But if you after girls and night life, than choice is clearly Bangkok.. I been in Kuala Lumpur for 1.5 months and 2 weeks in Bangkok, Phuket i stayed 3 months in total.

KL or Bangkok. Well, you can have them both. Both cities have their own attractions, vibes, charm and beauty, the people and their food, art and culture.
To answer to your question, have I been to KL or Bangkok, yes. But I've only been to Bangkok once, just for a few days stay, no sky train back then in new year 1996, so I don't really enjoy the traffic jam going to places. I had been living and working in KL for almost 5 decades, and see the changes from decade to decade, so with that experience, I love KL much more. The only other capitals I've been to in Southeast Asia are Singapore and Jakarta, few times each. The only other capitals that I've visited are Delhi and Madrid.
I chose KL because it is convenient for traveling to other Asian nations, is close to Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia, has high-quality facilities, and is reasonably priced.
Have not been to either place. TL would be first, the videos that you make help sell both places very well. Dany, keep having fun as you travel and stay young.
Hands down Malaysia far more better, the food, language, accommodation, transportation, cleaness, More developed the only downside for people who drink 🍻 is expensive because it's taxed
If you want to experience the real KL life like the locals, u got to move out from the city and live in the residential area. One of the places I would recommend is Kota Damansara, not only it's one of the famous areas, the highlight is there are thousands of restaurants in Kota Damansara particularly if you are a fan of Chinese food. If you try a restaurant a day, it might take you 2-3 years to visit. And it's quite near to the largest mall in Malaysia- One Utama. Basically, you do not need to travel to KL for years if you are living in that area.

While "VIETNAM INVESTMENT REVIEW", Indonesia "TEMPO", VnExpressInternational, Masahable SEA, SeaAsia and a few more named Malaysia as no 1 most visited country in 2023, but many more bestowed Thailand as the champion. Do not stress yourself over choices you don't have to make. Just stay in Penang, right in the middle. It's only a few hours down south and you're already in KL for clean family fun. Travel a few hours up north you'll get to Bangkok for vibrant, party and naughty lightlife. Take the train both ways. It is fun, convenient and super affordable.

Hi. It depends on what you want to do. Do you want city/ sightseeing only or do you want mountains or beach? It also depends how long you'll be travelling. If city only, both cities are almost equal & with convenient transport options. If you want city + beach, then do BKK + Pattaya or Hua Hin. If city + mountains, then KL + Genting Highlands or Cameron Highlands. Cost of BKK & KL are roughly the same, but will depend on your activities & lifestyle.
It's actually uncomparable in some sense. KL is only one-seventh of Bangkok in terms of size. The population of BKK is like almost half the whole population of Malaysian exluding more than 10 million foreign workers in Thailand mostly in Bangkok Metropolitan (Burmese alone accounts for 6.8 million).
If SE Asia were a country, and these are its major cities, it would be a wonderful country. Try visiting its 2nd cities, Jogja, Penang, Cebu, Chiang Mai, Danang and JB across from S'pore, you would experience a different vibe. Imagine driving thousand of kilometers on the 4-6 lane highways in Borneo, Sumatra, the Malay Peninsula from S'pore to Bkk. And one day in the future crossing Vietnam or cruising from Bangkok to HCM on similar highways/dual carriageways. Wonderful experience.
Same. You will not want to leave your hotel room unless you need to go to the mall for clean (?) food. That's what I felt... Chaos (BKK) and homelessness (KL)
I lives in bangkok Never goes to any party and I could enjoy my life with cozy vibe much of the time. Bangkok are just much more diversity depends on which life you want to live
I’ve been to Bangkok twice and love it, but I’ve been looking at KL as a 4 night stop over, where would you recommend to stay (hotel) and also would you recommend Langkawi as a beach resort?
Those who prefer " exotic interesting nite Life..." probably Bangkok@ Thailand...is their better choice...but those who prefer peacefulness , better 'air quality' less chaotic probably prefer to live in KL...but spend weekends in Bangkok 😂
Bangkok is far superior. It's not even a debate. Bangkok is the only true World City in all of Southeast Asia, even more so than Singapore. KL is a joke in comparison.
Bangkok is not the most visited country in the world for nothing. For me these 2 countries cannot compare.👍👍👍👍👍👍 And Bangkok is much more modern and everything are much more available. Not even talk about foods that much more famous and more than 10+ traditional dishes that listed in the top 10 most delicious foods in the world and also you could find most famous food from another countries in the wotld too as there are more than 70,000+ restaurants in Bangkok alone not included street vendors and more than 200,000+ restaurants in all of Thailand that included all foods from around the world.

And Malaysia is the most visited country for foreign travel in 2023 (29 mil) overtake Thailand (28mil). 🤔
Which fact did you found tho 💀
Kuala Lumper never come cross to Bangkok.

