of neutral color that's usually given to the playable main character in these type of games, makes me wonder if he'll transform or something once he manages to get all the elements or will he regain his former strength while being able to harness the power of the 7 elements, I don't know. What I'm pretty certain of is there will probably be some kind of transformation gonna be involved, after all, this is miHoYo we're talking about here, they love 'em power-up transformations

Even skipping her banner.
kazuha gaining electro power is the same badass energy as zenitsu finally using his golden katana lightning attack in demon slayer insert ohhhh meme
12:54 that Electro Excalibur is real shit
Too bad we can't use it
looks like the thing himeko did in honkai before she died
Cutscene traveler is too strong ......cutscene traveler needs to be a real thing
i suprised cause in Ei cutscene there is a bit khaenriah music
When exactly?
what khaenri’ah music
Pov your phone couldn't handle all these cut scenes so you go to yt lol joke aside kazuha was able to use his friend's vision!??
12:01 IS THAT KAZUHA'S DEAD FRIENDS VOICE????? IF IT IS WHY IS HIS VOICE TO ATTRACTIVE WHAT
I hope mihoyo really do a character s with double element s
then the normal attacks are infused with one element and the skill does a aoe of other elements and infuses of other element
9:00 That scene reminds me of the Little Nightmares (part 1) ending
SAME LMAO I WAS SO SCARED
Wait wait wait, so it's not only the original Dendro who was slained in the battle of Khaenriah but is also the first Electro Archon? Oh wow, what happened 500 years ago must have been some deep shit.
No, the Electro archon was killed before Khaenri'ah got nuked iirc
@@thefoolsfavorite i think she died in the Khaen'rian battle. Ei's memories are the time they ruled together. She also fight some battles, but the main celestia's stuff is Makoto to do
That’s probably why Venti and Zhongli don’t like talking about it. If you’ve done the We Will Be Reunited quest, there is more lore to Khaenri’ah, and yeah it is rlly deep.
Wait so the theory that Scaramouche is part of the electro archon is correct?!
Whoa, I'm so confused... Mihoyo did an amazing job in writing the story; there's so many twists!
wait when did they say that
@@meulware When 2.1 trailer came out a lot of people came up with the theory that Scaramouche is part of the electro archon

She's scared of both
Every archon is like this. Celestia is very corrupt according to Venti; so he doesn’t like talking about it. Almost every god in Teyvat hates Celestia. In Ei’s case, this is probably because Baal died during the destruction of Khaenri’ah, who was her closest friend.
Paimon's indignat reactions are gold. It always has me burst out laughing. Awww she's too cute.
Wait, SOMEONE ELSE USING XINYAN OTHER THAN ME!?!?!?!?!? AMAZING!!!!
20:47 hold on... that little fox has the same color hair as Yae and has similar shaped earrings..
(Note: I read this wrong they said the archon is male but *WHERE AYATO*)
The leaks/theory that is debunked is:
-Kazuha dying in the hands of Ei
-Mona and Lisa's deathflags
-Signora's escape in Inazuma
And lastly , *WE NEED TO SEE AYATO*
Sumeru’s archon is a male, but they worshipped the lesser god diety which is a female.
@@Samchanne21 Oh , I must have read it wrong. Thank you for correcting me
Dendro archon is a man and the youngest archon out of the current archon. Kusanali could probably his pet/servant/related to him or the first dendro archon or just like an adeptus
How were the death flag debunked!?
@@user-sw4ww3ho4q there is a leak saying potentially one of either Mona or Lisa is gonna die on the next archon quest "Referring the first one" . It's clearly debunked since none of them dies. It can happen in the future but not today
I really can't believe the traveller defeated la signora and raiden shogun at the same time
That is so unexpected the writings finally getting good
@Shadow Master your opinion, not a fact.
@@KillerOstrich no lol, it really got worse

