Thanks for the tour, Kelsey! I always enjoy your videos with Metal Jesus. Thanks for always being willing to share your knowledge and opinions on retro games!
Oh, how I can relate to getting those "Uuuh, your collection is sooo small and incomplete, you're not to be taken seriously." Comments. Keep doing your thing, collect whatever makes *you* happy and forget about what the rest has to say. If they like it, fine. If they don't, try not to care. Easier said than done, I know, yet it is possible! Keep it up! Small edit: I can relate far better to a collection with a person behind it, than to a "complete" one. The story of the first type is far more interesting.
"The story of the first type" is that how you say it in English? I know you say "the latter" if you mean the last thing. But the one prior? I asked this myself yesterday, so I wondered what's grammatically correct.
@@nowonmetube Most use the word Former when referring to the first of two previous stated words/phrased. But I can understand what Matzen meant. They meant the story of the first type "of person" is more interesting. Thats another thing odd in english is that if a certain word or phrase can be understood to be there even if not written you dont have to put it there. It confuses non english speakers as those who learn english natively get used to works missing but being understood to be there.
100% agreed but a complete one can have an great reason behind it as well not saying thats the case all the time but it is possible. my aim for a complete vita set has a reason as well. not to brag or something but because its my swan sung at least what modern game is concerned after the vita and 3ds I am out. there will be retro left ofcourse but modern gaming is dead for me. and since the vita has verry little shovelware (till lrg etc came around and releasing some verry crapy games) is dieble with the amount of games and some other reasons I decided to go for it.
When you're in the collecting game for long enough you just learn to ignore those kinds of elitists within the community. I used to be pretty active in a few forums and it just got old after a while. Now I rarely interact with many collectors outside of some local guys and the occasional online trade or sale. Some people take their "fun" too seriously and think everyone else should do things the exact same way that they do them. I'm not that person nor do I have much inclination to interact with those types of people anymore.
@@memnarch129 @nowonmetube That is exactly what I meant, the first "type of collector". Although English grammar has never been one of my strong assets, I get along quite well.

Thanks for this cool collection video. I love it. I’d much rather see collections like this featuring weird, rare and quirky stuff instead of the usual “look at my NES collection” videos we see on TH-cam.
@@chaikagaz no other reason to own one? What about all the mobile pc ports (luftrausers, risk of rain, i am the hero, etc). If you have anything retro or from your childhood then your collections is way better then most lol. I have to confine my "collection" to roms after losing all my stuff from moving so much as a kid. Mad respect for physical collectors like you.
@McTurbo1300 Her husband hasn't posted any either. Really doubt that's it. Her videos just take a lot of time and she has more important things to worry about.
I find the weird non-game related peripherals pretty fascinating. I’m far more interested in seeing a PS2 stapler or a Game Boy sewing machine than I am just a bunch of games. A lot of fun potential content for your channel would be demoing and talking about some of the cool weird peripherals in your collection.
I read that as "Game Boy Sexting Machine" and immediately went to Google. It didn't even strike me as odd because of AVGN's video on Game Boy accessories.
Both Kelsey and MetalJ are both knowledgeable and personable. I very much enjoy watching you both. I'm not into collecting but your videos are a retro gamer's haven, much better than Wikipedia! Also, if commenters think Kelsey isn't a real 'collector', maybe they should watch her shop tours!
I love your collection. I'm primarily a retro collector and I sometimes get negative comments about the quantity of titles I'm showing so I can really relate. I don't tend to show off or buy common games, unless I want to play them - same as you. It would be really easy to have a huge collection if you just buy a bunch of things that everyone has, but the point in collecting, for me at least, is to have things worth having. It's easy to have 20 copies of Super Mario Bros or Super Mario 3, they were pack-in titles; I don't think it makes a collection better to show those things. I have tons of duplicates due to buying old sale boxes from yard sales and flea markets and such, but if I show any of those titles, it will be just 1 copy. I have more than 10 copies of Legend of Zelda in gold, but my shelf only has 1 gray cart, because they are unusual. For me, a much bigger point of contention is that for my NES/SNES/64 titles, I don't have any boxes, it's all just the carts. Everyone hates that so much! I like complete games, boxes, manuals, it's cool. But more important to me is the game itself, so that's what I personally collect. Don't let people get you down over size and especially common titles, you have limited space, and you're collecting the things that YOU want to collect, and that's what really matters.