Second Paris (19.10mil)
Third London (19.09)
Kuala Lumper even under Singapore

While "VIETNAM INVESTMENT REVIEW", Indonesia "TEMPO", VnExpressInternational, Masahable SEA, SeaAsia and a few more named Malaysia as no 1 most visited country in 2023, but many more bestowed Thailand as the champion. I think the confusion arose because of the categories, where the comparison was done between cities of Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok and there was also a comparison between countries Malaysia and Thailand. The result can be different in both categories
Malaysia has a population 33 million people, but the country has Number of tourists visiting Thailand Almost 40 million people More than 7-8 million people

true, big cities all have water by the city - bangkok / singapore / hk / london / sydney / shanghai / new york etc.

Hands down... Kuala Lumpur!

Any suggestions for good monthly rental in penang? And we what about Borneo - have you been there?
Betul ke a few hours up north sampai Bangkok? Sebut macam ni buat orang Malaysia nampak macam bodoh tak tahu apa-apa....😂😂
Everything is the best except Kuala Lumpur which I chose because of the beautiful buildings, tall and easy to move where you want to go and the food has a variety of flavors and is delicious...
Amazing visual! But how on earth do you stay so composed walking through crowds of people and stay on topic? I'd be so self-conscious!
Glad I found you! Liked and subbed. Dealing with this dilemma at the moment. Need to hire 5 locals as remote workers. Any thoughts on the work ethics of MY or TH? Can't wait to see your other vids.👍
Single, "adventurous" and into the social & party scene, go to bangkok. With Family, less interested in party scene, less hectic, want to chill go to KL.
There are many places for family in Bangkok, actually it’s more than the party scenes. It’s just some people focus more on the party.
Young people typically prefers Bangkok bcs there’s more energy there. Older ppl tends to choose Malaysia bcs the chillness and slow paced environment. If you go to east coast malaysia, it’s even more chill there.
Where do you recommend in the the east coast? And how about Borneo?

Can you book an apartment at Star Residences for 1 month? Is it affordable or should I go for an AirBnb?
Did you find out yet? I'm looking for the same info. Airbnb is always more expensive so any alternate is preferable if available
Most airbnb above rm200 should be good enough. If you want nicer view and vibe in the center maybe around rm400++
*The rate is per day
Hello guys.. i'm from India. Please suggest me one for my honeymoon trip. Malaysia or Thailand.. I'm confusing..😮
You should compare Klang Valley which includes Greater KL. That's almost 9 mil people.
Where do you get your data from? Provide source please. Because the last time i check (2020 data), migrant workers in Thailand is around 3 millions
Don't look at the official city size as the actual size of Kuala Lumpur is much bigger than that..
Msia only with population 32 mils, far better n hv some space to breadth n cleaner environment😊
How can you rank the major cities of SEA overall from better to least
Jakarta🇮🇩, KL,🇲🇾 Manila🇵🇭, Singapore🇸🇬, Bangkok🇹🇭, and Hochiminh🇻🇳
If SE Asia were a country, and these are its major cities, it would be a wonderful country.
Try visiting its 2nd cities, Jogja, Penang, Cebu, Chiang Mai, Danang and JB across from S'pore, you would experience a different vibe.
Imagine driving thousand of kilometers on the 4-6 lane highways in Borneo, Sumatra, the Malay Peninsula from S'pore to Bkk. And one day in the future crossing Vietnam or cruising from Bangkok to HCM on similar highways/dual carriageways. Wonderful experience.
Yes, indeed they were all from the same stock, only different in race n religion😊
First would be Singapore.
The least would be Ho chi Minh.
I agree with the others. KL for living, BKK for travelling or tourism. Have visited both several times. I think KL is more peaceful & less chaotic.
Nice place, definetly should visit once in a life time even though for a week tour which would be remarkable. (My Experience)
Same. You will not want to leave your hotel room unless you need to go to the mall for clean (?) food. That's what I felt... Chaos (BKK) and homelessness (KL)
I don't know which one is the best but i know I like your handsome face 😻😻😻
where is the best for night life, happening things & shopping?
bkk more party, kl more homely.

Bangkok is not the most visited country in the world for nothing.
For me these 2 countries cannot compare.👍👍👍👍👍👍
And Bangkok is much more modern and everything are much more available.
Everybody knows why people come to bangkok. Certainly not for shopping, food or temple attractions 😂

It's more than 40 millions tourists came to Bangkok just per year from all over the entire world and you still trying to be rude by talking about the lower part , I really wonder where you from??
And Bangkok is the most visited country in the world and it's very funny that the country that come here the most I means the country that come to visit Bangkok the most in 2024 is "Malaysian" and they came here more than 2+ millions just per year just right after the pandemic while very rare Thai people go to Malaysia or talking ng about Malaysia.
And that's why I said Thailand and Malaysia cannot really compare, because the population of the Malaysian people that came here to travel in Thailand NO.1 in the world are already a proved. While Thai people we no need to travel there to Malaysia because we have it all.
Fact: Malaysia has become the most visited country in Southeast Asia throughout 2023, according to VN Express International. The country received close to 29 million tourists last year. In 2023, Thailand ranked second with more than 28 million foreign tourists, followed by Singapore which recorded 13.6 million foreign tourists. Vietnam held fourth position with 12.6 million visitors, while Indonesia noted 11.7 million arrivals.
Both Phillippines and Cambodia pulled around 5.4 million foreign visitors in 2023.
In conclusion, Kuala Lumpur is more popular than Bangkok 🤗
