I'm not sure if you're trolling, but... You are silly mate, I'm doing them a favour. I'm sorry to be so blunt, but use your damn brain. Those animals are sick, as I explained, open your ears and eyes and be open to learning new things outside your comfort zone. Now, granted, you are probably wondering why the camels were shot. Here's why, which I've explained countless times. The Australian camel is a feral species not native to Australia. They must be culled to keep the numbers in control, that goes for feral horses... any feral species, in fact. The Australian government actually funds their own culls also. Not only are camels an invasive species, they can cause damage, and their numbers spiral out of control with no natural predators. If you have 1 million camels running around in the drought times, you've got hundreds of thousands of camels dying terrible deaths, perishing, hence the management. Not shooting these animals would be animal neglect. Part of my job is managing animal welfare in the middle of an extremely remote area of Australia. Did you actually watch the whole video? You've got it backwards mate, not shooting these animals would warrant a call to the RSPCA, be my guest and call them Jose. Thanks for watching.
@@OutbackOffroadNTwe've got 40,000 hectares in QLD and do the same for crook livestock. The nearest vet is 210km away & he'll fly out in an emergency , but still charges a substantial fee. If only more people knew how difficult it can be being isolated & dealing with sick or injured livestock on a regular basis . Culling in a lot of cases is the most humane thing to do. Great video mate .
Yes that DC charger will be derating and shutting down in the heat. They are inefficient (cheaply made) with the conversion loses so generate more heat. They need 5 B&S (16mm2) cabling to minimse the loses and heat. Grab a Redarc 25.or 40A engine bay model, expensive but go all day. I would not run the new compressor off the itech battery, yes they might be rated to do it but they use B grade cells and it'll shorten their life. Undersized cabling under the hood in the itechs doesn't help either. Loving the vids mate.
Good vid. The heat in your canopy could be affecting your DCDC charger, they really need some air circulation in hot conditions, but mounted on battery box is probably reducing its ability to cool. You could try moving it to outside front of canopy behind cabin for circulation, but stay within 1m of battery box. cheers
Definitely run compressor off start battery with engine running as you would a winch, they pull a heap of amps and the lower the volts the higher the amps
Oh dont you worry mate it's on my mind! I only recently went to starlink internet for my house internet in town, absolutely game changer for us, telstra was shocking.
I have the same dcdc and the last trip questioned whether it was charging or whether my solar was doing all of the work on my van's setup. Another guy on a channel had the same problem with his Itech dcdc which was working intermittently and after a while he just changed it out. Like all dcdc they can suffer from heat and I have added spacers to the mount to give it 10mm of air flow behind it. I run my double pumper straight from the crank battery battery with the car running as the box won't cope. My 3 Itech batteries work fine after 3 years.
Do you run the compressor with the alligator clamps or did you hard wire it to the battery? Maybe I'll hard wire it and just run it off the crank battery.
Hi mate, my name is Michael. I have a steel picket straightening business. If you have a pile of bent steel pickets I can straighten them so you can reuse them. Maybe we could do a video with you straightening posts.
Hi mate. No im not . Iam based at Bundaberg Queensland. I need to get enough work together to make a run over that way. We will travel all over Australia. @OutbackOffroadNT
When I was in Darwin, we always had Ants getting into Air con switchboards and contactors. We used to carry Ant sand and tip it through them. That slowed them down anyway. Maybe give that a go?
Itech world stuff is shit, been there, disappointed by their stuff. Sounds like the battery got too hot and the internal overheat function in the Battery Management System tripped. Black canopy out there dont help, if the weather is heating up. If it happens again open up the canoppy doors and park in the shade if y'all can.
Is that possible when they are drinking bore water? I think I would have autopsied the joint to see if there was anything obvious like a break or infection.
Nice one bro. Yeah I got the exact box, but running a red arc 25 amp bcdc charger, I bought it with andersons already on it (from home of 12v) and never had any dramas at all, been on some gnarly corrugations too. It is in the cab of my ute not canopy but still exposed to some high af temps when I’m not driving. Expeno though. Fck me that’s a big set of horns on that bull!
Haha, Kings goes alright ya reckon? I'm willing to give most stuff a go as long as it's decent gear. My last two Hilux's ran a very simple redarc dcdc charger set up and never had dramas.
@OutbackOffroadNT Well, I run two setups in two cars and run them constantly for months on months, no dramas. Well, you are fighting the heat. Your set up in the canopy could be over 50 degrees, hence failing to charge. Maybe you need to add an exhaust fan to the canopy
Yeah that's the go mate, yeah look that's right, it gets proper hot. I've insulated and painted the canopy roof with heat reflective paint which has all helped. However maybe it's not enough.
Why are you shooting animals... Absolutely disgusting. We should call the RSPCA

@@OutbackOffroadNT great explanation mate , ol Jose got no real idea about what goes on at Stations but as always they are quick to comment 😵💫😵💫🤪👍
Stick to youtube Jose, the real world is a scary place.

😂
thank you for taking the time to make these and show how the realities of supporting our food chain happens. Great work!
No worries mate, thank you for taking the time to watch 👍
Awsome raw content mate. Always look forward to your eps and that taste of NT station reality.
Good onya mate, thanks 🍻
awesome mate. after watching your episodes i took the family to N.T for ten days..will be going back soon we loved it.
That's incredible mate, good stuff. 👍

Beauty mate thanks for that info, will take it all on board in my decision on what to do with this set up. Cheers
Spot on advice. I run a couple of 12 volt fans over mine to stop the de rating.
A tip from the topend, pump shitloads talcum powder inside the box and ants cant stand it, helped us heaps out bush
Bloody legend mate, thank you for the tip!
awesome episode, yes 43 degrees is starting to get warm
Cheers mate 🤝
From ants to camels and everything in between ! Thanks for taking us along.
No worries at all mate, thanks for watching I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Epic video. Worth the wait.
Legend, thank you mate
I enjoyed that mate , it was good
Cheers mate
Even the little bull nodded when you said "to put him out of his misery". rip fella
Yeah i noticed that to mate, got me thinking...

Yeah, heat is definitely something I was worried about before the install as I mentioned.

Yeah I might hard wire it to the crank battery and run it from the canopy like I usually would. I never air up without the engine on anyway.
You should get a starlink it's handy and you can mount it on the ute for internet on the station
Oh dont you worry mate it's on my mind! I only recently went to starlink internet for my house internet in town, absolutely game changer for us, telstra was shocking.
loved then video mate

Interesting mate, I'm still trying to figure out which direction to go with this set up. Thanks for the input it's much appreciated 🍻

Victron or enderdrive is the way to go expensive but won't let you down. Heat is your enemy
Yeah hot as a bastard mate.
Great video to mate love this type of stuff @OutbackOffroadNT
No worries thanks mate 👍
The two pressure gauges were in agreement!
The Mickey needed putting down, but also blood test, could be a mineral deficiency

Fuck love your vids mate. Real life
Haha, cheers mate. It's been a while since me last one so I was glad to get another up, thanks 🍻
KINGS BRO, stuff the big names pay more money for what
Itechworld ain't a big name mate, I'm not running redarc gear, this whole 12 volt set up cost me roughly $2000, I just wanted to give it a go.