Quality over quantity. Thousands of titles of questionable quality would not be as good as a collection of a few hundred great games imho......nice room, Kelsey! :)
This! I actually kind of prefer having a smaller collection of stuff I actually like as opposed to just collecting for the sake of it. For instance, I was a Sega kid...so I have a lot of Sega Stuff in my collection...but I don't really have the need to go out of my way to collect everything. I'd rather just collect stuff I like or have nostalgia for then try to get everything.
UrbanaSupernovA Also let’s look at the sentence “A thousand games is a small collection.” If that’s not objectively a wrong statement immediately to someone they should admit themselves to a middle school and revoke their adult license. They’re clearly too stupid and need training on what basic math is.
I only buy games that I love to play and only have a handful of games. I see no reason to spend money on games Im not gonna even play cause they suck... Thats for those hardcore collectors that collect for the sake of collecting. But its like collecting say matchboxes without any real value to them just for the sake of collecting. Thats called hoarding.
I love how you collect the weird quirky stuff that's not like "every other collector out there", and that's what makes it fun! Nice collection through and through!
This was one of the most fun and best Game Tour videos I've seen! You go into a lot of great detail about what you have, and don't rush anything. Your passion oozes out as you speak! Awesome Video!
Man, Kelsey is such a down to earth person! At least Kelsey collects what SHE enjoys and what she wants not an addiction tells her to! I mean, people saying over 1000 games aren't many? What the heck 😆 Also she uploads her videos whenever she feels like, not when someone pressurized her too. She doesn't even set ads! She does it, because she enjoys doing it. And I think that's what it's all about.
I'd say your collection is pretty massive, I guess there's a lot of crazy huge collection videos on TH-cam so people expect that now? Your collection actually made me feel better about my own, I thought it was getting a bit out of hand but by comparison it's not as big as yours. I feel like I might be getting to a point where I nearly have everything I want to own, so that's something! Anyway, an impressive collection with lots of interesting oddities, thanks for sharing!
I just started collecting about a year ago and me and my family just moved to a new house and I can finally get a game room ( even thought I still have to share it with my brother) and I finally got a shelf to display all my games and although it’s only one shelf that is not even full I still love waking up and seeing all my games. Since I’m just a kid it is hard to make money so my small amount of games makes me proud because I know that I bought them with my own money.
Hey Kelsey! I saw you in Game Informer this month and just wanted to say thank you for what you are doing in preserving gaming history! You’re awesome!
It's about quality and heart over size of a collection. 1000+ games is not a small collection either. I loved seeing the unique items in the game room. Love seeing what makes other gamers tick.
You can catch her frequently on the MinnMax channel and she used be a host the Video Game History Hour podcast! I haven't seen her personal channel before until she mentioned it on an interview on MinnMax recently
Very nice collection, it is not about quantity it is all about what you love and what you play. I do collect too but I only collect what I play or previously played in the past having value for me. Well done.
same here. I sold many of my older games back in the day and gave my N64 to my niece and nephew. But am still gathering the games I am missing from my childhood.
I love all the random weird stuff you have! I don't have a general games collection just because I tend to not buy stuff I don't actively play, but I am a HUGE Metal Gear Solid fan, so I have a huge Metal Gear collection. All the games of course, as well as figures, other random stuff and even some of the consumables such as a Calorie Mate from MGS3.
Very true. Sadly, it's not easy here in England, UK. The only good way outside of America and Japan would be imports direct from Japan and not everybody does/can do imports.
