It's so cool to see that there are businessmen/women that aren't narcissists in the video game industry, like you can totally tell Kelsey just loves games, instead of being into collecting as a status symbol, or owning a video game business for the money/as a status symbol. We need more people like this owning video game stores.
I mean truthfully I've never met a retro store owner that didn't like gaming. It's a pretty niche market in the bigger picture and you aren't always necessarily going to make a ton of money every month so you kinda have to have a passion for it to even take the risk. That said of course people who open a business still want to at least make enough to live comfortably no matter how passionate they are.
Seriously. Owning a store and selling whatever is a gamble. This is a niche market. But i am sure she and everyone wants to make some money aswell. You know, food, bills.
This was an amazing episode. I’m super excited for this series. Of course my favourite part was the Animal Crossing collection. I spotted the AC calendar at the end. Very jealous. I have an unhealthy Animal Crossing card collection of over 2500 unique cards. I also found the Lawson tin recently. Loved the show. Keep it up ❤
Great collection and idea for a show. without a doubt you need to feature Console Collector on this series. One of the biggest and most diverse collections on TH-cam. Somebody tag him please
Remember her from MetalJesus channel...always seemed pretty cool and really into whatever she was talking about, will be interesting to see her hosting this show. Good stuff, solid first video.
The Tenori-On segment blew my mind! I used to play on the Yamaha Tenorion in a music tech shop in London during my lunch break ever day. I had no idea of it’s history at the time. To me it was the future of music 😂 the fact it has a game dev background just makes me love it even more now! Thank you so much for showing that. Going to look into that artist now 👍🏼
This is one of my favourite new things. And it got me down a WonderSwan hole for a week, I knew of it, but never actually looked at any games or anything for it. And it's great. Thanks!
This episode really sparked a thought with me. Games are awesome, but the story and history can often be greater than the gameplay. Case in point, I have gotten people who have negative interest in Video Games engaged in the story of how Axiom Verge ended up on the Wii U and how I got my two copies. I know one of the people I was talking to ended up donating to Happs charity even though they actively dislike video games. Despite never being interested in the WonderSwan system and games, Kelsey's passion throughout the years for this little system has definitely made me interested in the Story.
Really loved this video! Sad Kelsey doesn't do as much content these days, but this is such a great idea for videos and the collections don't even have to be as expansive as hers. I enjoyed how passionate she was talking about stuff NO ONE's heard about in some cases. Everyone's so negative about games that come out these days its so nice to go back and just have fun with retro stuff
Really great review on the Wonderswan system Kelsey really knows her stuff and is one of my favourite gaming TH-camrs 😊 she doesn't do enough on TH-cam if you ask me I would like to see her much more active in the community as she is great.
Just subscribed because of this. I always love watching a fellow female collector and her knowledge is amazing. Entertaining and informative. Can't wait to see more collections in the future!
Kelsey has a ton of knowledge in the game industry watched a ton of her over the years she has great collection of rare things. Game historian is great too. Congratulations Kelsey on being host of the minnmax
I love this idea!!!! I don’t think most people realize how hard it must be to do a collection show. Wow I hope it’s a success and I would love to see more of Kelsey! She’s awesome!!
I told myself I would start this video and watch maybe 10 minutes of it. 45 minutes later I realized I need to go take care of stuff and not be watching TH-cam videos. Thanks for showing off all your cool stuff. I've always been interested in the Wonderswan and that was fun seeing everything
Kelsey always does some really great research on the things she covers. It’s always amazing . If you guys haven’t checked out her TH-cam channel. I recommend it. excited for this show 👍🏻
I was looking at this collection and I was like, wow pretty interesting stuff. Then Kelsey saying she was a Mets fan. I'm truly impressed. Lets Go Mets!
I'm a game/ baseball card collector and many sports (like basketball/ football/ etc too ofc) collectors collect in this way, they collect around a favorite player regardless of value they just find it funner to collect what they like, like cool photography or sentimental value etc. great colection Kelsea!
That is absolutely an interesting and very exquisite collection being displayed here A lot of stuff I never heard of or seen before It's nice to see such individual ways of gaming and collecting history that were taken until this stage Keep up your very enthusiasm for the things tjat make you this proud and a respected person Greetings from Germany
My videos collection of video games are more impressive, that said beautiful collection and we feel his past as a player and that's the most important.
Wish I Could Show Off My Junk Like These Collector's...Mines All in Box's Stacked Up To The Ceiling, Toy's, Video Games, Comic's...Been Collecting Since 80's..Now I'm a Master Pack Rat Hoarder 💥💪😎💥 Great Channel Tho
I like how at 48:08 Kelsey slides de TV-GAME 6, after talking about how it is possible that it is the first limited edition console, next to a Switch OLED Splatoon, which may be the latest Limited Edition Console at the time of this recording...
Wow! There was Romancing Saga and Final Fantasy also for WonderSwan! Every day you learn something new. Fishing sonar was funny! I remember a long ago when Kelsey told about Nintendo DS sewing machine. TV-Game 6 goes long way back in the gaming history. Funny looking Pac-Man mascot!
When I was a kid I was in care , so like foster care and children’s homes , I loved Star Wars but I never had the toys as a kid , even though I saw them on TV , I thought only rich kids got to own such cool stuff , I’m 52 now, and my partner understands this and does not have an issue at all with me filling our spare room with everything I wanted as a kid , I have transformers now and RC robots and so much cool kid stuff from the 70s and 80s in my crazy room , it’s my place to feel like a kid finally
I tried to get into WonderSwan in earnest many years ago, but I can't say I go back to it often. I do go back and play Makaimura for Wonderswan and Buffer's Evolution from time to time, but that's about it. On the plus side, Judgement Silversword was included on the disc with Eschatos on Xbox 360, which is a much more economical way to play it, as well as Cardinal Sins. Also, Eschatos is a mighty fine shooter in and of itself.
Not sure if this counts because its PC & not console but I have a fair collection of shmups from comikets of the mid 2000s, alot of the stuff isn't online anywhere and at the time they were EXTREMELY cheap!!! Games like Zen Ichi & Battle Traverse are 10/10 shooters
Ben, you all should get Heather Campbell from How Did This Get Played on your show for this segment or another. Lifetime gamer with an amazing collection
I would give anything to have a Reggie or a Phil Spencer look at Kelsey's collection and see how much stuff that they have never even heard of or seen.
To help support the show and to be potentially show off your collection in a future episode, please check out MinnMax on Patreon! www.patreon.com/minnmax
I have not seen Kelsey’s new Game Room, so this was pretty cool to see! 😮
This is one of the best things MinnMax has produced yet! Can't wait to see more!
@Marko Polo I thought it was cool af and interesting so I guess that makes your whole statement wrong.
@Marko Polo Funny how people have different interests. Ill never understand how ppl can't understand that.
Dude I miss you guys doing videos together. The whole MJR Crew. We need it again my friend.
@Marko Polo so why are you here again if you didn't like it? odd....
Fantastic first episode of "Me, My Shelf and I". I'm looking forward to the next one. Kelsey is awesome!
This should be the name!
Ben's kicking himself rn
“Cream of the Collection”
I like Kelseys energy. She is a great addition to this channel. Keep it up guys!
YOU'RE a great addition to the show...
@@kcidd12 aww...thanks! :)
@@pixelhotdish (: !!!
YOO! I was sad when Kelsey stopped making content on her show. so glad to see her on another platform. I love her passion for game history.
I used to watch Kelsey when she made appearances on MetalJesusRocks’ channel. Small world!
Kelsey's collection is incredible! Dang, such cool and unique pieces of game history.
Always appreciate Kelsey's insight, knowledge, and passion!

