Hey guys here to clear up any confusion with the tier list segment I must have accidentally cut it out of the script but if a card isn't on the tier list that means it's equally as powerful in 2v2 as it is in 1v1 and wasn't worth mentioning. And cards like furnace (which is a terrible, horrible card right now) being in the A tier doesn't mean its as good as the rest of the cards in the A tier, just that it (by merit of being a building) gets marginally better in 2v2 than in 1v1, even if it's still terrible. This is all to help account for future balance changes. So if the furnace gets mega-buffed in the future and becomes a top 10 card, this list shows that it only gets better when put in a 2v2 setting. Hope this helps I'll pay more attention to the script next time lol
Great video! However, I’d argue that arrows, being among one of the best spells in 1v1s, is even more broken in 2v2. I believe it should be in the S tier due to the area it covers, the fact it can kill annoying cards like princess and firecracker, and good damage for a small spell.
11:35 this idea of swapping the Golem and the Miner is really interesting Theoretically you wont see it happen because any 2 friends playing are better off just running 2 Golem decks or 2 Miner decks but i can see it be very helpful in some rare cases where someone isnt comfortable Playing beatdown and their friend isnt comfortable playing cycle

This is a super informative video, if only my random 2v2 partner didnt use a spell against a goblin barrel even while Im hovering over with a spell of my own
One thing the video didn't cover, who should spell or defend. The best answer to that is who has the best counter. If you and your teammate are trying to defend a gob barrel, obviously whoever has the best counter should use their card, example being if you have a log and your teammate has a fireball, of course you should be the one to use your spell to counter the gob barrel. It gets interesting tho when you add who has more elixir. Say you have 2 elixir and the log, but your teammate has a full elixir bar and a fire ball, it would be better for your teammate to use his/her fireball to help even out your elixir. The same goes if you both have a log, the one with the most elixir should be the one to use their log. Stuff like this is never talked about in videos, and I was kinda disappointed it wasn't talked about in this video.
@@ryanmoon05If you can actually talk to the person live then that is very effective at maximizing your ability but without that you have to account for wether your ally understands that and what if they or you notice a threat you think the other should handle but they don’t. @@kylezdancewicz7346 you don't have to actually talk to your teammate in order to do the things I mentioned. That's the whole point why I said It's disappointing that no one talks about it, because if someone did, then more people would know how to play 2v2 as a team. I can do it just fine with friends who I have played with before, and we have never talked to each other once. Of course if you're able to talk with your teammate via phone or FaceTime or whatever, it will make for a much better gameplay, but not everyone is gonna find the time to do that, or have the pleasure of knowing someone in person who they can do this with. @@kylezdancewicz7346 you can be on the same page without talking, that's what I made clear in my last comments. If you understand the basics of 2v2 play, no talking is needed. The only way for people to understand the basics is to either learn it yourself, sadly most will never learn themselves, or by learning from others like on social media, hence why I said it was disappointing that this was not mentioned in the video. I have played my share of games with random teammates where we both were on the same page, because we know what it takes to play like a team. The key points to playing like a team, know your teammates elixir, know what cards they have in their hand, hover cards to let them know what you're planning to do, make common sense plays...those things are not hard to do and don't require talking at all. Does talking with your teammate allow you to play better than if you're not talking...yes, but it's not needed to play well and have a good chance at winning.

I feel like Haikyuu said it best. Hard work beats talent. But if those with talent also work hard, boi you need unfathomable amounts of hard work to match up to that.
