Thinking about how long games are developed, tweaked etc it seems rather logically to me that they knew a rough date for her release and when it was rather set they decided on the details.

If they do not suffer, then it's just plain ugly.
@@avian3548 I don't think she is omnipotent. From what we've seen she's only capable of possessing people that are wearing the akasha terminals. The case with the GAA was because the powers being experimented on were similar to hers which for some reason granted her the ability to observe the traveler and friends.

This is the most creative character teaser so far imo, the repeating lines and waking up made it feel like the sabzeruz samsara in the archon quest The whole change in artstyle, colours, music and nahida’s expression in the last dream gave me goosebumps and the ending made me wanna cry 😭

500 years of being imprisoned, and yet Nahida never once showed a sign of erosion. She still kept her pure heart, truthfully wanting to protect Sumeru and its people. That's real strength right there.

Yep! Thought some of the meaning of the dreamscape is lost doing that. The dreamscape arranges those dreams very specifically, we get her ideal dream that she yearned for all along, then the day dream of her dreaming about the Traveler rescuing her and celebrating her birthday with her, then we get the reality, the Akedemiya found her and took her against her will to place her in a 'carriage' the final dream is reality, not a dream, where the silver bird flutters her wings within a cage she cannot ever hope to leave on her own power.

For people who didn't understand the message; The trailer emphazises Nahida's talking about the same dream over and over again, waking up in a flower carriage, the dream about how her birthday is being gorgeous and wholesome (like if what she just felt, was not a dream, but a daydream truth). But as the trailer keep repeating the same dream (samsara's loop), Nahida without changing the subject, changes her voice tone, showing different realities as if they were all just dreams, but keeps explaining the same old gorgeous dream. At the end, she no longer talks about a "dream", but just about her "reality", her "birthday", foreshadowing that all her days traped in the Sanctuary Of Surasthana are an endless samsara. I have no words to describe how I love this character's design and lore. We need to save her at all costs 😭
idk about you guys but this is probably the most emotional I've felt for an archon's character teaser. There's just something more heartbreaking about Nahida (being a literal toddler in immortal standards) having to go through all this and yet simply longed for a birthday with the people she holds dear.
Not to mention, ever since her birth, she has only been subjected to criticism simply because she wasn't rhukedevata (tho, in reality - I won't say cuz spoilers for those who have not played the quest yet). It truly is heartbreaking for a person who is still willing to show so much compassion towards the people, who have considered her nothin lesser than someone in comparison to the greater lord, have to go through such an experience. 500 years truly shows her resilience.

This has to be the most darkest teaser so far, it really hit me because I can understand how she feels. You dream of your own birthday getting celebrated by your favourite people, but as it continues it gets lonelier and no one cares for it anymore.

“Knight of flowers” for the Traveler hits different when you’ve completed the Aranyaka quest, the one where you wear the crown of flowers… Also, notice the difference: Nahida wears no flower crown at the first line of “Oh Archon, We’ve finally found you.” The second time-after the traveler and friends-she is wearing a flower crown, like the one we see in the Aranyaka world quest line.
You say props to the Va, i say props to the writer. I think it's time to stop giving voice actors all this credit, they may add something to a characer, but at the end of the day they're just reding text, stop dreaming. If the text is garbage, the character will be garbage, no voice actor can change that. And if you don't realize that the value of a character is within his story, well, then you're just a superficial fool.
@@kosmos138 eh if writing is so important watch this with subtitles without audio and see if it's that good without it. Good voice acting is just as important as the lines written. This teaser is a good example of that with how much emotion is conveyed though audio with repeated lines.
well, if im correct, the traveler arrive in teyvat exactly 500 years after the fall of kaenri'ah, also the time of nahida's birthday when we started our journey. tho this is only a theory and has some strong points that support this. The game released back in October 28th, which was the time the travelers journey started, so was nahida's bday, as the season changes, there are also events that align with the years season, so its safe to assume that nahida has "celebrated" her bday 502 years now :(...

That hits hard when the traveler represent as the Knight of Flowers. I remember doing that looooong Aranara quest just to get that flower crown and to be accepted by their own kind. A simple trailer, but it hits hard with every representation of her dream.