That’s an awesome collection! I only just started trying to collect stuff in like 2020, but seeing this collection is honestly super inspiring. …and also more than a little jealous.
Very nice collection thanks for sharing. I quit hard core collecting about 10 years ago and sold 99% of what I accumulated since 1978 and tend to stick with and play the current systems and games and emu the older stuff.
This comment made me genuinely curious about what exactly that game is, so I tried just Googling the name but got nothing but memes as a result. This made me even more curious, so instead, I Googled the serial number on the spine (BLUS - 30244). Imagine my surprise when Google told me that serial number belongs to the PS3 version of Sonic Unleashed. Here's a link to the cover art where you can see the same 4 letter/5 digit serial on its spine. info.sonicretro.org/images/f/f2/Unleashed_box_PS3_us.jpg This goes deep, guys.
I don't know how anyone could be 'disappointed' in your collection. This was one of the best collection videos I've seen. Why? Because it is truly unique. I've seen ones where people have 'the complete north American collection' and something about it just felt sterile. This at least has life. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Kelsey I'm from Australia so all PAL here. Great to see your collection very impressive, I have just over 500 games and 20 or 30 consoles, I did have heaps of hand held's but sold most of them off, mostly because hard to get parts for some of them, I kept a few but mostly i like to collect the big consoles, your collection is amazing makes mine seem small now. cant wait to see more of your video's.
Yeah, get some losers to work for you for minimum wage doing all the work while you do nothing because you're a semi-attractive nerd girl on TH-cam, seems to work out well for these assholes.

Sorry what happen to your store, I never knew that was broken in before . I wish everyone involved to heal and much happiness looking forward. Take care
We miss you. I just saw on Reddit where Pink Gorilla Games has been the target of attacks and vandalism recently…I came here to check and see if there were any updates on it. I’m sorry you guys have to deal with that. I wish you the best.
yeah, now that is what I really lie about youtube shares, when its stuff I had no idea about either and I can do follow up searches to learn more about it, Kelsey's done videos on some of that stuff too, like the blood tester and the sewing machine
i never understood why some people put down or talk crap about other people's collections. theres no point in that. go out and enjoy gaming however it is that you want to enjoy it. i have a small collection at about 200. and i love it so far. im not going mostly for any particular collection or whatever sets. i have been given most of them or the few i want to get and enjoy. or games i found cheap and thought it looked fun. and im into other hobbies and enjoy other stuff. enjoy what you want and how you want. as long as your happy and having fun with it. thats all that matters. no need for any negativity in it!
"Rez Trance Vibrator." Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah! That's a pretty rare accessory and it's cool that you own one of them. Nice collection, Kelsey! And man, I can't believe people scoff at 1000+ collections.
Anyone else think, at least for a moment, when she opened that door she was going to be buried in an avalanche of Nintendo DS handhelds of every type and color? I love that I kept noticing Bomberman games in your collection. I currently only own 3 games: Super Bomberman 2, Mega Bomberman, and Saturn Bomberman, but I have an uncle who had a Turbografx 16 when I was a kid who had Bomberman 93 so I've played 4 and think it's such an underrated series, but I beamed with delight at seeing Lunar 2: Eternal Blue. That's a series I'm hoping one day to have complete collection. Currently I've got both PS1 games (with everything), all 3 soundtracks, and the Saturn versions of both games. Just need the PSP remake, the Sega CD originals (that's going to take awhile) and guide books. One day.
This is fantastic! We absolutely adore all the oddball things you have; we love that you share those and spread the knowledge of the things people likely have never heard of! That's so great! We're right there with you on trying to find space for all the Amiibo--it hurts...it really hurts. lol Whoo!! We're part of the Amiibo Kiosk Club too!!! Collector's Editions can be so touch to collect for... Aw man, that Pikachu N64...I gave that away, long ago, to a friend simply because he liked Pokemon...d'oh... The cheap plastic drawers are a good call; before we had the space for a proper game room, we used these exclusively to hold a console and its connectors & wires. It made it incredibly easy to pull out a Genesis drawer when that's what somebody wanted to play, it save space, and it kept everything together.
