  • I was there day one for some Xbox systems, and waited years for others! In the end though, there are always great games worth picking up. Here's a breakdown of the first games I got alongside each of my Xbox Systems

For me and XBox firsts it was...
XBox: Halo CE. The year was 2002.
I mainly wanted to get it to play the exclusive new Sega Games, but I was interested in Halo and I was glad to get it. Eventually got Halo 2.
XBox 360: Halo 3. The year was 2007.
Funny enough, I bought the game(Legendary Edition) before getting the System. I eventually bought the system and it had a pack-in game with it. Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance double Pack.
XBox One: Titanfall. The year was 2013.
Many retailers were doing a "Buy the system, get a free game, from a selection of titles". So I picked Titanfall. I pre-ordered Halo The Master Chief Collection that day as well though.
XBox Series: ...I don't have one yet...(as of now). But likely, I would get Halo Infinite with it whenever I do.

Loving this series you got going Blink!
for me, I personally never owned any of the xbox consoles (Sony fanboy), but I did go over to a friends house to play Call Of Duty split screen multiplayer all the time on his xbox, and then we had a 360 donated to the local youth centre and I brought in Skate 2 and some Call Of Duty titles as well as a copy of Forza for them to play on. Then my best friend got a xbox one, so I bought him Rare Replay and we played a bunch of Banjo and Conker. :D

Great video Blink! I love the anecdotes and memories that come along with a format like this.
I believe my first OG Xbox game was jet set radio future proving that I've been a hipster since before it was cool.
First 360 game was Oblivion which couldnt have been a better pick for me at that time in my life.
I got the Series X to play Forza Horizon 5 but i think the first disc game I bought to play on the system was a game of the year copy of Fallout New Vegas for 360. This purchase is quite exemplary of my Series X experience.
Also, i think i speak for everyone when i say we demand full Xbox collection videos.

Haha oh I can def do a full Xbox collection video at some point! I could look out the Xbox One video as a short tbh 😔😅
Thanks for watching! I know these types of videos aren't for everyone so appreciate you being a real one and enjoying it

I'm a little embarrassed that I can't recall my first Xbox game. I'm fairly certain I didn't buy one along with the console and I might have already had magazine demo discs by the time I got it.
The Xbox 360 was the opposite. I was late to get it and I got Guitar Hero 3 and the Rock Band kit before even getting the console. And those Burger King games too, if you count those as 360. Wait, no, I think I got the GH2 port first, then probably GH3 after getting the console.
And without looking it up, I'm unsure of my first Xbox One physical game. Maybe Rock Band 4, but maybe something else, not sure.

I have a lot of respect for all the Guitar Hero and Rock Band games landing in your potential first spots! Never can have enough music rhythm games in your life

    Fuzion Frenzy DOES rip!
Also, first game I got with my Xbox was not Halo, but Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure. My parents at the time were very hesitant to buy me an M rated game; eventually I got Halo but it took some convincing, haha!

Honestly you could do worse than Disney's ESA! I dunno what it says about my parents but they never batted an eye at an M rated game. I'm in middle school saying "MOM lets go to Kmart I wanna buy Devil May Cry" and she's like "...yeah ok"

@@Blinkoom Yeah, by the time middle school rolled around, the ratings didn't stop much of anything. And you are right about ESA, but I think I was just a little disappointed at the time; in hindsight I wish I could have enjoyed it more; the Toy Story maps in particular still hold up pretty well.

Such a talented story teller! I loved every single second of this video good work dude.
Hearing these story brought me back some crazy nostalgic memories and thank you for that. The setup for the LAN with the loft sounds amazing.

Loved your Xbox 360 launch story! Your poor hands 😆 What games did you your buddy pick up that morning?

      @Blinkoom  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

He also picked up Condemned! He also was a shooter guy (especially Siphon Filter) so he also grabbed Call of Duty 2, and if I recall correctly, also Project Gotham Racing 3. GREAT launch line up! If I was picking up games for launch with my tastes in 2024, I also would have definitely grabbed King Kong and Kameo right away too

@@Blinkoom Oh nice, yeah really was a great set of games available from the outset. Yeah, King Kong would’ve been a great game to satisfy that next gen appetite!