@@abyssenjoyer No, the story is written from Aether's perspective, Lumine is the abyss sibling canonically. It is totally okay to have your own headcanon where they are swapped like the gameplay allows, the devs WANT you to imagine that, but you have to remmember that the tropes of this story are all based on Aether who canonically is a silent protagonist, Lumine is quite talkative in lore. I can't remember where but the Travelers _used_ to have a little more bio to them and Aether specifically acts like an older, quiet brother around others, but is generally demure and caring in his sister's presence, this plays much stronger into the story of finding your sister, Aether MUST find his sister.
This video is one of the reasons why, 5 months later, Nahida has basically never left my team (I mean, of course it certainly helps that she's brokenly OP too lol....). I just want her to see the world with me. She's been all across Sumeru, Inazuma, Liyue and Mondstadt, she's seen the Windblume and Lantern Rite Festivals, and soon, she'll get to see Fontaine too!
Best character teaser so far, Mihoyo. The repetition of lines is really creative and geniunely gave me goosebumps, only to break my heart in the last seconds.
This trailer not only made me sad, it also proves how messed up the "Sages" are, I put air quotes above their title since Sages are supposed to be wise and willing to help guide people, but when it came to Nahida, they stopped helping as soon as they accepted that Great Lord Rukkhadevata was no more, so they treated everyone and everything around them LIKE A TOOL! They decided to get absolutely drunk on knowledge, spread false stories about King Deshret and the Dendro Archon, all for the purpose of making people DESPISE or FORGET about her entirely. If you want me to say how I feel about the sages, I left a comment on this video basically saying my opinion on them.

2 years later, Nahida finally got to celebrate her birthday with everyone. Sumeru's story was amazing, it's wonderful to see it have some more closure with everyone together, celebrating the Sabseruz festival, for real this time.

Things I like about this teaser 1. The art style changes as the story does. It goes from a drawing like that of a child to a more realistic and darker tone. 2. The 3 different birthdays she has. The first birthday is a wish, a wish that the people of sumeru would love her and celebrate her. The second birthday is the future, that the traveler will rescue Nahida and introduce her to her people. The last birthday is the past, when the sages brought her back to the grieving people of sumeru and then locked her away. 3. The same story looping with the same events but different outcomes and feelings is a reference to the Sabzerus Samsara from the archon quest.
Two years later, she finally got the best birthday ever.

The trailer emphazises Nahida's talking about the same dream over and over again, waking up in a flower carriage, the dream about how her birthday is being gorgeous and wholesome (like if what she just felt, was not a dream, but a daydream truth). But as the trailer keep repeating the same dream (samsara's loop), Nahida without changing the subject, changes her voice tone, showing different realities as if they were all just dreams, but keeps explaining the same old gorgeous dream.
At the end, she no longer talks about a "dream", but just about her "reality", her "birthday", foreshadowing that all her days traped in the Sanctuary Of Surasthana are an endless samsara.
I have no words to describe how I love this character's design and lore. We need to save her at all costs 😭

well, if im correct, the traveler arrive in teyvat exactly 500 years after the fall of kaenri'ah, also the time of nahida's birthday when we started our journey. tho this is only a theory and has some strong points that support this.
The game released back in October 28th, which was the time the travelers journey started, so was nahida's bday, as the season changes, there are also events that align with the years season, so its safe to assume that nahida has "celebrated" her bday 502 years now :(...

I can't remember where but the Travelers _used_ to have a little more bio to them and Aether specifically acts like an older, quiet brother around others, but is generally demure and caring in his sister's presence, this plays much stronger into the story of finding your sister, Aether MUST find his sister.

This trailer not only made me sad, it also proves how messed up the "Sages" are, I put air quotes above their title since Sages are supposed to be wise and willing to help guide people, but when it came to Nahida, they stopped helping as soon as they accepted that Great Lord Rukkhadevata was no more, so they treated everyone and everything around them LIKE A TOOL! They decided to get absolutely drunk on knowledge, spread false stories about King Deshret and the Dendro Archon, all for the purpose of making people DESPISE or FORGET about her entirely. If you want me to say how I feel about the sages, I left a comment on this video basically saying my opinion on them.

Sumeru's story was amazing, it's wonderful to see it have some more closure with everyone together, celebrating the Sabseruz festival, for real this time.

Things I like about this teaser
1. The art style changes as the story does. It goes from a drawing like that of a child to a more realistic and darker tone.
2. The 3 different birthdays she has. The first birthday is a wish, a wish that the people of sumeru would love her and celebrate her. The second birthday is the future, that the traveler will rescue Nahida and introduce her to her people. The last birthday is the past, when the sages brought her back to the grieving people of sumeru and then locked her away.
3. The same story looping with the same events but different outcomes and feelings is a reference to the Sabzerus Samsara from the archon quest.
