I just love your channel, we can see that you are very passionate about menstyle in all aspects of it. Thank you so much for all your effort and keep going this way!
No matter how man, rows of buttons your jacket has, it is perfectly ok to unbutton it while sitting down. And it looks a lot more elegant. This does not apply to a waist coat, of course, where the lowest button may (should) be opened, especially when sitting down.
New on my timeless menswear journey and I just watched a video on sprezzatura and I’m thinking that’s what you got going on with your cuffs and you’re crushing it 😂 found your content recently and binging it now! Keep it up bro! Happy new year!
I would say that autumn/fall is the most stylish season. It is the season of the trenchcoat and you have a wide range. You can dress a bit too cold or too warm, so lots of choices.
@Gent.Z I like your videos but I would like to give a small suggestion. I think it would help it you showed the pictures for a few more seconds. I have to pause the video to get a look at the outfit that you are referencing. Hope that helps. Keep the videos coming.
I tend to do both when it comes to wearing hats in the winter. The trapper hat and the beanie. I also have been wearing a ski jacket over my suit as it is getting too cold in NYC for top coats or wool overcoats.
Great recommendations! Just a small correction - the peaky blinders hats are called newsboy caps, which you correctly pictured in the video. Newsboy caps have the button in the middle and 8 panels, while flat caps have no button and 3 to 6 panels on the hat.
Gonna have to disagree with the beanie hat. In most American cities like Chicago and New York, it gets really cold and a beanie is a necessity between December and March (except this year, unseasonably warm). And no one associates it with nerds, everyone wears them here.
I know this is more about Bond than Daniel Craig, but I think his winter look (especially the grey puffer jacket )in "Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" is a great place to look for winter style.
the trick to looking good in extreme cold is to stick to natural materials, several brands produce down padded suede jackets, Valstar makes great ones.
Agree with most of your opinions here except for Graig's suits. IMHO and other's Graig lost his way with too tight fitting suits and trousers looking like a stuffed sausage despite Tom Ford product placement efforts especially as he progressed to his last films. BTW the Americans call a 'beanie' a 'toque' which is incorrect, it is a 'tuque' in French and pronounced as such !
I think we have to remember that some of these movies were made during a period where very skinny fit suits was the fashion, so the Tom Ford suits are fairly moderate considering what a lot of ordinary your guys were wearing!
dude, please don't compare that SuitSupply monstrosity to Tom Ford's masterpiece, it's a totally different style and material. With a coat the length is crucial, it has to be just right and that SuitSupply looks ridiculously short.
My main takeaway from this is you finally took on beanies. I detest them and any distaste towards them always warms my heart. :P Part of the fun of a hat is wearing something with shape and structure, something that frames you head well, a beanie.. doesn't exactly have that. I love gloves, love chukkas, love everything on this list. If you don't mind my asking, is the Q&A still on, and is it going to be soon?
Hahaha, yes, that’s just my personal opinion on beanies. But I’m glad you agree 👍 I would like to do the Q&A soon but I honestly still need to get more questions from some other of my regular subscribers! So hopefully soon, I have all your questions saved!
It is Canada Goose not Golden Goose, but you are correct, James Bond never wore that jacket in the movie. That photo is his own jacket during a media event.
You have no idea about winter clothing in cold climates - London and New York don't really have winter. We have a saying in my city (Ottawa, Canada - one of the coldest capital cities in the world, after Ulaan Baata, Mongolia; Astana, Kazakhstan; and Moscow, Russia) "at -20C all fashion goes out the window". Dressing well means warmly - it's a matter of survival, not fashion. The gloves you showcase are laughable, you would be frostbite, which tends to spoil your manicure, because your fingers have to be amputated. You can get by with a good heavy overcoat over a wool suit, and use scarves and thinsulate-lined gloves to cover the exposed areas. But the big problem is boots. It isn't just a matter of the cold, but when that snow melts it creates vast puddles on dirty, salt-laced slush which not only soaks your feet, but ruins the leather and is very unsightly. Your brogue boots will be an expensive write-off. What most people do in the deep winter is abandon outer fashion - just wear a snow jacket and peel off that unsightly outer layer once they get into the office. They keep a pair of shoes (for women, it might be a dozen pairs) under their desk in the office. Nobody worries about what they look like on the street, besides your head is down, trying to avoid the bitter wind and dodge the salty sidewalk puddles. On nasty days I wear "duck shoes" which are plastic, to keep my feet dry, or if the sidewalks are dry, a pair of decent hiking boots - ideally insulated. In deep snow, you might even have to resort to snowmobile boots, which are a fashion accessory that you DON'T want to know about! For actual skiing, you have a completely different and specialized outfit, like you would for scuba diving. Few people wear puffy jackets, you need serious, synthetic ski suits, made of materials designed for the space program. These can be quite nice, in the right context, but you don't wear them anywhere but the slopes (except on those -20C days). One downside is, like most sportswear, these normally have big logos (including skis and ski boots). But it's all part of the culture, so it's okay.
Book a 1-1 style consultation with me so you too can dress like James Bond - www.gent-z.com/oneonone
I find it easier to be more stylish in the winter with the addition of layers.
I can see that, David! Thanks for the comment
I just love your channel, we can see that you are very passionate about menstyle in all aspects of it. Thank you so much for all your effort and keep going this way!
Thank you very much! I can’t wait to keep building this channel in the New Year!
You're wearing a great looking pocket square. Love the fold of it too. Very elegant.
Thank you, sir!
You are 100% correct on Daniel Craig Bond Style for every occasion. I’m a particular fan of the Islay Brogue boots
Great video 🎉 bonne année!
Thank you Michael! Ugh, those boots are so stunning! I love the Thursday ones too though
keep the good work up james!
Thank you!
And let us not forget that classic movie, "The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit (1956; Gregory Peck & Jennifer Jones).
No matter how man, rows of buttons your jacket has, it is perfectly ok to unbutton it while sitting down. And it looks a lot more elegant.

When you talked about flanel suits i remembered Gianni Agnelli, one of the most stylish man of his time. He had a wonderful bespoke flanel suit
Yes, good point! I love Gianni Agnelli's style, he is one of my biggest inspirations
Great video..enjoy your weekend
Thanks Kenneth, you too!

Thanks David! I did not actually know that
@@Gent.Z I’m a big fan of both styles, either are definitely smart choices for hat wear

Fair enough, David! Perhaps that’s more my personal association
I know this is more about Bond than Daniel Craig, but I think his winter look (especially the grey puffer jacket )in "Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" is a great place to look for winter style.
He had a slightly different albeit very cool style in that movie!

It’s impossible to be stylish when temperatures drop to -40 C… still trying my best
How was buenos aires? What did you think of the fashion? Any stories?
Great work James. I love winter style. I must disagree with you regarding the beanie. I love wearing them with boots.
Thanks, Darby! The beanie is definitely a personal opinion, they can be worn stylishly for sure, as I’m sure you do
I noticed your channel and I was wondering if you have covered sunglasses and other accessories?
You get even better gloves than Dent's from Hungant, cashmere lined deer leather for €60 or so, gorgeous gloves.
Thanks for mentioning the toque! However, the correct pronunciation is more like “two-k” with a hard k.
Ah, thank you! I was literally googling the pronounciation before this video but it seems I was misguided 😅
I love the video
Thank you! I’m working on another Bond video to post soon
@@Gent.Z I appreciate that !
I mostly wear flannel suit all year round

Yes

007 never wore a Golden Goose. Daniel Craig privately yes but never on a movie.

Yeah I meant CG, 007 would never wear anything with a logo. @@ronpruitt3832
