    I want you to know that I earnestly appreciate your work and feel what you do is perfect for most customers. Personally, I think your work is good enough to do high end detailing if you desire. Things like that have to make business sense. Don’t worry about foolish responses. It’s just usually weak people who are emboldened by the anonymity afforded them through virtual platforms. They wouldn’t dare say it to your face. 🔥💯

    Hi Phil. This was one of your best videos, in my opinion. What a great transformation on a beautiful red car. I’m really touched by how you and your wife work together on your customers’ cars. And don’t worry about any naysayers with their opinions...they’re just that, opinions. The quality of your work speaks for itself.

    Your little rant was actually really good. I think most detailers don't know really who their market is and worry about who they are competing with rather then running their business. Great video.

    Looks excellent! This job is more down to earth....more like the type vehicles I see. Most have been neglected for 10yrs and needs a miracle. Most channels show cars that didnt seem all that bad to begin with lol. I just did a 2014 Honda Accord that has NEVER BEEN WASHED! Couldnt believe it...took me 8:30hrs inside and out but it came out looking new. I like seeing jobs like that (like this one you guys did)
    Great work!

    just because your ride doesn't cost $100k+, doesn't mean it's not your pride and joy, and shouldn't look it's best.

    I Know this is an older video, but I just watched it yesterday. I just "restored" a SEVERELY abused and neglected 2013 Challenger own by a friend, last October, 2023 and this Buick really reminded me of it.
    Given the go ahead to do "whatever it takes" by the owner, I had to break out the rotary and heavy cut wool pads. Even so, I only had 24 hours to do everything, and it took 3 hours to detail wash and 14 hours of compounding (VERY SLOWLY and CAREFULLY) with a few minutes to apply a sealant before he picked it up.
    To ME, the car was STILL a mess (though there was at least a 70% overall improvement), I could see buffer haze all over the place and knew I'd need about 6 more hours to finesse it into shape.
    I explained all this to my friend and even pointed out all the hazing - but he COULDN'T even see it. To his eyes, there was a 90%+ improvement in the car's appearance.
    He asked me how he could keep it looking that good, and since he is a good friend, I told him: "Don't YOU ever touch the car again, bring it to me once a month and I will wash it properly and apply a spray sealant, then every 6 months, I will LIGHTLY polish the finish and reseal the paint." He took it with the humor (and offer) understood and immediately agreed - he is the type that loves a clean car, but does NOT have the drive (or a clue) to maintain it.
    There is a two-part video on my channel about his Dodge.

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Totally understandable. But it’s ok. Some comments are simply unacceptable while others I will answer so that others who read them can get a fuller understanding of what detailing is all about. I do think it’s good to see other sides of detailing and not just one persons narrow field of vision as to what detailing “really is” or whatever nonsense they jabber about. Detailing is fluid and ever changing so there is not just one way of doing things. 😎👍🏼

Excellent work, great tips, attention to detail. I also appreciate your rant there. I get the same thing too when I am washing and detailing my own cars. Everyone has to say something about what I am doing and why I am not doing this, or that, or using this or that. Yet I am not the one with swirl marks on my cars like theirs. Go figure... I do have one question, why not wet sand the oxidation before the compounding? Thanks!

      Hi thanks so much! Good question about the wet sanding. I could have done that but I am not set up for wet sanding full panels like that. I may need to get a 6 inch palm sander and 6 in sanding discs to tackle that if it come across it next time. Thanks 😎👍🏼

    That is my personal issue with ceramic coatings, the cutting is so low. Recently did a car like that. No ceramic coating . Cleaner polish, polish with 50/50 microfiber pad then a filler acrylic glaze. A good sealant. The paint stayed at the 5 range. Looks like yours. I just feel we are going backwards with ceramic coatings. it's my opinion only🤯😁

    Love this Phil. It was like being in the garage with you. It added realism and a really nice viewing experience. I still haven't got a clue what direction I'm going in lol. Well done. PS: Slow down I can't catch up getting videos out .😅🇬🇧

    Great video. I'm curious on the PS coating and how the gloss compares to beadmaker. Keep making your great videos.

    Great Detail Phil, I enjoyed watching you bring that Buick back to life as the average daily driver needs some TLC too. Props to your wife on her polishing skills, we needs more women in the game.

    It’s been a while since I made a comment on one of your videos Phil and I have to say this might be the best one yet. You covered just about everything I could ask for. I even saved this video so that I can go back to for advice. I have to disagree with you on one thing. You compared yourself to another detailer and put yourself way low. My man, you are no way that low. You are very high up on the professional scale. You did a great job. I have one curiosity question. Any reason why you used sonax polisher instead of staying with the meguire polisher that normally comes as a kit with the compound? I can guess but just want to know if there is that much of a difference in the shine. Thank you .

    Thank you for teaching me about the maguires hyper dressing, I have been using the Maguires ultimate black restore for the interior and engine bays and plastics and so on. But I was wondering if their was something local I could get that Dilatable! ♥️ thanks from one detailer to the next

    I can appreciate you doing things your way as they most certainly get you the results and that what matters. My question is did you consider possibly wet sanding the heavily oxidized areas with 3k and then 5k?

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thanks. That could have worked also. But I don’t have the sanding equipment to tackle large areas like that. I am thinking of getting an air palm sander and some 6 inch discs to start playing with.

    Hey Phil love ur commentary on opinions! Totally true!! Question about engine bay detailing... I’m nervous to offer that because of liability concerns. Any tricks or wisdom you can share? Thanks!

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks. Yeah actually we recently added a clause to our acknowledgment form that makes the customer click a box for engine cleaning and accepting all responsibility if things go wrong. There is some risk involved even though it’s minor. But people can choice now and when they click that box and sign our form it relieves us.

    What is important Phil is giving a professional service whether you charge 200 or 2000. When a detailer clearly shows his/her prices and services then the customer will know what to expect. As you state many times communication is key. Not rocket science and yes an opinion is not set in stone.

    Great work my man!!. I am a weekend warrior and really appreciate your content. I do have a question though. have you or can you video and post your customers picking up their cars from you guys? I can only imagine this customers reaction seeing it Transformed. They had to be tickled. Just thought it might add a twist to your already great videos.
