Frick. This was both a FASCINATING commentary on how humans are affected by different kinds of "social media" in a way that had an unexpected twist while also being outrageous, weird, and hilarious at the end. I was like "JULIE...rats?! RATS?! NO. Don't do that. He's going to murder you. OMG, FARTS?! WTH?! RUN!!!" hahaha

No problem with the rats but has a problem with the farting - interesting. Imagine a future where wives and girlfriends allow their guy to have rats in their bed.

Anyone else see this as a relationship pattern? You meet someone who kinda annoys you but keeps hitting you up. Eventually you start to enjoy that person, it becomes fun and familiar… then they disappear.

I don't even know what cameo is. I'm old. I've also decided I do NOT want to know Julie's favorite food, movie and music is. Because reverse stalker Julie is scary.
It's a site where you pay money for video requests to creators, politicians, historians, sport personalities etc.

Both are Masterpieces.
Just watched Bo Burnham: Inside yet again last night! Love love love that you highlighted these two together. Each are excellent! Julie is really the most original content I ever see for these kinds of skits. So glad I found her a while back.
Wow, yes. How the fan-creator parasocial relationship turns inside out, how we self-curate. Bo and Julie need to work together on something, I would watch the hell out of that and/or have its babies.
Julie's acting is spot on. I truly felt her sadness and it hurt.

Sammy is clearly a manipulative genius, but he got sloppy at the end. Everyone knows you don't mention your fart bag until after the rat feeding. Rookie mistake.

I think we've ALL learned the hard way that you never ask for a bagged fart until a second date.
I discovered you through a Ryan George collab two days ago, and have watched over 100 videos of yours since then (not an exaggeration). Your writing, acting, and editing talents are undeniable. You play characters so well it is hard to know who the real you is. I was thinking how unfair it is that you are on youtube with still under a million subscribers, whereas far less talented people got their show on cable or Netflix (London Hughes, Ziwe, Sarah Cooper). But on the plus side, you probably have the kind of creative freedom that you would not with a network. In any case, just wanted to wish you all the best, the world is a brighter place with you in it.
I love how real you are. This is a high quality production that made me ask the existential questions.
The start of this felt like it could be a black mirror episode almost. So good!

Use the same starting premise with the "36 questions to fall in love", but have it take a darker turn at the end. Or maybe not, Black Mirror could use a few more happy episodes. 36questionsinlove.com

Sometimes I forget about this channel then see videos like this recommended and think 'oh just another youtuber doing extra stuff(like cameo, or making apology videos)' then when i eventually click on it after like a week of it being recommended I realize 'nope this is one of the amazing ones' KEEP IT UP!
I am 100% in the same boat. I'm like 'wt* algorithm, I don't care about this random youtuber apology video' or whatever, then I'm like 'well I'll give it a look, since it's by Julie', and I find myself cracking up.

On one hand, it's freaking HILARIOUS! On another hand, it is some amazing commentary, while on one hand it makes a pretty sad but astute statement, but then on another hand that ending is super creepy, which on another hand is another piece of awesome commentary, and holy crap I do not have this many hands

I can't even imagine how long this took to make. There are so many wardrobe and location changes and you managed to find these genuine emotional beats. I don't know how you kept track of everything. You went from personable to frustrated to resigned then incrementally went back up to true happiness. It never felt like I was watching a sketch. It's an epic. I wish I had better words to describe it's simple elegance. Amazing.
I know you had thoughts about whether you were a one hit wonder with the pandemic vids, but clearly if you continue to put out content this amazingly good then you've nothing to worry about. Thank you for continuing to be a highlight in my feed.

I am stunned by this sketch. It was silly, emotionally distressing, heart warming, creepy and hilarious! You know you've done something well when it provokes someone to do research. I had no idea what Cameo was until now.
I thought the ending was gonna go so much darker. Julie in a cage with fast seven playing as she is forced to live off pizza.

Oh my god this is so deep! That sometimes all we need from a relationship is consistency. we get used to someone regularly showing up in our lives, despite he does nothing (in this case literally nothing - he is sending same copypaste questions once a week). But somehow it's enough for us to establish deep connection, trust, feeling that this person is special and you need him. Despite there're no personal traits you find in him that you usually look for when you want a relationship. Like you see he is definitely not your type and he even violates your values but somehow here you are in relationship you can't end.

This is superb. It reminds me of Bo Burham’s Inside, which is getting a lot of buzz presently. I’m glad to see comedy on the internet is increasingly challenging the subtle ways interacting online can be simultaneously isolating and conjoining - and also fucking terrifying.

Everytime I watch a new video from you and your friends I am exposed to new levels of mastery. Those "Hi, Sammy" transitions from awkwardness to something your character looked forward to were so good. Paired with the musically perfectly. Always impressed by how well the execution is on a comedy sketch lol.
I don't think that it is a coincidence that so many of the great modern actors started in comedy - your Schwarzeneggers, Schimmers, Sandlers, and all the rest. It's their innate comic timing that paves the way to drama, lol.
Everyone's already told you, but I wanted to help your algorithms, so I'll comment, too. The editing in this sketch was incredible, and the music was poignant. This is like a Black Mirror episode, except it's well done (I don't like Black Mirror), and it's very concise. Kind of a masterpiece.
