Thanks for showing us Chinese New Year celebrations. I’ve been to Chiang Mai many, many times and it’s my favorite city. Miss it so much but once my responsibilities are completed in the US, I plan on coming back for good. I typically stayed at the Le Meridien hotel since I had a good paying job but now that I’m retired, I will be much more budget conscious. Hoping your channel continues to grow you have good presence on camera and an upbeat personality. Consider doing the Mae Hong Son loop in November-December.

Another great video love the Chiang mai content, A little off topic but you should do a video on imo Chiang Mai’s best Kuai chap 40baht, the nicest old Thai guy chef and owner with a interesting backstory, the shop it’s on Chang moi kao road opposite a school about a 5 minute walk from the tha phae gate and also a great coffee shop near there brewginning coffee probably the best coffee I’ve had in Chiang Mai.

Was watching an American guy from one of the most dangerous cities in the USA last night live streaming. He's on holiday in Udon Thani and was blissfully unaware that it's the Chinese New Year or what happens during it. He was sat working his way through a bottle of Thai Whisky at a outdoor bar and someone set fireworks off near him. He hit the ground thinking it was a drive by 😂😂😂 poor chap.

It's moderate to unhealthy. It's still not super bad but not good.

I got a ticket for leaving my scooter in a no parking space near the irish club. But the sign was in Thai. Anyway, about getting out of town...a friend would bus it to Vietnam. That french colonial town in the mountains. But flying anywhere in S E A. is very cheap. You might consider a hop to a neighboring country.. I was in Siem Reap then Vientien. Very affordable. (No bar girls). Hope i can teturn later this year. Thanks.

You should visit Mountain cafe and go in the am when they are roasting coffee. It’s on the east side of old town. It’s a great outdoor setting and I’ve met so many people there

Just watched Richie Parkinson (Englishman) vlogging from Koh Phayam Island South Thailand, place looks chilled as, might be a good spot to get away from the smoke.
I like Richie, cool chilled guy. He reached out to me, when he was in Chiang Mai. I was out of town, so sadly couldn't meet him. Maybe we'll bump into each other soon. I'm not sure if I'll be heading to one of the islands, but I'm not ruling anything out. Cheers Steve.

February 2005 , lying in bed in my Pattaya hotel when all of a sudden those bloody Chinese bangers went off in the Soi outside the hotel, it frightened the crap out of me , I thought we were being invaded 😂😂😂😂 . Walking Street was blocked off for days , a right pain in the arse .
Those fire crackers are all I've heard fro the last 48 hour 🤣.
It's 10pm, I just got back from Chinatown. I was going to go out in the morning but the smoke was too bad. Will edit the video tomorrow....spoiler alert, a lot of beautiful ladies.