Extremely bizarre
No fake gamer owns the snes workout bike 😂

Console collector 100% needs to be featured
I love Kelsey from the Video Game History Hour, I can't wait to see where this series goes!
Remember her from MetalJesus channel...always seemed pretty cool and really into whatever she was talking about, will be interesting to see her hosting this show. Good stuff, solid first video.

I've always associated Kelsey with WonderSwan since I saw her collection on MJR. That's an impressive collection.
Same here. I started playing it thanks to that video from MJR
same here ahah
This was great. It would be cool to get other people known for giant collections like MetalJesusRocks.

Been missing to see her on a more stable basis since the Metal Jesus days.
This is astounding. I think Kelsey just changed the definition of what a "gamer" is
I loved this, really looking forward to more. One of the best new show ideas MinnMax has ever come up with.
Honestly it's cool to see Kelsey do some more TH-cam stuff. I miss her uploading on her own channel.
This is a great idea for a show! Kelsey really knows her stuff. Looking forward to each episode!

starting a band called "Snake Roy on the Cougar Boy"
Really cool to see her on here. Really hate she hasn't done a video on her TH-cam channel in 3 years, or so.
Very nice, I need to do an updated game room tour for my new house and showcase everything.
Waiting for you to do the John Riggs / Hancock, Radical Reggie and MJR 🤘
Love this idea! More please 🙏
We'd love to make more, thanks for the support!
Gotta get Gerstmann on here
Glad to see Kelsey's collection 2022, been a whilllle since she posted anything
exactly haha reading most of these comments below it doesn't seem like a lot of people knows that she has her own youtube channel
I had the wonderborg for the wonderswan , I still have it in my loft at my old house that I rent out , it was a really cool robot
I LOVE KELSLEY !!!!!!!!! SHES TOO COOL !!!!!!!
I thought she was done with TH-cam. Cool to see she’s coming back to the scene.
I think Snake Roy MUST be the next game for MinnMax Plays.
I need that on a spiritual level!

I knew there'd be one!!
Wait, Kelsey with a retro show?? yeaahh!! Subscribed

I hit the like button in 00:00:48 :D
Kelsey rules. Looking forward to seeing what’s next. Her collection is insane, her knowledge even more so.
You should do one of these with Metal Jesus.
No thanks
When you thought it was a WonderSwan pregnancy test I lost it! This was a lot of fun.
I would give anything to have a Reggie or a Phil Spencer look at Kelsey's collection and see how much stuff that they have never even heard of or seen.
I friggin’ loved it!!! ❤️🔥🦖
Love it
a crazy collection at home not to mention all the games she owns at both Pink Gorilla Stores in downtown Seattle.
OHHHHH, ULTRAHAND!!!!! I get the tears of the kingdom thing's name now!!!