The hair bow is super cute. Loving your Japanese centric collection. Im pretty proud of my new Final Fantasy I and 2 Wonderswan boxed consoles I got way back when .
I got halfway through and was beginning to wonder where the Animal Crossing shrine was.... and then it appeared. The "oddities" in your collection are great and what makes it your collection and not a replica of anyone elses.
I can't believe the WonderSwan released a dev. kit, that's so cool. Watched you show off the system on a MJR video and I was impressed by what players had developed utilizing the kit.

Love your collection! Weird/quirky stuff are the friggin coolest and I totally agree with that philosophy! Hope it continues to bring you joy!
It's about quality and heart over size of a collection. 1000+ games is not a small collection either. I loved seeing the unique items in the game room. Love seeing what makes other gamers tick.
seriously, be proud of your collections. whether its literally a few consoles and games... be proud! :)
She should be proud of that chest
Damn, Kelsey. You're gonna need a bigger house. Also, that Rez vibrator is one of the most hilarious peripherals, only in Japan...
I love the persona take your heart edition! Mine is complete but without the sleeve and that upsets me cuz it looks so coooooolllll!!!!!! 🤩
I would love to watch and listen to you talk about games all day.
I just discovered her, guess she doesn’t make content anymore, she’s great, hope she decides to come back.
Where did Kelsey go? 😢
You can catch her frequently on the MinnMax channel and she used be a host the Video Game History Hour podcast! I haven't seen her personal channel before until she mentioned it on an interview on MinnMax recently
Whats her acccount name then.?@AlexSeibel
Very nice collection, it is not about quantity it is all about what you love and what you play. I do collect too but I only collect what I play or previously played in the past having value for me. Well done.
same here. I sold many of my older games back in the day and gave my N64 to my niece and nephew. But am still gathering the games I am missing from my childhood.
And just like that, she was gone, never to be seen again..
I miss dat bih
Collecting is about personal interest, not a competition, and this is easily one of the most interesting collections around.
1:05 -- Wonder Borg? That's the most friendly-soundly name for The Borg Collective I've ever heard.
guess you're too young to remember the show beetle borgs. think power rangers.
@@tonyb7615 Too old, actually :P Those shows were after my time. I'm an 80s kid.
I remember BJÖRN BORG ! (the tennis player). But,i´m 49 and swedish so..
Was super excited when I got my Supervision. Only ever got 3 games.
The Super Famicom is such an underrated console to collect, love your collection! Quality over Quantity
12:41 "Big Chungus 2: Return of Chungus"
I'm sorry. WHAT?!
Brinzaboy Cultural
She is a woman of culture
This comment made me genuinely curious about what exactly that game is, so I tried just Googling the name but got nothing but memes as a result. This made me even more curious, so instead, I Googled the serial number on the spine (BLUS - 30244). Imagine my surprise when Google told me that serial number belongs to the PS3 version of Sonic Unleashed.
Here's a link to the cover art where you can see the same 4 letter/5 digit serial on its spine.

This goes deep, guys.
The Chungus thing is a joke by her fiancé and is just a custom box. He snuck it in as a gag
@@Fridgebone Thanks for the lore. I had a suspicion it was just custom box art.
2:52 imagine how crazy toy story must be in her house.
Kick ass tour Kelsey!!! Thanks for sharing! Cheers!
I love that you're a handheld game collector. Portable games have ended up being the majority of my collection over the years
Great collection! Love that you appreciate the history of how we got to where we are at!!
I love your collection. You have so many of what I collect also. I am only 2 games away from a complete sailor moon set.
YES you opened your Amiibos! Good look!!! Real tired of seeing figures in original packege.
