Any suggestions about the following scenario: shared mailbox; related user in on-premises and synced with Azure; the user's manager is assigned to the shared mailbox; however, it shows the Object ID instead of the display name; in Azure there are no sync errors. I believe this is because of a change, that was done by Microsoft, but is there a fix?

Yeah, that sounds like a bug in the system. Not sure if there is a fix.

Thanks for the video. I was looking however, for a video on creating a new role + scoping the role to specific mailboxes.
For instance, I want a user to be able to modify 'secondary SMTP addresses' to a shared mailbox they have full access to (but they aren't exchange admins).

Hi Cobuman, I have a concern. I was given a task to forward emails from an external email address to an internal email. Should I enable the email forwarding for the external email address using the "contact "option (in the exchange admin center) or can I just enable forwarding (using the admin center portal) and just add the email I want to forward to. Will it work anyways?

I would add the external email as contact, then go to rules and create a rules "sender is" "this person". After that forward to where ever you need to.

Short answer is yes. But... other Admin roles can assign roles specific to that application. For example Teams Admin, SharePoint Admin, or Exchange Admin.
