Hey Red Panda! I bought yesterday an XFX RX 5700 Red Dragon. I have a lot of experience modding bios, but i think this card is locked to some extent. Let me explain. It has dual Bios. OC (left) Silent (Right). On the left you cannot flash ANY BIOS. It's just locked. i've tried with the command -unlockrom 0 but still, no positive result. At the end it says: Rom not erased. It says all the info is if it had flashed, but fails in the end. Now, if you switch to the right bios, now, you can flash whatever bios you want , downloaded from techpowerup. Any version of RX 5700 that is there or even any of the 2 bios you have there for RX 5700XT Red Dragon. You can flash them no problem. Now, the issue. Once you get any bios , ANY, it makes no difference if you use a downloaded one, or the one you already have on the right Bios, once you use RBE (with administrator) and save the new bios with the timings, you CAN'T flash the BIOS because it says there is an RSA verification mismatch. Any idea of what is happening??

After editing the oc bios on my red devil xt it won't left me flash it again locked can only flash silent bios more than once so not sure if it's the same on the 5700 non xt be carful

do you have to do the cmd line stuff if your going to upload the bios through hive. My gpus have never been on a windows machine, just hive and hashr8. Or do I have to do this through a test bench type set up
R.Panda how did you get your Red Devil RX 5700 up to 1920mhz memory ? I got one recently and it’s limited to 1900mhz Ram which it’s handles well.. it’s power hungry tho I’ve not tried undervolt yet it’s registers 125 watts on Phoenix. Also just for your info the Nitro+ 5700xt Spesh Edish handles 1900mhz memory easily as well but at 95 watts 770mv 1300mhz .. I just happened to buy this card before I even started mining and it’s a beast glad I did but it’s an expensive card don’t think I’d shell out the extra now though..

my cards need 1300 core clock to get 56 megahash so you MIGHT expect to get your hashrate with just a 1450 clock?? 1550 seems a bit high . . . but still awesome. mine all pull 140 watts at the wall for 56 megahash. core volts on mine are 785mv memclock 1810
Hi Red Panda. Did this bios mod on a Sapphire Pulse RX 5700 xt, and saw no changes on the mh/s. 49.9mh/s on HiveOs using Phoenixminer. What am I doing wrong?
Sadly most 5700(xt) red devils are hard locked. No matter which vbflash version I use it wont flash the bios. You can undo bios hard lock by shorting pin 1 and pin 8 of the bios chip at boot up. Some 5700xt owners did report that it worked this way around and some ended up with permanently bricked card.
So I have 42 of the rx 5700s.. some sapphire some xfx 1st gen, and some msi.. the memory on all of those lingers at 98c, 104c, the new xfx I avereage 88c so the temps you got were really good. The heat problem is way more pronounced when you put a bunch of then together,(8+) but they run just fine otherwise. AMD says temps on the mem at 110c is ok for the card. IDK.
If I have a gaming pc with ryzen 5 3600, 16gb 3600mhz ram and this gpu, will I destroy my rig if I start mining at night? Consider that I use that pc only 3 days per week, so it would be mining for 3 nights too. And most importantly how much money will I get?

Red Panda Mining I get it. Just saying you have to add ~30 watts to the wattage displayed in the miner for your card power draw to determine its atw power draw. This means the Red Devil is actually drawing 170w atw
@@RedPandaMining The number in the software is not the actual usage. To get a better idea of the actual number try running the system without a discrete GPU assuming the CPU is Intel and has an iGPU. For my G4560 systems that number is usually around 29w idle. That's the baseline. Now install the 5700 and you'll see the number goes up. Now you have the idle consumption of the GPU. My guess is sinistar is right this GPU is using around 165-170w at the wall. That puts the efficiency lower than a Radeon VII or a 1660 Ti/Super. Personally I'd back off the hashrate to get the efficiency up.
I do 54.3Mh/s for 94W on ROG strix :) t-core:44/t-ram72(in open case PC not a RIG) will be 55 for 100 max.. debuging CT T TcT on GDDR6 timing is fun :)) but definetly not ez..

i mean, 5mhs for an increase of 23W hm... i dont think that is worth it ahah, i would rather undervolt it and reduce power to like 110W per rx5700 and cooler temps and lower fan rpms to avoid straining too much on both gpu and fans, just a safer option in my opinion, after all you are running on 24/7, its better safe than sorry and your power bill will be substantially lower for not that less income.

In RBE, K stands for samsung memory, which means he has samsung memory and micron at the same time

If you have a red devil card... Make sure that you have put the bios switch to the quiet one. If you try with performance bios you will get 0FL01

Your atw power draw for the gpu isn’t 140w. 140w is just your chip power. Also I think your power reader is under reporting your power draw

MMPOS IS AWESOME! running it now on my vega 56's beautifully! dont buy these 5700 red devil yet man! im still tryin to get them down in power consumption its still like 150w! testin more but the memory on these are killer.
i mean, 5mhs for an increase of 23W hm... i dont think that is worth it ahah, i would rather undervolt it and reduce power to like 110W per rx5700 and cooler temps and lower fan rpms to avoid straining too much on both gpu and fans, just a safer option in my opinion, after all you are running on 24/7, its better safe than sorry and your power bill will be substantially lower for not that less income.