i violently disagree. this thought process is used by people to avoid working hard, and to think they were just born unlucky. in my opinion, talent does not exist, only hard work from an early age. if i were to quantify it, i would say ability is (hard work) times (the length of time you have been continuously working), and talent, being hard work from an early age, merely provides a scalar to the (time) factor. please dont fall for this thought process, it just serves to limit your potential (and for the record movies provide the exact opposite message, just think about any baseball movie where the main character just has "more heart in it", or a musical in which "youve just got to want it more")
@yalieyal4362 so how do you explain savants that can pick up say an instrument and it just makes sense? There are people that have talents/abilities/skills that naturally exceed others. I had a kid i went to school with who was 5 foot 9 and could dunk a basketball in 8th grade. That's physical talent thag gives him an edge on someone like me whose vertical was a foot less than his. A lifetime of hard work on my end may have got me to his 8th grade vert, but he had that without working at. Natural talent mixed with an insane work ethic trumps everything. But there's people who are born with talents that hardwork just can't surpass. Someone without those natural talents start at a massive disadvantage. That's why you don't see Rudy in the league. He was passed in the draft and the opted for randy moss. I'm sorry but your view is pretty flawed. Either you've never been around very talented people or you've seen too many of these stories of hard work alone winning out. Maybe its coping for deficiencies in whatever. The hardwork stories are nice and inspirational, but there's Antonio browns out there that are just better than most and didn't have to work too hard at it. Baseball is a really good example of it. There are people born that can hit those balls at those speeds. Someone like you or me could spend our first 18 years practicing and working hard but never come close to getting drafted. There's 10s of thousands of people in that group. Played sports their whole childhood, worked hard at it, and just didn't have what it takes to make that next level. In the movies there usually a string of extraordinary events that allows that person to have a shot and the big times. Thing of it is, there's more cam newton's in the world than there are tom bradys.
@yalieyal4362 some people are born with disabilities that make them naturally bad at certain things. Don't you think it's logical therefore that some people are born really good at certain things?
Also the reason fire cracker should be lower is because it is the easiest king tower acrivation ever, and from an easy placement, you now get 2 cannons on the map
@@DemiCapeOnly RG and X-Bow/Mortar deck doesn't affect, and in this meta RG ain't good, and Mortar/X-Bow required highly defensive counter play, and yet it doesn't strong enough in 2v2
Like you said, the 2v2 resources are scarce and often not as helpful as it seems. I appreciate you sharing the knowledge, ive been playing 2v2 with a freind for almost a year now and we're having fun with the ranked 2v2 mode 👌🏼
I love 2v2, the past 1.5 years it's all I've played (except grinding league of legends for the emote.) This challenge has been annoying as people who usually don't play 2v2 and have 2 brain cells have been playing it.
I'm someone who plays 2v2 over 90% of the time after I'd quit the game due to card levels. I had played since launch, so when they introduced 2v2 where card levels didn't matter, I returned. You're right, there were few videos about 2v2 strategy, despite the fact it's extremely fun and sometimes pretty difficult. I find 4 player battles to be more exciting and rewarding than 1v1. I can beat 9000 trophy players like I belong there, but the excitement from winning in a 2v2 is just much more. I can make a deck that should fail 99%of the time in 1v1, but then have great success with it in 2v2. The fundamental strategies for the game itself change with the 2 extra people and slower elixer generation. Anyway, thanks for the video. I liked it. 👍🏻 Golden Knight is my fav right now in 2v2, with tornado and EVO Pekka
I’m a ultimate champion player, and I used to play a lava clone deck with my alt with 2 devices. I used to use it to farm crowns (this was like 1-2 years ago before evos) and easily had a 90%+ win rate. I’d say the biggest 3 tips to 2v2 would be 1. Be good, or atleast better than your opponent. 2. Play with yourself. No pro player combo will have better synergy than you + yourself. 3. Have very very similar decks. I’d say 5-6 cards between the two decks were the same and some were just different light spells. I shared this deck with a friend(who isn’t anywhere close to my skill level) and we still had a 90%+ win rate even with his under leveled cards. Only way I could lose is if they had executioner or wizard + nado + cracker(really 3+ air splash cards)
I think there's something to be said for cards that can bait opponents into discoordination. For instance, I often use skeleton barrel in 2v2. It forces one or both opponents to hold a spell / play a building, and a lot of times it draws out a severe overspend in elixir. Same with cards like firecracker. This won't work at the highest level of play, but for 90% of people, it'll lead to more wins.
I've watched plenty of creators and videos, but NEVER I learned this much about the game!!!!! You explain perfectly and demonstrates fittingly, almost perfect holy shit!!!
