I have visited both Bangkok and KL. The public transportation system is really terrible in Bangkok. I was dropped out in the halfway or called for a much higher price by the taxi drivers in the center of Bangkok just because of you are a foreigner. In KL, that never happened to me.
yes agree. My experiences with the few KL Taxi drivers was very agreeable. They drive well, are industrious, friendly and very few will try and cheat you -and if so not for that much compared to avarious Thailand
sorry fo that bad taxi, I'm Thai also hate those taxi, Thai people actuall hate Taxi Meter because they alway reject customer because of the place we will go has traffic jam, so many of Bangkok people call Uber or Grab because of the service is much better, no cheating, i suggest you better use BTS or MRT are very efficient clean and fast, in next 3 years those BTS and MRT will spread to all over Bangkok, I hope that time too ^_^

I'm Thai, I agree with Drew Binsky. In term of cleaniless and infrastructure,KL win BKK definitely. I admire KL in term of the orgazied street, well maintained foothpath, greenery of city and wireless road. BKK has to improve a lot for these things. For thing to do ,BKK has a lot of things and secret places that hidden around the city. In 5 years the many mrt or monorail or skytrain in BKk will be completed You will be easy to explore BKK.
Im from Malaysia and this is what i love about Thailand. They always humble and had no hard feeling if people compare their country with Malaysia. By the way Thailand is the best destination for travellers to stay. I love Thailand
I am Malaysian and went to Bangkok for a week in November 2012. We live in a hotel near Sukhumvit. Yes. Bangkok is a very big city with so many things to explore. However, the traffic jammed is unbearable. Bangkok need to improve that. Good luck Bangkok. Love Thailand from Malaysia.
@@kompuleiompekboleh9266 BKK is too large and more crowded, we have to take alot of effort to solve many problems, and KL is good to be model for BKK. Now the traffic in BKk may be worse due to megaproject that the government built 6 mrt,lrt line and monorail line(yellow line, pink line, red line, blue line extension, orange line, green line extension total 200+ km ) on main road simulteneously. people complain about it ,but everyone hope in 5-8 years ahead it will be better.
well at least KL have less prostitute & ladyboys compare to bangkok there are everywhere in the corner.... well at least all the girls in kl are original female
@@ASBMUHAMMADNABIL Actually Singapore is not better than Malaysia. Singaporeans cross the bridge every weekend just to visit Malaysia. They have more freedom and relaxation there and the cities in Malaysia are modern and well developed. In Singapore there is very little tourist spots to visit and great food to eat, compared with Malaysia.
If u heard cars honking in bkk means they’re asking another driver to make way for them. In malaysia, if u heard car honking, it means both drivers arguing cause one try to overtake another or one didn’t turn his indicator light on if turning somewhere. Im Malaysian btw.
Just my observations 1 Bangkok is the administrative capital but KL is not since the Malaysian capital shifted to Putrajaya. Both are financial capitals though 2 Bangkok is a much bigger city than KL, so it makes sense that there more things to do there I do enjoy both cities
Meta Xylene true, KL doesn’t have to be as big as BKK because Malaysia has a couple more cities that have a metro population of more than 1 million. Thailand on the other hand, only has Bangkok, and elsewhere you go will just be towns, unless you consider Chiang Mai to be its next biggest city
actually bkk area is treated as province.that's why you see it bigger.actually for the same area development kl/klang valley area is much more developed.
anas sohail yup, n u will said KL is more fun than SG because SG is small af n also full of stone building. I call it as stone island. Btw, i love SG too. I go to SG for selfie n walking here n there. But to live there, hell no. Expensive n nothing much to do.
@@anassohail7347 Yes Malaysia dirty but every weekend all a Singaporean getting out to a Malaysia for a fun.. Because Singapore so pack like a Sardine in a can.. 😂😂😂 no more space 😂😂😂 the small island getting packed up!! 😂😂😂
There are many things to do actually but it is not concentrarted to the KL city center.... you can find things to do in the area around KL 15 min to 1 hour drive from KL... You can hike in Templer Park, Alang Sedayu, Bukit Tabur, Bukit Broga.... You can go up the mountains to Genting Highlands (casino and Theme Park)...... Hot Springs in Sungkai, Bentong, Setapak...... Sunway Lagoon (water theme park,).... then there is Putrajaya......also have you been to Istana Negara both the old and new ?
The Twin Towers of KL is definitely beautiful, but Bangkok has Maha Nakhon and Baiyoke sky tower. Each city has its own beautiful skyline, but yea I have to agree that KL wins in that part. The street vendors of Bangkok makes the city more alive whereas KL seems more of a generic city, so I agree that Bangkok wins in entertainment, also, account that Malaysia is an Islamic country so nightlife might not be as vibrant as Bangkok. Generally speaking, Bangkok feeds off of tourism while KL is more business related
Malaysia is NOT an Islamic country...we are a secular country with Muslim as a majority.. not to forget that Malaysia has the TOP 15 biggest Casino in the world
I agree with you on the people category. I’m Thai and at school, I have to help my friends in class learn English because people think I’m the best at speaking English. There aren’t many people in Thailand who can speak English as well as Native Speakers. I also agree with all the other categories. But the people category is what I think I agree with most.
About 2 million malaysian still have thai connection. About 1 million thais working and operate tomyam restaurants in malaysia. We are solidified and cross cultures of two nations.
I'm from Thailand and have been living in KL for yrs. I would say KL is much better in terms of living but Bangkok is more appealing for a short visit.
I don't know ,but I am sure that the Chinese prefer Thailand ,if you ask Muslims they will like Malaysia because of lifestyle. but the experience will answer you where you live for long time .
not only lifestyle. They are much more comfortable in KL which has a high perc entage of muslims living there and consequently the Malaysians are very tolerant people. Many admire Israel on the quiet and major bookshops in Many stock many books on Israel; its history & wars.
Err Drew... the reason why we have so many flags is bc the Independence Day thats just ard the corner. I believe Thai people and everyone in the world love their country as much as we do.

