KMM Demo #3: Shea shows off the coal Iron works press and it's steel squishing capabilities!
Hydraulic presses are great alternative for makers in residential areas or with a small workshop foot print. The model used is the 12 tonne coal iron works press, it can be bench mounted, has a range of interchangeable dies (and is easy to make your own for) and a foot pedal attachment available.
We purchased it to make hammers and axes, as it can punch an eye in a single heat, but have also found it very versatile for our Damascus and general blacksmithing classes.