Amazing video an super high quality, i like the little animations with bowser and the changing but not destracting background. Keep going, you are an amazing creator. I would love to see a video with this editing style that goes more in depth on the different archetypes, beatdown and control
After playing 2v2 since I was in 8th grade and now I have graduated. Tornado, and arrows are the best in the mode. I used to play 2v2 so much and leveled up my cards because of it that when I trophy pushed, I went up so many leagues under the old system all because I didn’t want to seem like a try hard to my friends in the same clan as me.
loved the video and especially your humor one thing tho to add to it is how important small spells are, especially log and arrows, and spell cycling in general, log because its a solid offensive and defensive card that gives you more time to deal with opponents "funnelled" troops while chipping their tower away, arrows because of its big ass radius and damage ,and again spell cycling abilities big spells are also good too if you co-ordinate your deck building with your partner, generally its best both of you not taking the same big spells
as a 2v2 enthusiast (my fav game mode) the tier list and explanation were very accurate. if i were to lose a 2v2 match it’s because of the teammate overcommitting or not knowing how to play. rarely my fault trusttttt great vid
This is a good video, perspective of a top 2v2 player from when it was in CRL. Generally all very good points. Only issue I have with it was Macro being dead is an exaggeration. You can keep track of opponents elixir, it’s just significantly harder than in one v one. Cycle tracking is much more complicated and hard to explain but it’s much more of a feel thing involving a lot of game sense than simply counting cards. Graveyard being super low I do have a problem with as having two of them with freeze and correct spell bait(yes that’s a thing) is really really hard to deal with and was a top win condition at the time alongside hog rider . Although I’m speaking from a meta perspective from a casual pov I would agree since it requires good communication and skill to use effectively. From the mode as a whole I would say that macro is more like 10% in 2v2, micro is 10% and matchup is 10% with teamwork being the rest. This might be biased because me and my duo dominated the tier 2 scene of 2v2 and rarely ever lost games so it fuels my belief that matchup barely matters at all.
@@hero_boyxd3732 the meta has changed a lot but usually giant skeleton hog and graveyard were go to guaranteed win decks. We copied variants from CRL in 2019 usually from team liquid or SK gaming Morten and Sam.
maybe even if you aren't the best player this is one of the most well articulated and enjoyable watched i've had that actually explains CR, thank you for the awesome vid!
Well made video, good information, entertaining, and has a good story to follow (yours) you will have great success if you continue to produce videos within the magnitude of quality such as this one. 👍
finally a 2v2 video 💜💜💜 i have been playing 95% 2v2 ever since i came back to cr in over a year ago i used to run a "support deck", where i would run no win condition and use stuff like spells, small attackers (like firecracker and spear goblins), 1-2 spirits and my baby little prince the idea was that since my random queue partner pretty much always had a win condition of their own, instead of trying to fight them with which win condition would be put next, I'd just build my whole deck around supporting whatever win condition they had tho after evo ram released and i fell in love at first sight, i switched to pekka LP bridge spam, since a lot of cards there could both support or defend and counter push on their own
Honestly I would motion against princess being an S tier card, as it contradicts one of your statements previously mentioned in your video. Because the opponents reach a maximum of 10 elixir approximately 1.4 times as much in 2v2 than in 1v1 (taking into account the modified elixir replenishment rate) there is a higher chance for the opponent to have a card blocking your princess. In addition, because spells are more likely in this game mode, it is more common for the opponent to have a card in cycle to counter your blocked princess (assuming the opponent does not mistakenly double spell it).
