- Join me on an exciting night out as I explore the vibrant nightlife of Bangkok, Thailand, in the popular Sukhumvit area! I hopped on the BTS Skytrain and made my way to Terminal 21, where I indulged in some delicious food before hitting the streets for an unforgettable night walk.
My first stop? The renowned Soi Cowboy Bar street! Even though it was still early evening, the energy was already buzzing, giving me a taste of what's to come later in the night. I soaked in the sights and sounds, sharing my thoughts along the way.
As I continued walking down Sukhumvit, I found myself in the lively Nana area of Bangkok. Along the journey, I met fascinating people and had the chance to share my opinions about the experience so far.

Love Bangkok my favourite city 🎉
Nice one 👌
I spent 3 years in Bangkok after 3 years in Chiang Mai...wasn't sure I'd ever be able to make that change, but once I did I never looked back. Absolutely loved my time in BKK. Like you said, traffic is a nightmare & so is the MRT/Sky train at peak, but other than that, it's mega!! So many Soi's close to you worth a look, Soi 4, Soi 8, Soi 11, Soi 20, Soi 22, Soi 63 (Ekkami) to name just a few...Enjoy!!
I think Bangkok would grow on me, for sure. Thanks
@@WalkAboutWayne so many places you can visit Wayne in Bangkok I used that train when I was there I loved it I got the bus as well 5 baht and 10 baht 😂
@@WalkAboutWayneWayne my friend, I wanted to ask I watched alot of videos and seen the squat toilets everywhere, do most places have those, or the western toilets, my 2 toddlers will have a hard time in squat toilets, how about in night markets, do they have places available to use the bathroom? just tryin to prepare my family for our upcoming trip, soo excited to meet you in October mate...
The river ferry is a great way to get around...and cheaper 😊
Nice 🙂
And the canals.
Loving these! And you don’t know how much it helps seeing the “menu” selection and prices. Growing up in Los Angeles it’s nice to know that my new home country will allow me to continue my guilty pleasure with the devils lettuce! Whether it’s for recreation or back to medicinal only, I’m set! I’m sure it’s even cheaper in Hua Hin. Enjoy your travels away from Chiang Mai! The smoke will clear before you know it.
Cheers Dean, mate. Yes, you'll be fine with herbs here mate. It seems to be on every street. Thanks man, enjoy Hua Hin.
Nice one Wayne.
My fav vlogs of yours has always been the ones where you sing your arsh off. Voice of an angel.
Take it easy.
It's all about Singing and the Arsh, mate. 🤣
Thank you very much promotes travelers in thailand
Thank you 👍
Brought back great memories from last January, very bittersweet watching you walking about. Thanks for this.
Glad you enjoyed it
I lived in Bang Jak in 1999. I watched the BTS being built while I travelled up & down Sukuwit Rd to Siam Sq where I worked. Amazing times with 2 stroke tuk tuks & motorbikes, that was proper pollution man.
Nice! Back in the day 👍
I stayed right next to Terminal 21 last year, it's a pretty cool area and easy to get about. Chang Mai was lovely, but I really enjoyed Bangkok. Having said that I'm definitely a city person, there's a reason I live near London.
Yes, I like that area too. Perfect for getting around. Big city life is not for me, but it's great to be in BKK for a few days. It feels like I'm back in London 👍
Wayne, I love watching your videos. You are so enthusiastic wherever you go. You just give your honest opinion. As always, Bobby dassler mate keep on walking 😊
Thanks Craig, much appreciated mate.
Wayne this is such a busy video I had to take a break half way through and head back to the kanchanaburi video to relax a bit. 😊 nice one mate thanks 🙏
🤣 A little bit different from Kanchanaburi ay mate.
Nice wander WW - you were making getting around look easy 👌 lots to take in & plenty to see ✌️👋👋👍
Cheers Ant. I got to grips with moving around more now.
Walkabout in Bkk the noise is awesome there in the city that never sleeps
It sure is noisy
@@WalkAboutWayne BOOM mate BOOM... 😆👍
Cannot believe it's been 20 years since I was last in Soi Cowboy , it hasn't changed . Had a good time in the bar at the end of the street ( where the guy was showing you the photos of the ladies ) Happy Days, Happy Days 😃😃😃
Happy Days mate 👍
You're due for another visit then 😉 not many can go 20yrs between visits 😅
I was walking on sukumvit one time and was coming up to a tailors shop. As I got near the Indian guy outside said to me alright mate people from London always welcome. I never had a football shirt on or anything to do with London on a shirt. I just said no thanks mate another time. Always makes me smile that.. also there was a bar off soi nana called the bangcockney bar. As you walked by the girls used to say in a Cockley accent where you going me old son. Love Bangkok its a good laugh .
Haha classic! That has got to be the best bar name ever! "Bangcockney" haha cheers mate.
Bangkok was freaking awesome back in the early 2000's. Probably still is today 😕
It's a great city!
