I just accepted a Technology Support Specalist lvl ll position at a University. I was more of a Desktop Administrator at the last Job but they labeled everything as "IT Tech" to never pay me more for the work that I actually did. I was able to move up another 10% in wage and will have certification costs paid upfront along with going back to school at my current college paid. I really do appreciate the video! I'm 1h 15m in, going to grab some coffee and finish this today. Next on the list is 3+ hour of scripting review! I even bought a MACBOOK lol.
In 1 month, Microsoft has managed to change the menus enough that it's difficult to follow along with this video. When will developers learn that just changing things around isn't progress?
So well put & accurate This has driven me nuts for decades I presume its b/c if they only change the back end (necessary to keep up with progress & security), it wouldn’t look like they are doing anything, so they rearrange things & add completely counterproductive bells & whistles ad nauseam. Not just microsoft, most of em. Tx for posting it so clearly
When logged into my Microsoft 365 Personal account, I do not have the + symbol on the Home page to add filters in the Quick Access section. If I am logged into my work account, it is there. Likewise, the "My Day" function seems to be only available on my work account. Are theses function only available for Business or Enterprise accounts? It would be great to have a quick tutorial on the major differences between Personal/Family accounts and Business/Enterprise accounts.
Great video. Thank you. I was an administrative exective for 25 years. Now, I can no longer stand being in front of a computer. Too many gadgets. It was quicker with paper than learning & remembering all of these functions + dealing with the non-stop updates 🙄
