KL or Bangkok. Well, you can have them both. Both cities have their own attractions, vibes, charm and beauty, the people and their food, art and culture.
To answer to your question, have I been to KL or Bangkok, yes. But I've only been to Bangkok once, just for a few days stay, no sky train back then in new year 1996, so I don't really enjoy the traffic jam going to places. I had been living and working in KL for almost 5 decades, and see the changes from decade to decade, so with that experience, I love KL much more. The only other capitals I've been to in Southeast Asia are Singapore and Jakarta, few times each. The only other capitals that I've visited are Delhi and Madrid.
If you want to experience the real KL life like the locals, u got to move out from the city and live in the residential area. One of the places I would recommend is Kota Damansara, not only it's one of the famous areas, the highlight is there are thousands of restaurants in Kota Damansara particularly if you are a fan of Chinese food. If you try a restaurant a day, it might take you 2-3 years to visit. And it's quite near to the largest mall in Malaysia- One Utama. Basically, you do not need to travel to KL for years if you are living in that area.

While "VIETNAM INVESTMENT REVIEW", Indonesia "TEMPO", VnExpressInternational, Masahable SEA, SeaAsia and a few more named Malaysia as no 1 most visited country in 2023, but many more bestowed Thailand as the champion. By far Kuala Lumpur is ahead. Safest and you don't deal on a daily basis with people trying to scam you like a naive tourist in Bangkok. It's exhausting.
I’ve been to Bangkok twice and love it, but I’ve been looking at KL as a 4 night stop over, where would you recommend to stay (hotel) and also would you recommend Langkawi as a beach resort?
BECAUSE LOCAL PEOPLE IN MALAYSIA NOT ACTUALLY VIBING IN CENTER OF KL. TRY TO EXPLORE MORE PLACES AROUND KL WHICH IS IN SELANGOR, DAMANSARA, PETALING JAYA, BANGSAR AND SO ON, THERE SO MUCH VIBES TO YOUNG PEOPLE AROUND THERE. BUT OF COURSE IF YOU WANT TO COMPARED WITH BANGKOK BECAUSE THEY ARE LARGER COUNTRY AND LARGER CITY COMPARED WITH KL JUST A SMALL COUNTRY
If SE Asia were a country, and these are its major cities, it would be a wonderful country. Try visiting its 2nd cities, Jogja, Penang, Cebu, Chiang Mai, Danang and JB across from S'pore, you would experience a different vibe. Imagine driving thousand of kilometers on the 4-6 lane highways in Borneo, Sumatra, the Malay Peninsula from S'pore to Bkk. And one day in the future crossing Vietnam or cruising from Bangkok to HCM on similar highways/dual carriageways. Wonderful experience.
It was kinda funny how you talked like Bangkok has got only Rooftop bars for the visitors, you have any idea about how Malaysia is planning to build a floating market like the famous one in Thailand? 😅
I lives in bangkok Never goes to any party and I could enjoy my life with cozy vibe much of the time. Bangkok are just much more diversity depends on which life you want to live
Bangkok is far superior. It's not even a debate. Bangkok is the only true World City in all of Southeast Asia, even more so than Singapore. KL is a joke in comparison.
Malaysia is more conservative country. We would like to preserve it as it is. More practicing Muslim country. It's okay to not be so popular. Less crowded is better. I'm scared many people want to live in my country. We've been overloaded with illegal immigrants, please go to Thailand n Indonesia, they're much better, much larger much cheaper. We're just so so..
Thailand is definitely for younger generation especially singles as its a party city almost everywhere you go. Malaysia is a Muslim country, so the vibes is different. Supposedly more conservative!

Something that is so perfect Sometimes be boring.
i wish KL had a big river running thru its city...
true, big cities all have water by the city - bangkok / singapore / hk / london / sydney / shanghai / new york etc.
Bangkok is sinking
Having a river running in the middle of the city have it's issues and complications. 😅
@@options888 Coastal cities will start to flood in 30 years due to global warming.
There is. It's Gombak and Klang rivers. In fact, this is how KL got its name, Kuala Lumpur means "Muddy Confluence" which meets where the two rivers meet.
Bangkok all the way, no doubt about it . Bangkok is a more interesting city much more places to go and see more open society .
Welcome to Land of Lady boy 🤗
Single, "adventurous" and into the social & party scene, go to bangkok. With Family, less interested in party scene, less hectic, want to chill go to KL.
There are many places for family in Bangkok, actually it’s more than the party scenes. It’s just some people focus more on the party.
Been to both and I think people in Kuala Lumpur is more sophisticated. But I have to say Thai people are friendlier.
And Malaysia is the most visited country for foreign travel in 2023 (29 mil) overtake Thailand (28mil). 🤔
Which fact did you found tho 💀
Kuala Lumper never come cross to Bangkok.
In 2023 bangkok even ranks no.1 in the world (22.78mil)
Second Paris (19.10mil)
Third London (19.09)
Kuala Lumper even under Singapore
@@sakuraisp6974 Even the media are confused on the statistic.
While "VIETNAM INVESTMENT REVIEW", Indonesia "TEMPO", VnExpressInternational, Masahable SEA, SeaAsia and a few more named Malaysia as no 1 most visited country in 2023, but many more bestowed Thailand as the champion. I think the confusion arose because of the categories, where the comparison was done between cities of Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok and there was also a comparison between countries Malaysia and Thailand. The result can be different in both categories
Malaysia has a population 33 million people, but the country has Number of tourists visiting Thailand Almost 40 million people More than 7-8 million people
Miss Sudawan Wangsuphakitkoson Minister of Tourism and Sports Revealing the overall picture of foreign tourists traveling to Thailand: From 1 Jan. - 25 Feb. '24, there were almost 7 million foreign tourists traveling to Thailand.
@@sakuraisp6974i think u lack reading…its from Yahoo finance…Yes for the first time KL took the crown from Bangkok…
Amazing visual! But how on earth do you stay so composed walking through crowds of people and stay on topic? I'd be so self-conscious!
Hands down... Kuala Lumpur!
KL is like Singapore but affordable. Period.
Hahaha nothing like Singapore

