@@FourtyFiftyEighty Yeah. Just something i found a bit funny. Also, nice catches on the 2903s. We actually had that same thing at my Elementary school up until the end of my 3rd grade year. Except, instead of 4903s, it was 4901s. And, I don't think we had the 4251-30s as pull stations. Likely 4251-20s.
I’m assuming that the all the old A/Vs were wired on the same NACs that were synced (or all NACs were set to sync)? Btw, what silent knight panel was installed in this system and what simplex panel was in the last inspection vid?
@@That_9838_dude yep. That’s how sync protocols work. They briefly cut power to the nacs every second which gets everything to sync. Obviously sync protocols don’t work on mechanical horns so they just make that skipping noise
Amazing sounds, i wished it was like this today's time
Says smoke alarms suck, but then the system activates a second afterwards. The system literally said "You sure about that?"
Lmao I noticed that while editing and was like damn

Continuous mechanical horns… music to my ears.
Cool video and cool fire alarms!
At 0:07 it sounds like a Santa Fe RS3L.
Very nice i kinda like those 9838s they skip just like my Elementary school right outside of the school in East Bethel MN
It’s actually a 9846. But good try, they look super similar, but look at the color in the inside, the silver is 46, and black is 38.
Why would they have them on a sync protocol if those strobes can’t sync? Also weird that the horns are sideways on those newer strobe plates
Awesome test and video Logan! Are the modern alarms Gentex Commander 3s? It seems like the panel outputs filtered DC though it's not Simplex
Grill-less 9838s on 2903s just like my elementary school
the alarms skip like a wheelock 7002t
The one in the gym was a 9806
I had a fire drill a couple days ago before break
Not all 9838 silver diaphragms are 9838s it can be a 9846

What are the gray 9833s for?
A mini horn could be heard
What’s up other Logan
Is the horn strobe at 1:38 skipping like a Wheelock 7002/t would? Also, nice system!
Gentex sync
@officialsimplexguy that's what makes them skip???

@@officialsimplexguy Interesting. Good to know.
@officialsimplexguy Now once I get my panel imma have my mechanical horns set on gentex sync
Bogi moment
Filtered DC at least!
gentex gx90s in the classrooms
Fire alarm hornn is sidewayd
