the worst updates were 1-evos and level 15 added, the meta at the time was so restrictive it was literally unplayable if you weren’t running evo firecracker, evo barbs w lava, or evo rg 2-phoenix monk update, probably where the game took it’s biggest turn for the worst but there was way more deck variety, just with phoenix and monk 3-update for losers, destroyed a lot of the value from pass
I've always said it, the correct approach to elite level was to make it a cosmetic only thing, without changing the stats, like once you have level 14 and the star levels, use some ewc to upgrade them and only make it change cosmetically, make them gold and black and there you go, community's happy because it doesn't give an advantage and because it's only cosmetical and you get some people to spend money if they really like the cosmetic aspect of it
The best change I could make for touchdown is making Golem, Hog Rider and similar cards to attack and be distracted by eneny troops as long as there’s no enemy bulidings.

New lucky drops are trash They are nice, don't get me wrong, but the whole deal with the old ones was that they removed the wild cards from the season shops and put them into old lucky drops And since they almost entirely removed the wild cards from the new lucky drops, we have next to zero sources to gain them it feels like some big plan to get the wild cards from us, kinda like the first slash royale

I was one of those few who played goblin arena after hitting 4k. I'm completely free to play (besides a single pass royal purchase when it was new), I just loved the idea of goblin only, and actually already had a mostly level 14 goblin only deck, which I used to meme with and have fun. My biggest gripe was people running 0 goblin cards, and just running double princes. I actually didn't use either of the broken goblin cards. My deck was Evo Gob Giant, Evo Valk, Log, Arrows, Gob Barrel, Valk, goblin gang, and dart goblin. Just played super aggressive.
i had invested a lot into goblin queen and it was fun. I used an evo GGiant with sparky and had so much fun, i wish it was permanint. also i had 50k elite wild cards at the end, so i maxed tower and then got 50k back after
yeah it was some people's cup of tea me personally i lost interest quite quickly but thats why I didn't put it that high on the list. It was still a good update

Ever since pekka vs. Mega kinght season they just got better with Pass royale buff (removing gold pass and adds more rewards especially evo shard) and 2v2 ladder which what we want along with season shop buff along with it.
I used to play for a while back in the beginning of the game and left a little bit after clan wars 2 cause of school. I came back a month ago and honestly the game is just awful and unplayable. I started at 3000 trophies and got my upgrades and as soon as I started playing I got consistently curb stomped by matchmaking when I got to arena 17 where I’d get paired with a lvl 14 golden named player with lvl 14 cards and a few lvl 15 cards and evolutions meanwhile I was at king lvl 13 while having lvl 12 cards with one lvl 13 card in my deck and nowhere close to getting evolutions. I tried to use clan wars to hopefully progress but I got curb stomped in clan wars by maxed players too with my clan having the same issue, the only thing I got to do without getting overleveled was the event battles for shop points. Meanwhile as I’m getting curb stomped in every match due to p2w players, I’m getting shown 50 offers to spend money to get those magical upgrades I desperately needed to even play and have fun. Clash royale is honestly a shell of its former self, it is a testament to the corruption greed has on things I previously enjoyed. Clash Royale is cooked and it’s honestly sad since I used to play it all the time back in middle school. I can hope it gets better but considering how these greedy companies do, sooner or later it’s just going to be yet another gatcha type game that appeals to whales which is funny considering supercell cited that term in that one clash of clans presentation they did a while back.

Hammer Jam is great because it has always been 50% on costs (they greatly expanded it this time) and you wanted to use it because it gave better value than after the update (with the current format it is insane value i am taking my halfway done town hall 15 and maxing it out quick) but for clash royal they did not consider the card costs as well. Now will say the Mega knight is what really killed me being active on the game and i hop on from time to time

Whereas these evos would’ve been JOKES AND SHITPOSTS from people 4 years ago. “What if every time a pekka hit, it healed its HP and never died to swarm?” I’m saying that this update was the worst because of its impact, not its initial reception.

Haven't watched the video but it has to be either evolutions or update for losers, both have done insane damage both long and short term and can't really be fixed unless they're practically reverted or heavily reworked which isn't reKly happening
