Takatsukasa Clan wants to become the new head of the Tenryou Commission but did not accept the request of Raiden Shogun to duel. I think the greatest part about this is that he doesn't know that he's fighting Ei, he thinks he's fighting the merciless "Raiden Shogun".

A lot of characters in Genshin that don't have visions but are still damn strong, Rostam(La Signora's lover) eho dual wield a fuking greatsword and a longsword, Arundolyn, the Grandmaster during the Cataclysm, and the Bloodstained Knight(previously known as the White Knight and trained under Rostam but lost his mind and pledged himself to the Abyss). All of these characters don't have visions but are still the one of the strongest humans. No wonder people always talked about the Knight of Favonius even though a lot of them are cowards.

The only requirement is desire and another which she can't say much about it. Couldn't be her gnosis as she could have said that in the first place. Probably something to do with Celestia.

Ya know, for a guy without a vision, he held his own for a good few seconds against an archon, and thats respectable. My guy legit had the balls to fight an archon, especially the archon that he worships. Its no wonder why chisato fell in love with this guy, he’s a real gigachad.

I love how you can clearly see she is aiming for his weapon and not him, and that she isn't really trying to hurt him she just testing his resolve. Also with the exception of the first time she hits him she only ever uses the staff itself and not the blade and the first hit it's quite obvious she use the flat of the blade otherwise he would have died on the first hit

@@mpred8606 Ei does mention that had it been the Shogun who had fought, Kamaji would've been killed. Also, Kazuha's friend was pretty much spoiling for a fight, whereas this duel was initiated by Ei herself as a test.
It wasn’t her though it was the Shogun puppet Ei doing things more flexible. After this quest Ei also said if it wasn’t her but the puppet, the puppet probably would have killed him.
i like how before the fight this guy literally said "Yeah i'm 100% gonna get my ass kicked" then proceeds to fight her anyways. That's courage right there.

but he was realistically strong for a human and could block a few of Ei's attack despite Ei holding back and actually not trying to hit him in a fatal place.

@@edwardsong5199 yeah its very confusing, information is keep contradicting each other. Sumeru Academia said that the reason there were no electro visions was because of Baals will. I thought of it like this, maybe the one giving the visions was Shogun since she was probably shortly created after Ei became the archon and went to her shadow realm (thus not understanding how visions work). She wasn't even aware that there hasn't been new electro visions or maybe its just Celestia playing around
I seriously love this scene. Like, the build up to this duel was Kamaji coming to terms with his one biggest flaw: A lack of action. He isn't like Sara. Sara held blind loyalty to both the Shogunate and the Tenryou Commission. She wasn't able to see what was going on and when she finally did it caused her to go into a rage. Kamaji, however, was smart enough to figure out that the Commission was doing something terrible but in the end felt powerless and chose to do nothing. To make matters worse, after everything went down in Inazuma and he had to take over the Commission, he was still acting passively, not once exerting any form of authority or control. But when things turned south, that's when it finally sunk into Kamaji what he was doing wrong and what he should do from that point on, even if it meant giving up his life fighting someone beyond his ability to defeat.
It's a shame that he's just an NPC. This dude has become a freaking legend in my book now.

Sara actually mentioned of questioning whether what she was doing, but was held back by the teachings of loyalty drilled into her by the head of the Kujou Clan. This and the fact that she realized that her upbringing was simply not as genuine as she had assumed it was made her all the more enraged at the fact that she was simply... used.

So far Inazuma has a lot of cool, interesting and tragic story for their NPC especially after 2.1 update. For me, this dude and Teppei has the best story arc so far.
I'd argue that Teppei is kind of... Uh... Bland for my tastes. But yeah, I agree with you on Kamaji. Tbh, he should be the playable character instead of Sara as I found him to be engaging as a character. Heck, if you ask me... He's the only redeeming quality this Archon Quest had and he's up there with the likes of Chouji, Washizu and Yasumoto imo in terms of great npcs
@ray i think it's because of his determination. and his spirit for his clan. Also, this dude aint not "mr nobody", he already introduced in early chapter of inazuma as the fiancee' of that girl who helped you out from Ritou. but yeah to be honest they should've been made longer story for whole arc in inazuma in order for us to be attached with characters. The story concept is good, but pacing is kinda messed up and rushed.

Not to mention there was more to it than her just being depressed the whole point of the vision hunt decree was to finally achieve eternal peace in Inazuma. If you look at quest like the warriors will that spawns after chapter 2 you’ll see that the raiden shogun wanted peace and if it mean sacrifice a few lives ( most of which had the option of just not issuing duels before the thrones like kazuha friend or just outright hiding their visions and not making it such public knowledge) then their would be less casualties

The people who died during the decree such as Kazuha friend were only killed because they issued a duel before the throne which is something you must willingly issue meaning that those people were aware of the consequences but still chose to fight nonetheless. The resistance was always on bad terms with the raiden shogun because of orobashi death and needed a reason to go back to war with her anyway. You make it sound as if every single person who’s had their visions stolen were immediately killed which is false, arataki ittou got his vision stolen yet he was still very much alive and causing trouble throughout Inazuma the people that Ayaka made us talk to were still alive hell if Thomas vision was fully stolen she’d have just let him go without spilling so much as a drop of his blood. Kazuha outright says that those who challenge the vision hunt decree like his friend and lost would die while the victors are given a second chance. Also I love how you call this being selfish when you have gods like venti who straight up leaves his people alone long enough for them to start enslaving Vanessa people enslaving witches like la signora and Mona and having them killed all because he couldn’t just watch over them from afar because he didn’t think that was true freedom. It’s clear that you don’t realize that Ei genuinely cares for Inazuma and is willing to sacrifice anything in order for her nation to shine brightly like she wants. Kamaji should've gotten a Vision for this. It would be quite poetic to Ei to test and bare witness to the birth of the latest Electro Vision holder as a final nail to the coffin of Vision Hunt decree.
His resolves is as strong as stone. His ambitious though, is another story.

