I think she's a comedic GENIUS: the ability to CREATE, and discern characters, craft monologues into a cohesive dialog, man, that takes TALENT. She has it.
We will see her in movies one day
The way she must shoot all the lines of one character and then all the lines of the other, requires a lot of forethought and understanding of the dynamics. Then, somebody has to do a sweet job of editing, which is conspicuous in the decisions about when to have the speaker be the off-camera person.
And then there's the content, which is exceptional.

There never was a blender.

It really makes you think about what you’re asking someone else to be, understanding and knowing what you want, really healing from past relationships, how sometimes people can’t live up to our expectations cause they’re asking too much of us, and finally, if someone doesn’t truly want you, it’s hard, but you’ve got to step away

People rarely know they are on the rebound. They are in pain, they want that to stop. Rather then learning to love themselves and move through that pain and rejection, they jump into another relationship. Mirror Julie was dead on. Rebound relationships rarely last longer then a couple months, because the person on the rebound at some point figures out they need to be alone to process the first ending (rarely), or the first partner wants them back now they are dating someone else (more often), or maybe they still feel pain and think someone completely new will take that pain away (probably the most often). People need to learn to lo e themselves more instead of just passing that pain around. Also, mirror julie was on too of her game this time!

Funny and heartfelt at the same time I love that you make me feel just as much as you make me laugh. I know from personal experience how much therapeutic value a bit of fun can have when you are in a bad place. That would essentially make you a fairy godmother of potentially thousands of people when they once a week pop by your little corner of the internet and end up leaving in a better mood than they arrived. That must be a pretty great way to put your mark on the world.

Yeah, alcoholism is no joke. I was in the bottom of a bottle for a long time after leaving an abusive spouse- alcohol : 1) does not help 2) no, it doesn’t help even a little and gets out of hand Fast 3) ain’t nothing to joke about, it ruins lives. Imagine if a person had a bad break up and then was like casually “I’m shooting up some dope to cope HAHAHA” and other people going “haha haha! That’s funny!”. Why don’t they make strawberry flavored heroin anyways? Hmmm
@@praetentious2925 my dad was an alcoholic. I drink once a year at most because of the trauma. I can only handle watching because I know she’s acting.

Julie tells Mirror Julie that she physically can't hold her hand. This has more than one interpretation. 1: Julie can't hold Mirror Julie's hand because the latter only exists inside the mirror and Real Julie can't pass her hand through the surface of the glass. 2. Mirror Julie does not exist so Real Julie can't hold a hand that does not exist. 3 (The one I like the best). Since Mirror Julie and Real Julie are characters portrayed by the same actress, they exist at different times. When Nolke is reciting the line for Real Julie, Mirror Julie isn't there. She does not exist in that instant. Later or before, Nolke put on the robe and recited the request to hold hands but the character Real Julie did not at that time exist. The two characters can never physically interact because they never actually exist at the same time. They can only be edited into the same time line.

My interpretation was 3 because of Real Julie's glances at the camera. It was a look that said to me "these people know what's going on here and that you're actually just a character"

I really feel like you could have a TV sitcom where you played all of the characters in the show.
Almost peed myself when mirror Julie started up the blender! I need a Daiquiri
Oof. Out of the blue my friend told me he had feelings for me we started talking decided to go on a "date" yet that day it was very clear to me he still had feelings for his ex. On top of that it felt more like we were just hanging out rather than on a date. Anyways, it was a fun day, but afterwards I just told him that it was very obvious that he wanted his ex even if he wasn't fully aware of it. I told him that I felt kinda bad because I knew he wanted "her" but I also wasn't gonna let 14 years of friendship go down the toilet. He heard me out and it opened his eyes. He apologized, I forgave him and we are still good friends. I'm happy because he gets to focus on himself and figure out what he wants in life and I was able to stand up for myself in a way and not allow myself to settle for being second best.
I'm honestly surprised that Mirror Julie uses a glass. Seems more like a straight outta the pitcher kinda gal.
I loved the way she methodically slurped the outside of the glass before she went for the straw.

Being a rebound sometimes works out. I had five years of off on trials and tribulations mixed in with a lot of fun with a guy who was on the rebound. I'm still with him after 45 years and still going strong. I guess the difference is I knew he wasn't ready for a new relationship at the time and had enough self belief that I was a better match and he would realise that eventually! Love your channel Julie.
