    As a computer science PhD student, there are a ton of skills I learn that are both specific to my PhD such as programming, machine learning, and some that are transferable or soft skills such as public speaking and written communication.
    Let me know if you would like to see a video about how I develop these skills and track my progress in them.
    Scientific communication is very important to me, that's why I have started this TH-cam channel so I would very much appreciate if you subscribed and helped to build up this community of PhD/University Students.

    Hey, I hope you're doing well. I was wondering if you could share what machine learning techniques you are learning or wanting to learnt? I am doing a PhD in epidemiology, working with big data - I am hoping to gain more machine learning experience during my PhD and thought this could help inspire me. Absolutely understand if you're not wanting to answer xx Thank you for posting this video!

    Please, tell us how do you deal with stress

      I try to eat well and exercise regularly, and not use too many stimulants (like caffeine) as these can boost stress, I also try to get outside every day, and I use the app calm but it would also be possible to do free relaxation exercises or perhaps yoga.

    Which skills do you think are the most or least important?

    • @ashita1130
      @ashita1130 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Coding is the most important, cannot point out a least important, you have to be an all-rounder to get through PhD I think. Gosh I start next month and I'm binging on your videos. Thank you!!! I AM STRESSED OUT ALREADY. And you were right in the other video, Supervisors definitely only want to hear about results. Gonna get myself a doggo. Would you be open to talk about friendships and dating during PhD if its not too personal? Thanks again :)

    Hello, I am fan of you channel. You are doing some great videos. Many of my friends cannot access TH-cam and have bad English listening. Can I ask whether I can translate your video and share to my friends who are keen to learn PhD life? Can I have your email to explain myself clearer.
