It's impressive that when the textbook I'm using isn't very clear on how to really use something, Misa's videos will explain everything I'm having a hard time with. Its bothered me for decades. Hence I finally decided to search for an explanation and found this gem of a video. Serious appreciation to Misa Sensei.
I love it when you use dramatic examples I love drama so it makes me imagine all these scenarios when these could be used and I feel like that makes it easier to remember the expressions :)

I've been learning a lot from you sensei! Also, one of my Japanese teacher told me Abt this morau and kureru nuances. Morau is more like you getting something but the nuance is they gave it to you bec u somehow asked for it. Also, it does not emphasize who gave u. The emphasis is always the Watashi and not the somebody-ni Whereas, kureru is u getting something without u asking for it. Like there's a nuance that u are grateful for receiving it. Therefore u give emphasis on the person that gave it to u which is why it's someone-ga All in all, kureru shows gratitude to the person who gave u therefore emphasis is given to tht person. Whilst morau is it doesn't matter who gave it, I received it, I got it.

misa, just a little advice. it seems like your room is usually quite noisy because of a computer or AC or something like that, or your mic picks up your voice too low and you (or it does it by itself?) have to bring the volume up, and with that comes the background noise. there are free plugins for "noise removal" that can help you lower this noise, because it acts upon its main frequency as an equalizer. it's easier to use than it sounds trust me lol anyway, i feel like that would help making watching your videos a little bit more pleasant, since that noise can be kind of annoying or even make people feel sleepy. it's nothing too bad since your lessons are still incredibly good, so don't take this too seriously! but consider finding a way to have your audio sound cleaner. thanks for the video!

Extremely easy and well done explanations. I have always wondered how to express doing something for someone and someone doing something for me. And for a simplified summary: てくれる = someone doing something for you/someone did something for someone (without asking) てもらう = someone doing something for you/someone did something for someone (asking) てあげる = you doing something for someone/to sound like a bitch/ass
Thank you for your explanation but I have a question about this. When you say てくれる it really means someone do/ did something for me (as a favor), that means I didn’t really ask. aが本を読んでくれた But when using imperative form we say てくれ。 本を読んでくれ。 The speaker is directly asking the giver to do something. Should it not be もらえ, as you said てもらう is used when I asked and someone did something because I asked. Even though I understand the がhas changed, it’s not the giver anymore. But still. And after I asked 本を読んでくれ and someone followed my command and did it, to mark it, Should I say 読んでくれたor読んでもらった. thank you 🙏
