Forging Ezran's Crown

- I had the honor of working with Netflix and Wonderstorm to reforge Ezran's Crown in anticipation for the new Season 4 of The Dragon Prince. Little did they know, I am a huge fan of the show and was so excited to jump on this project! To forge Ezran's Crown, I used traditional blacksmith techniques to forge-weld, shape by file, polish, and sculpt the crown of Katolis. I hope you enjoy this video, and keep an eye out for my next video where I take on another element from The Dragon Prince universe.

First saw your video about Rayla blades, and now I find this. Amazing. It's incredibly cool that just by sharing an interest in the same story (in one perspective or another) and seeing your polite attitude, it's not hard to understand that you are some very cool and kind person!

It probably wasn't possible to do for this project, but one of the short stories had the Council wanting to coronation Ezran by giving him his father's sword. He didn't think that would be the best look for the way he wanted to rule, and so, had the sword made into the new crown.
(I started using Bait too!)

I remember watching this when the news came out. It's crazy to think they're giving it away now. I doubt my friends or I will win but I will always enjoy looking back at this masterpiece. Hope you will be allowed to release the blueprints one day, I'd totally get them.
I’m working on the blueprints! Hopefully will release them this week as a free download, I’ll announce on my instagram story!

How you made this project reminds me of being asked to draw a (perfect) circle. It is considered simple but the exercitation is incredible difficult and requires not just attention to detail but also great talent.

This is all new to me so once I finished watching this, I said to myself, "Self, if there's a King's crown then there must obviously be a Queen's crown." So.... Can we expect that project soon if not next?
King Ezran is about 12 in the show, so I think we have some time before gets a Queen. I’d love to make more items from the show!