Great place 👍😎
Nice one Box 👍
Nice one Wayne. The market you were in was soi 3 and is also known as soi Arab. You walked straight past nana plaza but turned the wrong way! Filming around the nana plaza area is very difficult. Most vloggers of that area use secret cameras to film. Save travels Wayne 😃👍🏼
Yes mate, I knew I was in Nana. I'll be doing a day walk down Nana Plaza. Cheers mate .
@@WalkAboutWayne day walk is good. You should be OK with the camera. Safe travels 👍🏼
By the way, the BTS is only one of several train lines. The MRT, for instance, has a station right under Terminal 21. They keep adding and extending train lines. Also check out the Water Bus that runs parallel to Sukhumvit along one of the big canals. In Chiang Mai the songthaews are a great way to get around, in Bangkok it's the trains.
Yes, I took the MRT also. Cheers 👍👍
I live thonburi and like it I couldn't live near sukumhvit
I liked the Thon Buri area, it looked good 👍
REAL BOBBY DAZZLER MATE !
Bobby Dazzler mate 👌👌✨
My favourite city I love it there
I must admit, I like Bangkok.
you picked a good time to get out of Chiang Mai. I watch TNT (Tim Newton's Channel) and he provided the air quality report and this year smokey season in the north is really bad. This is the best time to leave CM and get down to Phuket or Hua Hin etc. Anyplace south even though it will be hot. I've walked that street you are on many many times. Making me jealous I am not somewhere nearby to you right now Wayne. Especially that it is snowing right as I type this here in Massachusetts!.
It should start getting better now in Chiang Mai. It's been some bad days yes. The last few days were bad again when I looked . It was getting bad when I left. It will be getting better soon though. Cheers
I planned a week in bkk last yr, before going to Pattaya. I left after 3 days, too busy n really underwhelmed by Soi Cowboy. Expensive girls in Cowboy, 5000 St. Soi 11 was alright tho. But skipping to Pattaya felt like a relief😁
I think a week would be enough for me 👍
15:53 - Sour diesel. 😂😂😂 The pot shops are very new. The last time I was in Bangkok, about a year ago, they had just passed the laws. Suddenly there was one every 50 yards. Cloud 9 was quite the sight. Even more shocking were the people selling pot from the little tables on the sidewalk. Funniest were the signs in the bars prohibiting smoking pot in the bars.. apparently some customers didn't like having to smell it while having a drink. 😂
So many weed shops in Thailand now. They had one near the kiddy play zone in Chiang Mai. It got kake away after a few months.
Bangkok is ok for a short visit like any big city but Koh samui is where it’s at👍
I've never been to Koh Samui, maybe one day 👍
Good on ya mate.
Cheers John 😀
Fun to see you walking around, dont know where the hell your going😂. Ending up in soi Arab thinking its a market and skipping nana plaza😂😂. Anyways, take it easy, keep up the good work.
That's life right , great getting lost sometimes. I won't lose sleep over Nana buddy, that will be on another vlog Cheers man 👌👌
Where you can see some real stunners is at the Starbucks in Terminal 21, saw a few farangs in there with younger girlfeiends but mainly just Thai's, and some really beautiful girls, it's a nice place to hang out there if you can find a spot to sit down. You went down the Cowboy at the perfect time, you could walk down it.
You'll never catch me in a Starbucks mate. Nice evening stroll about Dan. Nice one buddy.
@@WalkAboutWayne Well I'm sure you walked past it, as it is right inside the BTS drop off point, it is wide open with lots of tables and chairs, while sipping actual BREWED coffee (not espresso or Americano, as most places only sell) ) it is both a place to get real coffee and relax and people watch, check it out next time.
You should head over to the new park next to Benjakitti park, it's lovely there.
Nice one, Joe 👍
Great vlog Wayne memories come flooding back , ill be back out there later in the year enjoy Wayne.
Cheers Brian 👍
You can go down to the Metro level and cross the street underneath. Some shops and ac also.
Nice one 👍
A bit of Pink Floyd and a walk around Bangers always go well together. 😂 The place is always hectic and using the BTS so cheap you'd be mad not to especially in lieu of risking getting around on a motorcycle in that natural traffic flow of theirs. Food cost surprisingly cheap considering you are in the capital. Liked the looks of Terminal 21. Nice video Wayne. Cheers! 🤩
Bit of the Floyd walking around mate 👌. Cheers buddy .
Wayne, Ive been to Thailand the last two years and I avoid Bangkok. But after watching this vid, I might have to do it!!
I was always the same, I always avoided Bangkok. I really enjoyed it and it surprised me.
I stayed right in Silom couple weeks ago at Red Planet, was only 650 bath I think it was high standard compared to your place Wayne, and was right near the action at Patpong Night market, but it's great seeing you in BKK, stay safe 👍
Nice one 👍. Sounds like you had a blast 👌
My first impressions of Bangkok was too many cars & too much concrete.
Every time I've been back since though it's surprised me with the gems it has to offer.
