Op is not entitled to forgive them if they don’t want to. Even if they get on their knees and apologize, no one is entitled to extend their hand to reconcile. Sometimes the hurt is too deep and the relationship is beyond repair and honestly that’s ok. And with that said if they’re so worried about their damn reputation with op sharing the story of what THEY did, they’re not truly sorry. They’re just trying to act like nothing happened to save their own skin by trying to play family again.

I just want to get this out, I do not want the 100 but, i think op is right, reconciliation may not always be the right path and therapy is needed to help work this out, op could have held a grudge for their whole life but they didn't which is nice of op because most abuse survivors don't reconcile and they hold a grudge forever but op starting a nonprofit goes to show how much she cares and she made a great agreement with her parents that their names wouldn't be used and that just i believed helped even more with the collab. but all in all, it was nice of op to do this stuff and i hope op, and their parents regain each other's trust
