- Hope you guys enjoy! A very cool retrofit system with some of the original notification appliances. We got Truealerts, a Quickalert, 2901-9838s, Simplex 2903s with 2901-9806, and other strange combinations!!!

Those QuickAlerts were DRUNK!! Also, that intro is awesome!
They were not drunk they were on Walk test. Also the fire alarm refers to these as Simplex QuickAlert horn/strobes due to the devices not having the TrueAlert marking and thus being produced in the years of 1999 and 2000.
Yeah, it is quite overloaded. There's a lot of QuickAlerts which obviously aren't original. Most of them are from January-June 2000, but that 4903-9419 at 5:10 that has a different grille is from November-December 1999. In a way I actually like the QuickAlert more than the TrueAlert because I like the older design more.

It’s very unique how the last 3 videos you’ve done you’ve found such cool old systems of Simplex alarms that still stand today shame some horns have been replaced but hopefully you’ll find a full intact system
That TrueAlert on a 2903 plate reminds me a bit of the Art Center at my friend's university, except the TrueAlerts are slapped onto 4040-60 and 4050-80 light plates (originally the horns were Simplex 4051s; the system is currently a Simplex 4007ES replacing a 4002 panel, which in turn replaced a Simplex 4208 from 1974).
Those wire guards over the pull stations in the gymnasium; my first elementary school also had those (except the pulls were 4251-30s, but some time in the late 2000s one of them had the guard AND the break-glass mechanism removed, and when I first saw the pull station looking like that at first glance I thought they replaced it with a newer Simplex 2099 pull until I saw the old "SIMPLEX" logo and the holes above the lever).
Another cool simplex system. Nobody does it like simplex.

What a mix of simplex horn strobes
This panel is either severely overloaded or there is just something wrong with it. Normally during walktest, truealerts would go crazy, however in this test the truealerts went crazy multiple times during one activation, and even the conventional signaling devices had some glitches in their signal circuit when they went off.

The QuickAlerts are SmartSync, they can't do 120. These go under the 4903-9417, 9418 and 9419 models, which predate the Simplex 4906-9127s. 4 Wire TrueAlerts such as the 4903-9425, 9426 and 9427 can be coded by a panel to March time.

The QuickAlerts are actually SmartSync.
Most of the QuickAlerts have the normal grille style but one has a goofy small hole!

Because the system is in walk test, it makes the horns (especially Truealerts) pulse erratically.

These are QuickAlerts (The original version of the TrueAlert) and they are in walk test which is why it sounds weird.
I don't know if it's the mic, but the coding/sync sounds like absolute dogwater.
The reason for the erratically pulsed horns is that the system was in walk test
