Time to try something new? This tutorial will show you how to use dot painting techniques in a new way to create the illusion of Southwest bead work. I used a real cow skull for this project, through imitation resin skulls are available online.
Paints used:
Martha Stewart beetle Black,Chamomile, Rock candy Blue, Acorn, Chestnut brown, Indigo, Wedding Cake, Scottish Highlands.

Sorry for your lost. This is a beautiful way to remember his love of your life as a family. This turned out beautiful. This is something I wanted to make but I thought about actual beads. When my best friend mother passed away she left me all her beads. I love your idea better. I'll use her beads in actual beading. My daughter just got me a set of dotting tools. Condolences for you and your family. I'm so very sorry you lost him. What you've done with this piece is a beautiful tribute, however, and I have no doubt he would love it! I paint and practice pyrography on skulls, and as odd as it is to some, taking something that is dead and making art is like giving it life. You're making something beautiful from loss. And you're a natural. I encourage you to continue the art if you can. I would love to see more pieces!