Or better yet dont go to a video of the cutscenes just to hate on the story. Criticism is one thing but you guys arent even giving a point you are just saying the writing is bad.
@@KillerOstrich I can explain why it got worse: it was rushed. A lot of characters were put aside and the redemption of Ei was too fast.
@@sun-iy6oz fair points but rushed work doesn't imply bad work. Its all based on the consumer of said entertainment, it was rushed but they can still do more with the areas. It is rushed and for that i am disappointed that they didn't do more with the development of Teppei, Gouro and Kokomi but that didn't take away from the good parts of the story.
As a venti simp, she did deserve it. But i kinda feel bad for her, she's too pathetic
Sameee, I wouldn't go as far as pathetic though. I honestly didn't care that we'd meet her, I was just "meh... we gonna fight, so imma beat her ass for Venti" but then she suddenly died??? Like okay??? But I moved on after like an hour or two LOL
@@caramelsonn2696 I mean, she's not as present as main characters so no one would care if she dies or not
I pity her. Even her former deity has forgotten her, not short of forsaking her.
Lmao she relies on her status in the Fatui to manipulate people. Honestly…Signora is the worst.
@@kokichisscarf92 Not as bad as creating vision hunt and sekoku decree only to ignore it until it becomes civil war lol
So now that Signora died is childe gonna replace Signora now of taking gnosis on all nations
Maybe. But Childe is also quite incompetent (look at Liyue) when it comes to good plans. He is described to be the most ‘out there’ of all the Harbingers.
I’m pretty sure we’ll get to see him interact with Scaramouche though.
No, it will be Scaramuche
I think it’ll be scara

HAHAHAHHAHAHAH she said not even ashes will remain yet she died
Well, plot armor bro
The Tomo scene gave me goosebump
Thanks for uploading. My game’s cutscenes decided to stutter and die on me midgame after finally finishing an equally glitching Signora fight. The whole scene after the fight got dark real fast. I love it. Bummer that Signora died. Didn’t like her at first but learning her backstory as the crimson witch made me change me mind. Wonder if mihoyo will make dead characters playable.
I'm so happy that Kazuha didn't die. He didn't deserve to get done like that by the rumors.
But the important question is did Sara die? She doesn’t show up in the ending.
Looks like she surivied, if you have her she has lines about the future now that the Vision Hunt Decree is ended.
i dont think so
I don’t think she died. I wish they made it clearer though. it feels like the ending was so rushed
I don't think so
@@kazedadada It really is.
She probably just passed out or fainted. She’s not entirely dead as far as we know, since her vision is still activated. If she really was dead, her vision would be gone.
Yae sounds like a female Kaeya-
Im expecting more from the next archon quests. They better be good than this one. I hope the archon quests will surpass the one before as we get closer to the end.
Well fasten your seat belts I think we're in for a bumpy ride
Dude, that was literally the best story quest ever in Genshin xD
I'm sure they will be more awesome stories in future.
@@kazukiiscosplays3695 The story quest was cool, but that’s it. I too go excited in the heat of the moment, but the actual writing wasn’t great. Kokomi, Gorou, and the resistance as a whole weren’t heavily utilized nor explored, and the story was kind of rushing things. Also, Raiden didn’t really get a proper redemption.
Too convenient imo,
Please dont tell me i have to fight Ei and Signora im so fucking weak
Unfortunately, you do.
Same lmfao
I still can't feel that her ends justify the means. It kind of just seems like she's just scared and oblivious to the wishes of others around her.
11:50 Why does this reminds of me Saitama about to give genos the expressway to heaven
18:04 Wait, that was Teppei... :D
Man, the story is so cool but way too short, I wish they put in more into the plot concerning the Sangonomiya
Yep definetly and it being so short means many things feel rushed and unanswered like the Sanganomiya, why the Fatui are even here, Ei's past and why she is let of so easily.
@@davidjula7432 probably just save for future event, like how we bump into the girl being possessed by the Earth dragon for a good awhile but not until Zhongli get another focus event that we get to see it.

What Aether said: Abolish the Vision Hunt Decree!
What Ei most likely heard (because of the aggressive music): Beat my ass I dare you.
Thanks for the cutscene upload bruh. After Signora died my game decided to not show any cinematic cutscenes in story progression and left me even more confused after I gained the whole "knowledge" of this chapter. Kinda sad to say good idea but bad/fast executed...
Ok I was NOT expecting the twin thing. Also was not expecting to hear that Drndro Archon is female. My brain is fried like geeze...
Apparently, every other Archon starting now is going to be a female. The only male archons are Venti and Zhongli.
Was anyone listening to 'Bury The Light' when watching this fight?

Wait a minute. Barbatos is drunkard of a bard, Morax is a broke consultant, and Baal (Ei) is... a hikikomori ruler? What's next? A scholar that is too suggestive and uses too many innuendos? A judge that has the habit to laze around? A gladiator that uses more brawn than brains? There are no limits here, Am I right?
Sumeru may possibly be *worst* then Inazuma, we have no dendro characters except Baizhu being confirmed due to the Liyue archon quest (possibly Yaoyao but we don’t really have an actual picture of her in game/storyline) Ei never gave out visions but at least we had Beidou, Fischl, Keqing and Razor instead of no electro characters.