Awesome game room I’m a big fan of the WonderSwan too.
🤩🤩🤩 amazing collection. I love the quirky stuff 👍
Oh my gosh, it must be really hard not to collect every game that comes your way, considering the fact that you own a game store.
Depends if it is an xbox system those things are worthless most of the time.
@@benjaminbenjamin8392 Random hater.
That’s the trick !
Yeah, get some losers to work for you for minimum wage doing all the work while you do nothing because you're a semi-attractive nerd girl on TH-cam, seems to work out well for these assholes.
Fantastic room tour, Thankyou for showing us around 👍❤️
10 or 10 000 a collector is a collector slowly working towards the ultimate selection the best suites them ! Be proud of this beautiful collection you have !
Sorry what happen to your store, I never knew that was broken in before . I wish everyone involved to heal and much happiness looking forward. Take care
I could never own a game store. I'd go bankrupt. "Oooo this is great. MINE! Ooooo I could use a 3rd copy of this, just in case"
I Love your Game room!!!! It's just as sweet as you ;) Wait, this video was done 6 months ago!? I want to see more!! Make some new ones please.
And now half of this collection belongs to The Codester!
Your collection is very personal! It speaks a lot about you and your unique taste for rare items I have not seen in other collections!
Stay Awesome ✌️
We miss you. I just saw on Reddit where Pink Gorilla Games has been the target of attacks and vandalism recently…I came here to check and see if there were any updates on it. I’m sorry you guys have to deal with that. I wish you the best.
Thanks to you and metal jesus o feel like I gotta start my own now thank you guys for the inspiration 💚
Super Nintendo. Sega Genesis.
When I was dead broke, man, couldn't picture this.
50 inch screen money green leather sofa
TOON!
I didn't know half the stuff existed. Thanks for sharing
yeah, now that is what I really lie about youtube shares, when its stuff I had no idea about either and I can do follow up searches to learn more about it, Kelsey's done videos on some of that stuff too, like the blood tester and the sewing machine
I want to thank you for the import ideas. I just got into imports. I love your enthusiasm.
i never understood why some people put down or talk crap about other people's collections. theres no point in that. go out and enjoy gaming however it is that you want to enjoy it. i have a small collection at about 200. and i love it so far. im not going mostly for any particular collection or whatever sets. i have been given most of them or the few i want to get and enjoy. or games i found cheap and thought it looked fun. and im into other hobbies and enjoy other stuff. enjoy what you want and how you want. as long as your happy and having fun with it. thats all that matters. no need for any negativity in it!
Very well said
Im currently starting a collection of playstation 2 games and very soon playstation 3 games
@@marlingames112 my ps1-3 games get played alot during the week. i try to play a game every night when i get home from work.
@@nrood3821 I have been playing ratchet and clank and star wars a lot on ps2
"Delightful weird stuff" nuff said. Loved it.
"Rez Trance Vibrator." Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah!
That's a pretty rare accessory and it's cool that you own one of them.
Nice collection, Kelsey! And man, I can't believe people scoff at 1000+ collections.
Rubber bands will eventually melt into the rubber on your cables. I recommend velcro cable ties
The "oddities" in your collection are great and what makes it your collection and not a replica of anyone elses.
now, using that locic, i have the right to scrape.
junk is everywhere, until when you are looking for it
can we talk?
Your collection is amazing, damn. Absolutely wonderful!
Great collection Kelsey! I don't collect videogames myself but it's always nice to hear someone being passionate about something they collect!
I can't believe the WonderSwan released a dev. kit, that's so cool. Watched you show off the system on a MJR video and I was impressed by what players had developed utilizing the kit.
its been 2 years what happened?
Awesome collections and very nice game room. Congrats !
Thanks for sharing.
Greetings from France.
Thanks for taking the time to show us. Cheers
This will be a gold mine in 50 years.
Hella nice collection dude! Enjoyed the video. I look forward to seeing the others.