Glad I found you! Liked and subbed. Dealing with this dilemma at the moment. Need to hire 5 locals as remote workers. Any thoughts on the work ethics of MY or TH? Can't wait to see your other vids.👍
Most visiting tourist to Thailand obviously from Malaysia 4.4 milion, second 2.7 milion from China,so yeah Thailand u owe us😂
Somebody must make vlog on why malaysianscross over to thai in high numbers ... a quicky one , malaysians simply got thicker wallet

Kuala Lumpur for living =)
Bangkok for travel. Kuala Lumpur for living.
To me I prefer Bangkok over KL, would really love to stay there for years, but KL is Beautiful as well.
Those who prefer
" exotic interesting nite Life..." probably Bangkok@ Thailand...is their better choice...but those who prefer peacefulness , better 'air quality' less chaotic probably prefer to live in KL...but spend weekends in Bangkok 😂
Nice place, definetly should visit once in a life time even though for a week tour which would be remarkable. (My Experience)
Can you book an apartment at Star Residences for 1 month? Is it affordable or should I go for an AirBnb?
Did you find out yet? I'm looking for the same info. Airbnb is always more expensive so any alternate is preferable if available
Most airbnb above rm200 should be good enough. If you want nicer view and vibe in the center maybe around rm400++
*The rate is per day
If nightlife and alcohol is important to you then bangkok is your place...
Enjoyed this Danny ❤❤❤
Great episode Dany
I don't know which one is the best but i know I like your handsome face 😻😻😻
Some great points of interest.
Next Singapore? Strong video
For me, Kuala Lumpur is more advance, modern, and have good infrastructure but Bangkok is more happy for young people
How can you rank the major cities of SEA overall from better to least
Jakarta🇮🇩, KL,🇲🇾 Manila🇵🇭, Singapore🇸🇬, Bangkok🇹🇭, and Hochiminh🇻🇳
If SE Asia were a country, and these are its major cities, it would be a wonderful country.
Try visiting its 2nd cities, Jogja, Penang, Cebu, Chiang Mai, Danang and JB across from S'pore, you would experience a different vibe.
Imagine driving thousand of kilometers on the 4-6 lane highways in Borneo, Sumatra, the Malay Peninsula from S'pore to Bkk. And one day in the future crossing Vietnam or cruising from Bangkok to HCM on similar highways/dual carriageways. Wonderful experience.
Yes, indeed they were all from the same stock, only different in race n religion😊
First would be Singapore.
The least would be Ho chi Minh.
Hello guys.. i'm from India. Please suggest me one for my honeymoon trip. Malaysia or Thailand.. I'm confusing..😮
I love both but if I had to choose, I'll pick BKK
How do you manage working while travelling to all these great places, as one work trip for me takes a few days to settle down to proper work?
Bangkok is more fun. There's more to see to do. Kuala Lumpur after a week was boring for me.
I love both❤
Bangkok for entertaiment but Kuala Lumpur is for living..
For entertainment lifestyle chose Bangkok but for good living style or retiree choose Malaysia 🇲🇾
It was kinda funny how you talked like Bangkok has got only Rooftop bars for the visitors, you have any idea about how Malaysia is planning to build a floating market like the famous one in Thailand? 😅
Live and work in KL. Travel and spend money in Thailand.
bkk more party, kl more homely.
I lives in bangkok
Never goes to any party and I could enjoy my life with cozy vibe much of the time.
Bangkok are just much more diversity depends on which life you want to live

For visiting Bangkok
KUALA LUMPUR 🇲🇾
Bangkok is far superior. It's not even a debate. Bangkok is the only true World City in all of Southeast Asia, even more so than Singapore. KL is a joke in comparison.
You must be Thai! Hah..bet you hv never been to any other place like Singapore and KL to say that
As they say, you work in Singapore, be entertained in Bangkok, but live in KL..
For me, fun and food Bangkok. KL is awesome, I just have more things to do in BK
Thailand is definitely for younger generation especially singles as its a party city almost everywhere you go. Malaysia is a Muslim country, so the vibes is different. Supposedly more conservative!
