@@Sheriff_K it was a very real thing! Happened in one of the southern states, I want to say Louisiana but don't quote me on that. But it's worth a Google. There were ALSO cocaine alligators! Oh, and don't forget that Australia was literally on fire. And California pretty much hasn't stopped burning. And the CIA did publicly release evidence of aliens, alien technology that we've had for like, ever. So the joke about aliens Really is true, but it was brushed under the rug and for some reason NO ONE ever talked about. Let’s just say, Hera also put her hope in Zeus away, too. But she accidentally just mixed it in with all the stuff in the box she gave Pandora. Good call. Makes more sense. Humans have been tricked all along.

@@angel_cat the big gods literally made her as a punishment, out of clay, with a huge dollop of curiosity so she wouldn't be able to resist opening the box they gifted and told her not to open. Prometheus gave man fire which peed off Zeus.
They tied Prometheus to a rock and some ... Nasty stuff 🥺
But that wasn't enough so they made Pandora as a 'gift' to Prometheus' brother, which ended up actually being a way to punish humanity (and the being Prometheus most cared about)
At least by some versions, it's myth after all

I remember way back in December of 2019. My brother just got braces. He was so worried about how other people would feel about them that he said he'd pray to god so that other people won't see his braces. Good news. Other people didn't see his braces. Bad news. God delivered.

The box was made by the gods of Olympus because they were pandoras husband was the brother of Prometheus and the Gods hated Prometheus so they made the box for Pandora and made her open it and then made humanity blame her.... Pretty messed up by the Greek gods huh

Obv the murder hornets and cocaine pigs were put in there as a proof that the box was opened. They wouldn't have shown up unless the box opened. It's the same thing as the musician requesting all brown m&ms in their dressing room as a proof that their contract was read.

The stories humans tell themselves about the origins of evil are fascinating in their similarities and differences. The Hellenics believe that evil was unleashed because a woman's natural (read: God-given) curiousity drove her to rebel by doing the one thing she had been forbidden to do, but at least at the bottom of the box was Hope, which flew out last.
Contrast this with the story most of us would've learned in Sunday School: evil was unleashed because the woman was sold a lie by the serpent and did one of the two things she had been forbidden to do, and roped her husband in with her. They ate the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, but at least they did not eat of the Tree of Life (the other, more forbidden thing) because then they would've been immortal. So they were kicked out of Paradise before they had the chance to make things worse.
Just off of those two stories alone, one can infer so much about the people that told them and the cultures that developed around them.
The origins of technology in religious mythology are also fascinating. Pour one out for our homie Prometheus, tortured for his temerity until freed by humanity's mightiest hero: Heracles.

Can’t tell if this is meant to be sarcastic but you have a point a lot of Greek myths involve victim blaming (Pandora being the victim because Zeus probably knew what was going to happen and had her made as the first woman to be curious basically setting the whole thing up for her to open it)Helen for example i would say it was a reflection on the time but what from know Greece was not that sexist I might be wrong though so don’t believe me with that 100%

Funny thing is, Pandora was created *specifically* to fuck everything up. The gods noticed men were being a little too successful, so they created Pandora, the first woman, and hence women in general, LITERALLY JUST TO FUCK THINGS UP FOR MEN. Pandora was given the box (though this was Ancient Greece, so it was more like an amphora) specifically so she would eventually open it in spite of the warning, and release everything horrible upon men.
TLDR: Zeus shouldn't be concerned, in fact, he should be giving Pandora a raise, 'cause she has gone above and beyond what he sent her to do.
