- what started out a fairly tame day turned into an interesting one to say the least! we've had some good rain here in Central Australia, and I'm out on the station to carry out some maintenance and see where the rain has fallen.

Great Video. Rain in the outback is amazing. It changes the scenery completely and is so good for the cattle and wildlife. Could have watched it all day. Lucky enough to have been at the rock many years ago when it rained. Thanks for another wonderful experience.

Conditions like you had is what makes great 4WDs stand out over mediocre ones. The harder the conditions the better great 4WDs shine. Good one. 👍
Spot on mate, there's something about being caught out like this in the middle of knowhere, so much fun, the adventure, the unknown, but knowing you can rely on your rig to get you home.
A winch and a land anchor would be a good idea, muddies might be noisy on the tar but might save you getting stuck in this sort of stuff.
I'll definitely fit a winch one day mate, and I do like my Toyo MT's in the wet weather.

Had a surprice like that on wet clay in Qld not long ago but with half worn AT tyres, NOT a good thing! Got stuck a few times. Shovel, tracks etc nothing to winch of. When i got back i got a set of MT's right away, I'm not going to get caught out like that again!

I used to drive through the water as it cleaned they tyre treads and wheel arches. More in black soil, the red soils you have don't stick like the black soils.
Yeah mate on the way home through the rain and puddles, it all got cleaned up pretty nicely, though tomorrow I will give her a proper wash!
Is it a V8 or the 2.8 litre? Also it looks so good with the wheels and stuff done to it, best facelifted 79 I’ve seen!

That's ok mate no worries, I honestly reckon if your not in line with an order on a v8 you'll miss out, I think we are definitely seeing the last of the v8. They'll be phased out soon and there will only be the 4 cylinder.
