There's a little place there that does delicious Isaan sausage at 10 baht per stick. That comes with the usual cabbage, ginger and chilli. We did a vlog on that place a few months back.
There is also a great fruit shake place across the street.

Had no idea Wat Ket went all the way out to the Narrawat bridge. I live at the other end, near the Nong Hoi market, in the Riverside Condo. Can't beat the location, hi way and Old City are a short jump away, as is Plaza 89.
It's weird because Wat Ket starts half way over the Iron Bridge 🤣. Nong Hoi is one of my favorite areas, i love it down that way.
@Walk-About Wayne I used to work in Lamphun and rented a condo at Riverside (2018). When I retired here last September I went right back there and found a great deal on a rental; 125 sq m right on the river for 15,000 b. Condo is dated but damn the view and location are perfect.
Wayne, I love this area a lot. This clip reminds me of my childhood when I went to the market with my mom after school nearly every day. Thanks a lot for this clip. What a Bobby Dazzler mate .Although I could live at most areas you've featured this one ticks most of my boxes . Maybe a little further away from city centre & closer to rural escape route would tick the last box .
Good price on 1 yr old Aerox with 4170kms @59k . List new is 85500 I think .
If you saw a new one advertised @ 65k I would be thinking of the old saying " if it sounds to good to be true etc etc "

Nice one Paul! Wat Ket is cool but still in the city really yes. Depends on the Aerox also buddy, they do some different specs. The ABS model would be a must for me. I think the one i seen was ALMOST new. I really liked this one in the lady's shop though.

Thanks Steve, I'm sure you'll love it here mate. I will be doing a Doi Saket vlog at some point mate. The Drone bikes are ok, they use cheaper parts though. That's why I prefer Yamaha and Honda.

Awesome vlog. I used to live near that area. There are much much more food in the evening/early night at the first market. But they closed on Sunday. Also from 2am-5am, you will find soooo cheap ready to eat food (more of the local menus)

Honestly 50 baht...x 3 150 baht a day for food - quids in as we Brits say. $5 a day for 3 meals...cant be bad. Love Wayne's videos the inside look at Chiang Mai - if not for the blistering heat...it would be a no brainer. I'd be wearing linen shirts and need 3 a day...40c I'm over that in Australia people what Wayne does in the heat is bloody hard - top bloke.
Hi Steve, yes mate you could live on 200 baht a day if needed. You would prob need some fruit and a few other little things but its easily done. Chiang Mai is crazy hot mate, this year has broken records. I still hit the streets in the midday sun though. Thanks buddy.

I like that area. Nice hotels also. And just a hop, skip, and broke.,.uh jump from the girls. Anyway, I just met a young man who remembered me from a boxing club 5 years ago. He said I haven't changed. Just more " buffed" from the gym work. So still a "handsome young man" for the girls. They miss " little bobby" and my 3" long times. Tell them I will return. Forgot...C.M. looks like a new city in places. And the areas I missed that you have shown. So going to need some new boots for walking.

You reckon its worth braving thru the motion sickness to get there or should I just continue chilling in CM ..
Pai road isn't to bad, you just need to keep alert and don't take the hairpins to fast. Watch out for sand patches and gravel, break nice and early for hairpins. Go at a nice steady pace and watch out for crazy minibus drivers. I would go on a sunny day also, not when the road is wet and green.

Thanks for another district show. I took a shine to Hang Dong. Still my fav so far. Hope the ants go away. Are they in most buildings or is there a floor level where you don’t have to worry about ants anymore? Guess I’d get use to more insects quick.. especially with the better lifestyle over there.
Cheers mate. Hang Dong is a great area and the one Expats seem to like the most. I'm on floor 6 and the Ants are here, they will get anywhere mate. Once they get into buildings it's hard to keep them out but if you keep it clean, you can keep them at bay. Cheers.

Wayne I prefer these type of restaurant mate the real Thai authentic food and the real Thais . Wayne that beef looks lovely you don’t need lots of meat 100 grams the rest rice and you could ask for 100 thai baht worth mate
Yep, can't beat the street food places. The beef wasn't the best but can't expect much for 50 Baht. It was nice though.

Yes, anyone can play the Thai National Lottery. I looked into the lottery taxes and for the official National lottery the tax is only half a percent. I saw that someone else said the tax was 30% but I can find NO evidence of that anywhere. Maybe it's 30 THB and not 30%. I watched a video of an expat buying a lottery ticket and winning fairly big by Thai standards, and the tax was just 0.5%.
