I put this in the desc but i'll put it here too www.manualslib.com/manual/2605685/Magnavox-Ct270mw8.html?page=22#manual This is the service manual for a magnavox that's similar to my sylvania tv, it has two service remote model#'s but idk the exact remote. If anyone can help then please let me know >:)
Nice collection! The only things that I dislike about CRT televisions are their weight and size. Wish they didn't take up so much room. My wife likes that I have a hobby that is somewhat healthy, but sort of does the eye roll when I bring a new set home. The old approval with underlying elements of disapproval!😂😂😂
Very nice tour of your CRT sets. That Samsung (2nd Main) looked very nice indeed! Your knowledge of CRT sets is impressive. Nice to see your vids back too 😊😊👍👍
P-O, have you found a way to get around or disable the “BLE” or “Black Level Expansion” function of the I’Art? My 20” and 27” does not have an option in either the User or Service menus. Not to patronize if you’re aware of it, but it’s essentially dynamic contrast with only on the fly adjustments to the black level being made depending on the current frame’s APL. I’m close to just desoldering the pin on the IC that handles the “feature” because otherwise I love both of them, but the dynamic adjustments the sets make to the black level because of it can be annoying depending on the game.
I have a Samsung TXR-2435 and a Sony Trinitron KV-24S100 which are both absolutely outstanding for anything up to the PS2 or through component cable. ZERO LAG!!!
Where is the best place to but monitors like the sony one you have? I'm looking for a multiformat one. Dosent have to be sony either just looking for sources where to buy besides ebay or overpriced sellers
I'm considering picking up an HD CRT as well. Specifically a Sony KD-34XBR970. The idea is to make it my main setup for my OG Xbox and PS2, but primarily for OG Xbox because of its 480p compatibility with several games. Currently I'm using a standard definition KD-27FS170. Thinks it's worth the swap? I wanna be damn sure because transporting a 200 pound beast for nothing would suck haha. I'm never seeing this Samsung 26" widescreen HD CRT in my area unfortunately. Probably way lighter and easier to move around if need be.
@@P-0-Seventeen yeah but I feel like it wouldn't really be a significant upgrade right? Especially since it's only a jump from 480i to 480p via component. And quite a few og Xbox games don't support native widescreen. Component output 480i on this KD-27FS170 is super crisp
@@P-0-SeventeenI kept my grand parents crt I have a small Sony with a realy nice picture and then I have a panasonic tv vcr combo but no large ones if you have sega you should pick up frogger it’s the best home port ever
Do you know anyone in Central Illinois who might want a free Toshiba 27AF41? I accidentally reset the EEPROM or whatever it's called, and reset it to the factory settings. If someone else has another copy of this TV they could copy the EEPROM data over, if that makes sense. I don't have a use for it but it's in great shape.
I was trying to check the hours and accidentally reset the EEPROM because I used the wrong combination. Also kind of a newb and didn't realize that the "factory settings" in the manual are actually a bad idea.

Ahh man I watched this so many times and just realized I got a JVC iart a couple nights ago it's amazing
Your CRT arsenal just made my jaw drop. You have an awesome collection, especially the pro monitors.
I got the JVC-TMA13SU because of your video and I’ve been down the crt rabbit hole ever since! I’m up to 12 now I think.
48 😅
@ Wow! That’s Impressive!

Hello. Where have you found most of your CRTs? And have you found mostly televisions or monitors?
Very nice, keep the CRT alive.

@oh_niceee as long as the sony works fine and checks out in terms of its picture, it'd be alright. But yeah 200 pounds is a looot

It was looking good before I messed with it. I was trying to make some minor geometry adjustments but as kind of naive about it