Kamaji has the biggest balls out of any Inazuma character, he didn’t deserve to have the Npc skin. He deserved his own style and model honestly.
On that video where dainsleif explains about the character skills he says that ei actually created the way people fight with swords and polearms on teyvat so she in terms of skills with weapons she is probably the best in all of teyvat

That's the point. He doesn't have one, not to mention this was Ei, not the puppet. This NPC was ready to actually fricking DIE just to show that HONOR still flows through their veins. It's a shame people just trash on a character being "weak" rather than just respecting that he did a duel, where if it weren't Ei fighting, he could've 100% died.
This isn’t because only physical fight, it’s about how he fight and prove something to Raiden, for his clan and his people. Genshin has alot of lesson and should be appreciated

This guys definitely getting a vision in the future. As weak as he seemed, he lasted even somewhat decently against an archon.
This is even not a battle, ei holds back too much for him (also she appears to only use the weapon not an element and dont forgot she hit him with the blunt part of the nagi ata), if youre talking decent. Traveller is the best type of "decent" since ei dont hold back too much. But this guy is a good example of loyalty to the raiden.

Like others have mentioned the one Kazuha fought is not really Ei. It’s the puppet body. The puppet’s setting is ruthless. Though the shogun is modelled after Ei but when it comes to dealing things the Shogun doesn’t have Ei’s conscious mind, so the shogun doing things quite mechanically. Ei is more flexible when it comes to this sort of things. You can say the shogun is the condensation of Ei’s stubbornness.
At least it’s not the dull blade
Actually, the dull blade has to be some kind of legendary weapon considering how Traveler has used it for literally everything without breaking a sweat
I honour such opponent. For someone like him has such will to continue, even he has the knowledge that he will never win. I truly respect him.
Ei knew he was no match (I know none match against the raiden shogun’s martial prowess but he was weak even by the usual standards)
Yet she didn’t mock or insult him , she took his challenge seriously and didn’t hold back
But neither did she use more force than necessary

I'm not sure if he's suicidal or brave for doing this. Think about it, the moment he took that challenge up, he was already dead if this was the puppet fighting. In which he didn't knew it was Ei. And since he also knew this fight is also to the death basing it off that he was prepared to die. I think the pressure of being the commissioner is taking a very big toll.
Considering that their literally running the government and her military specifically yes this is very big for the family as a whole.
Ayato/ka lost both their parents to stress just for the family to get their prestige back after an accident with a famous blacksmith and Ayato is still carrying the clan on his back and that’s just cultural affairs. The tenryo commission is literally the shoguns army and police so matters like this is of the upmost care

Kamaji is born into a noble clan and it should be obvious that he had education with this in mind just imagine that he knows the history of inazuma. Just imagine fighting someone that slew many gods and have cut an island in half, Kamaji has shown great courage and i think most people will tremble in fear in just the presence of a god let alone fight one. He was lucky that Ei decided to take a stroll because if the puppet were in charge then there wont be a fight, there will be an execution. I probably think he might have gotten musou no hitotachied in the first 10 seconds
The whole time I was like “please let this be about honor and nothing else. Please let this be about honor and nothing else. Please don’t kill off any character anymore”. At the end I was like “phew, it was just about honor. No death. Yay!”

I enjoyed this scene, but at the same time, I felt EXTREMELY disappointed by it. I totally expected to see his will and tenacity result in him being granted a vision and we'd see that actually HAPPEN. it would've been so hype. imagine if the music started to swell as lightning crackled along his blade and he made another strike, completely missing of course but taking her aback at the sudden gain of the first new Electro Vision in YEARS
I don't think Ei can give visions anymore, without a Gnosis. If what the other comments are saying is true, then she isn't the one granting visions in the first place. Rather, it's Celestia
@@dragonfell5078 IDK about the latter, but it was explicitly mentioned IIRC that no new Electro visions have been granted in years, I think Razor was one of the last to get one, which should coincide somewhat with the start of the Vision Hunt Decree...
Also, Yae Miko says that Baal has been disconnected from Celestia after giving HER her Gnosis several HUNDRED years ago. Razor is NOT several hundred years old, so I don't think a Gnosis is required to grant Visions
Ei state that she has no direct control on who gain vision. Its about the ambition and other things she cant say about.
@@little7cider Well it still stands that there were no new Electro Visions given more or less since the start of the Vision Hunt Decree, so that implies she has at least the control to stop granting them. I do believe that seeing a vision be actually granted (and not the (awesome) BS with Kazuha that was temporary) would have been AMAZING to see in that scene, and absolutely should've happened. Sad that it didn't, would've made it so much cooler

Instead of trying to save his life, Kujou Kamaji was ready to die for his clan, to atone the sins of mistakes of Kujou family, knowing that he and his clan may die right here, but they will die with the little honor they still had.
This dude was considered an anomaly in eternity alongside with the Traveller. We really need to appreciate this dude's fucking balls of titanium

I always believe in him even in the beginning when we first escape Ritou. I give my blessings to Shinnojō and Chisato to get married. F* their parents. Fortunately, he wasn't fighting Shogun or else, we might see the 5th in-game death, a more gruesome one.

I would not say that. Electro Visions in particular seem to be awarded to those who make a complete discovery about thier existence and/or impact the world and make thier mark for Eternity.
For Beidou, for example, she actually took on and defeated one of the most feared sea monsters in Tevyat history, and lived.
For Fischl, she had such a willpower that she created Oz from nothing but her imganization and force of will.
For Sara, she survived devastation and came to terms with who she was.