I feel like golden knight is an A tier card for 2v2, the dash is super good against clumped up cards, and usually at least one of the opponents messes up the placement of their cards and it connects to the tower
We need more educational, in-depth, and entertaining Clash Royale content like this. Immediately subbed! Edit: I also disagree around the "Macro Dead in a Ditch" part. Macro is in fact more significant in 2v2 in terms of matchup playstyle. One key example is switching tower of focus when your weakside tower is dwindling in health. Especially with splash cards and spells rampant, clumping your troops passively on the weakside tower will give your opponents' spells (which is already valuable in 2v2) more value. Another is the macro of being aggressive and choosing what cards you have should be allocating for defense, should you the Spell Cycle player use your spells defensively and let your partner spam wincons? Or should you spam your spells on the tower while your partner uses the WinCons and Supports passively. There's a lot more to cover about what macro is in Clash Royale, but you get the point lol Edit 2: And you absolutely nailed the whole "pro players using Double Logbait/Bait" schtick lol

I remember seeing a video of 2 ppl playing rocket cycle and they just played defense while spamming rockets when they had the chance! I wonder if that still works well today :)
I do not play clash royale, or any of the games in the CoC series, yet I watched this video all the way through! Great video, super captivating, excellent breakdown. Liked and subbed!
As an almost exclusively 2v2 and control deck player, that bit about supporting a counter push and not taking a little micro push as an invitation to drop a perks hits so hard, because I constantly find myself playing knight or ice golem in front of my teammate’s cards, only for them to throw down a mega knight when I play suspicious bush in the opposite lane, just painful.
i usually never like videos or comment, but you deserve the algorithm. Have watched 50 seconds now and just the subject. FUCK YEAH. Am ex top 10k player. still aris champ. been playing for 8 years and this is the first time ive seen a good video ( i hope ) on the subject. Well fucking done.
Great video, I also got confused by the 2v2 meta when I was trying to play it with my friend. Not playing anymore because I don't have much time, but this video made me want to try the game again.

I must have accidentally cut it out of the script but if a card isn't on the tier list that means it's equally as powerful in 2v2 as it is in 1v1 and wasn't worth mentioning.

Me about to dust off my old 2v2 deck from 4 years ago
15:34 reacting to the dart goblin fast enough… lmaoo, you got me bro😭
I somehow knew this video was gonna be an absolute banger and I haven't even played clash royale in years, crazy good analysis
This video worth referencing 100,000 times and I really hope your channel will take off thanks to such great job!
Thank you for this video Bowser. 🙏🙏🔥🔥
repeatedly playing 2v2s constantly for years is what got me so good at clash
14:18 yes, it does. It's in one of those loading screen tips, or at least it used to be there cuz that was how I learned it existed 💀
loved the video and especially your humor
one thing tho to add to it is how important small spells are, especially log and arrows, and spell cycling in general, log because its a solid offensive and defensive card that gives you more time to deal with opponents "funnelled" troops while chipping their tower away, arrows because of its big ass radius and damage ,and again spell cycling abilities
big spells are also good too if you co-ordinate your deck building with your partner, generally its best both of you not taking the same big spells
I love your style kiddo nothing beats a sassy TH-camr with a lot of PNGs
as a 2v2 enthusiast (my fav game mode) the tier list and explanation were very accurate. if i were to lose a 2v2 match it’s because of the teammate overcommitting or not knowing how to play. rarely my fault trusttttt
great vid
As someone that maxed out the 2v2 medal years ago, the game assessment is solid af. Card picks are another story though I agree with a lot
Videos like this is why I still love youttube
May I ask what combo decks you use? ✨
@@hero_boyxd3732 the meta has changed a lot but usually giant skeleton hog and graveyard were go to guaranteed win decks. We copied variants from CRL in 2019 usually from team liquid or SK gaming Morten and Sam.
Great editing btw!! well put together
Really love this guide. Super engaging and informative. Hope ur channel sees a bunch of growth soon
for the elixir bar it generates 15% slower in 2v2 to better control the chaos
daaaammmmmnnn this video has everything you would ever need for 2v2 lol. This was super helpful, keep up the amazing videos my dude!
Enjoyed and shared with my friends who play this, great vid!
This video is insanely good! Keep it up!
Sub #40
This video is insanely well made bro, keep up and you’ll see 100k in no time
Ps. what is with the random jjk stuff, it’s funny icl but it comes outta nowhere 😭
this vid is 10/10, very helpful. cant wait to get paired with someone who has not seen this video :(
i couldnt believe my eyes when i saw that you have 600 subs, you are really underrated lol. also wasnt expecting to get gnomed in 2024
First cr content I've watched in ages, haven't been playing either. I like your passion tho
maybe even if you aren't the best player this is one of the most well articulated and enjoyable watched i've had that actually explains CR, thank you for the awesome vid!
