I think whatever is filtering those 9806 horns isn’t doing a very good job. Yes, the horns are running on filtered power, but it seems maybe one of the components filtering the power is defective or having issues. It could also be the horns themselves but I really think the filtering is having problems.
Now it’s rare you find those alarms now a days great video
Ah, yes. Simplex 2901-9806s with 4903-9101s. I even have that exact combo. I think alarms like these sound better in March time.
OMG I HAVE THAT SAME HORN AND STROBE PLATE COMBO!
4:57 perfect
Smoke entry is the only listed way to do a functional test on system smokes. Test magnets and buttons do not comply with NFPA 72.
womp womp read it again
Awesome vintage Simplex System, but not that System Sensor SpectrAlert Advance. I would much rather it be a Simplex TrueAlert.
*ShitAlert Advance*

My School has the exact same devices, but NSes instead of Advances and a few Self contained 4903s are in there too.
I prefer Wheelock NS over SpectrAlert Advance.
Self contained what do you mean
@@michaelgrahamwongacutemadness The Horizontal ADA 4903s.
I know of a building with these strobe plates with 9806 and 9838 horns.
Nice 4002 system also some of those 450ds need tuned
I LOVE THIS!
The older fire alarms are the ones we use, I feel amused to see them in use like this.
Can I use the vintage fire alarms on my pfp?
Yeah go for it! You can use clips of them going off as well just be sure to credit me :)
@@FourtyFiftyEighty I really appreciate it! I love this!
Cool!
The 9806s sound amazing
(the advance tho 😭😭😭)

this is a nice system. Do you know the original panel?
What kind of panel was it
Yayyy….. moreee advances…
I hate Advances and EST Genesis
They all have a strange vibrato to them. I don't think FWR though.

Could just be a weak power supply
@@officialsimplexguy that could be the case as well. Maybe the supply wasn’t sized properly.
I noticed this too, I wonder if the panel or module is running Sync for the newer signals heard?
Did anything have to get replaced?
some of the smoke detectors do
and one of the horns
@@STR2K6They replaced one with a SpectrAlert Advance, however I wished that Advance was a TrueAlert
@@STR2K6someone loves lying on the internet
How many where in the gym
I think one or two horn strobes
@@FourtyFiftyEighty it nice the system still stands todsy