Love both cities - I think Bangkok is more fun, and KL is more calm. In the end both have loads of visitors - Bangkok (20 million from all over, #1 in the world), KL (15 million, mostly from Singapore, #7 in the world).
I love both places but i did enjoy KL better and there is actually a lot more to do than what you'd expect from drew's video. Try to visit all the Klang Valley and Putrajaya to compare with Bangkok as a whole. It is not fair to compare KL CBD only with the whole city of Bangkok. Then you know the uniqueness of This city have especially the food. Eventhough our nightlife is not on party and beers, everybody can join in the KL night life scenes and do any activity they want freely such as eating, shopping, clubbing, busking and can be join by young and old with many different ethnicities and religions around the world without anyone being left out. We also have tremendous Mosques, temples and shrines that u haven't explore yet. The bird park, zoo, science exhibition, visit one of the biggest mall in the world oneutama, hiking at Bukit Tabur, city view from the top of Bukit ampang, Genting Highlands where there a temple, mall and a casino on top of the mountain and etc.
I am Japanese. I used to live in both KL & Bangkok. I think You can not compare Bangkok which has 10 million ppl living with KL which has 1.8 million ppl living. KL has much lesser population almost 10 times compare to Bangkok. Thats why Bangkok has more chaos especially Traffics. Thai food is wonderful which I prefer more than Malay food. However KL is much cleaner because KL is much smaller than Bangkok in size & population. Over all, for me I prefer Bangkok but a bit than KL because it has more fun & strong beautiful culture. It also has skytrain & subway you can go everywhere easily too.

They drive well, are industrious, friendly and very few will try and cheat you -and if so not for that much compared to avarious Thailand
sorry fo that bad taxi, I'm Thai also hate those taxi, Thai people actuall hate Taxi Meter because they alway reject customer because of the place we will go has traffic jam, so many of Bangkok people call Uber or Grab because of the service is much better, no cheating, i suggest you better use BTS or MRT are very efficient clean and fast, in next 3 years those BTS and MRT will spread to all over Bangkok, I hope that time too ^_^
To be fair, KL has her own share of scamming taxi drivers.

@@kompuleiompekboleh9266 BKK is too large and more crowded, we have to take alot of effort to solve many problems, and KL is good to be model for BKK.

1 Bangkok is the administrative capital but KL is not since the Malaysian capital shifted to Putrajaya. Both are financial capitals though
2 Bangkok is a much bigger city than KL, so it makes sense that there more things to do there
I do enjoy both cities
Meta Xylene true, KL doesn’t have to be as big as BKK because Malaysia has a couple more cities that have a metro population of more than 1 million. Thailand on the other hand, only has Bangkok, and elsewhere you go will just be towns, unless you consider Chiang Mai to be its next biggest city
Lol kl is capital lol just that over population in kl made putrajaya
Greater KL is 2200km²
actually bkk area is treated as province.that's why you see it bigger.actually for the same area development kl/klang valley area is much more developed.