Well made video, good information, entertaining, and has a good story to follow (yours) you will have great success if you continue to produce videos within the magnitude of quality such as this one. 👍
22:34 no night witch ?
😂
No canon cart 😔
No pekka or mini pekka
He forgot quite a few cards lol
everybody gangsta until supercell releases Bowser
Thank you bouser 🥰🥰🥰 i am very greatful for this video 🧐 and will enjoy and watch it📚
Great stuff brother.
Love and blessings!
Great vid and great edits.❤️ Hope this channel gets blown big.🎉
finally a 2v2 video 💜💜💜
i have been playing 95% 2v2 ever since i came back to cr in over a year ago
i used to run a "support deck", where i would run no win condition and use stuff like spells, small attackers (like firecracker and spear goblins), 1-2 spirits and my baby little prince
the idea was that since my random queue partner pretty much always had a win condition of their own, instead of trying to fight them with which win condition would be put next, I'd just build my whole deck around supporting whatever win condition they had
tho after evo ram released and i fell in love at first sight, i switched to pekka LP bridge spam, since a lot of cards there could both support or defend and counter push on their own
Honestly I would motion against princess being an S tier card, as it contradicts one of your statements previously mentioned in your video.
One of the best cr videos ive watched in a while
the editing made me laugh and everything in this video was so helpful, amazing video :))
god ur so good at explaining things thank u
Really good video man. Good job :D
I feel like golden knight is an A tier card for 2v2, the dash is super good against clumped up cards, and usually at least one of the opponents messes up the placement of their cards and it connects to the tower
Wow, I hate this game and haven't played in years but I watched this video in full. good job.
best clash royale video i've ever seen bro, the clarity you see with is impressive
Bro this video is great. I thought I knew everything about decks and stuff but this taught me so much
this vid was genuinely fantastic man u have a real talent. everything was spot on im subbing now
Incredible vid, nice miniature, you're getting subs from that video man i guarantee it ! I hope you will get the "fame" you deserve
First time I've heard someone talk about opportunity cost with evolutions, it really needs to be talked about more
Dude this is some insane effort!!! Ty for the guide
Bro this was super informational and well thought out and funny. Love seeing really analytical breakdowns of games I enjoy
Really instructive and fun video ! Creators such as you are the only reason why i still play this scam game
There's a lot more to cover about what macro is in Clash Royale, but you get the point lol
Edit 2: And you absolutely nailed the whole "pro players using Double Logbait/Bait" schtick lol
Made ultimate champion but didn’t understand the difference between beat down and control until this video
I've played clash since beta, almost 9 years, and 2v2 religious since launch and just learned the beatdown-control spectrum. Great video!😊
Good vid bro. Been playing the game since like 2016/2017. My friend from high school and I still play and play majority 2v2 which NO one does videos on 😢. Love to see this!
this video is really well made
Bro explained the game better than 120 % of pros and champions.💀🔥🔥
What
just started playin clash royal 2v2s in my clan w the boys. This video allows us to cook. Great editing too man
I’ve been playing 2v2 for years now as well, and can agree that this video is an excellent way to learn 2v2 as a whole.
I love 2v2, this update (other than the levels) was perfect.
I remember seeing a video of 2 ppl playing rocket cycle and they just played defense while spamming rockets when they had the chance! I wonder if that still works well today :)
It still does
succinct, funny, and most of all informative. good vid!
This was a great video rare W for TH-cam recommended I'm definitely subscribing
Under rated video.
Every concept there is peak !
I do not play clash royale, or any of the games in the CoC series, yet I watched this video all the way through! Great video, super captivating, excellent breakdown. Liked and subbed!
Nice work. Entertaining and informative
Great video. I loved 2v2. But I quit CR when they took away the rewards.
New subscriber! Thanks 👍🏻 for this great video