You should try the water taxis on the klong 🙂
Yes! I have seen a different side of BKK this time. It's not as bad as I thought, but I won't be sticking around for long 🤣
Hi, Next station I suggest you go for a walk in Nakhon Phanom, Isan region. 😊
Maybe, one day 👍
Wayne!!! Loving the series!! I'm so glad you tried going the hostel route. I always do private rooms in hostels when I travel, especially in Asia and I have found them to be as good, if not better then your mid range hotels. I've already booked my two favorite places for my upcoming October trip. Keep these awesome videos coming!
Cheers Shain. I was surprised with the Hostel, I liked it. Had some people around to chat with also. I'll defo do the private hostel rooms again. Thanks mate.
Good time for you to be south. Just read on TNT that highest level of pollution was measured in Chiang Mai yesterday. How long to you plan to be traveling and will all of it be in Thailand? As always really enjoy following you and your adventures, stay safe man.
Yes, I've seen the last couple days was bad in CM. It should be getting better soon though. Not sure how long mate 👍. Thanks for watching buddy.
Love it!!!
Cheers 👌👌
Forgot... Besides the river, many Thais use the canal boats ro get around.
👍👍
i suggest you get a Rabbit metro card and put baht on it for your BTS/MRT trips - youll need your passport to get it, but it speeds up the whole process and you can use it at all the food courts instead of having to get a food card. you can top it up at the machines before going through the turnstyles in bangkok. The card also works ifor food courts n pattaya and probably chiang mai now. although you cannot top it up besides at the machines in bangkok (unless someone else knkows??)
I'm only here for a couple days buddy. 👍
Rather than wait at that Junction for ages, next time use the underpass as if using the metro system. Saves a lot of hanging about in the heat & having to dodge traffic.
All good buddy. Better for the vlog like this 👍
in Bangkok aswell at last escape from scottish weather
Nice one Matt, have a good one buddy!
If you’re only staying a few nights in BKK, it’s better to stay closer to the action. Even Soi 4 (Nana) offers pretty cheap hotels. I usually stay on Soi 10, which is between Asoke and Nana stations. Take Paradiso Boutique Suites, for example, it’s guest-friendly and everything within walking distance.
I'm really happy down my end, so easy to get too also. Thanks
My first trip there was not so good, kind of too much for me, but next one i stayed for a week and i loved it, kind of grow on you ,. Nothing wrong to be urban some time. Good one again 👏👏
Yes mate, I think Bangkok would grow on me, the longer I stayed.
I was there a few years ago on a veteran tour for 3 days . I figured out the bts quickly. ( Shows how easy it is).I really want to get back. Anyway,, there are good vloggers there. One rides a bike around. Another has a scooter."Thailand Bound" walks and uses the taxi. "Bangkok Pat" has good historical vds. The heat can be a problem. But many cool places to rest Also, Chang Mai was rated as the worst city with air pollution in the world
Just another day in paradise 👌. They always label Chiang Mai as the most polluted 🤣🤣
I never really had a problem there.
The university market in bang kapi is the place to go bro...😉
Can’t beat a good Uni market 👍
Traffic is nothing if you use all the transport that is available. The blue bus is great and usually freezing
Yes, easy if you are not stuck in it. 👍
I love BKK, really need to go back this year, I haven't been in Thailand since March 2020. I escaped just before the first lockdown and arrived back in the UK to a lockdown lol.
Hope you can get back soon. I'm glad I stayed in Thailand during Covid, this was the best place to be.
Try the alleyway restaurant on the corner of Soi 11 - amazing food!
Cheers Paul 👍
Sounds like Liam Gallagher from Bristol….
Nice one R Kid
Wow. First commenter again.. 😂. Yeah, trains in Bangkok are definitely the way to go. By the way, you should check out Soi Cowboy in the daytime, say, mid-morning.. you won't believe it is the same place. The only notable thing going on is University students queuing up for motorbike taxis. Watch how the women ride (in their uniforms). - sidesaddle. 😁 23:40 - that's called Soi Arab, I think. Those kebabs are good!
Nice one mate 👍
A very popular little restaurant amongst both locals & tourists is Suda Restaurant in Soi 14. Soi 14 is tiny (not really a soi at all, more a cul de sac) right opposite Terminal 21 👍
Nice one 👍
To early bud, do it when it's late 😂😂
Nah 👍
ill be there in september only for 4 nights
Happy Days Michael 👍
I was right there just 3 weeks ago
Nice one Colin 👍
Oh man the axse at 25:05 ......she's tall and perfect figure but big guy with her might not want to share..
I can't remember, but I'll take your word for it.
Easier to get around than sunny Bristol Wayne.
For sure 🤣
the chinese out numbering the thais on train 😊
🤣🤣
So near to NaNa Wayne soi 4 if you haven't been it's worth a look mate, spent a few days in BKK beginning of March stated in the NaNa Hotel opposite NaNa plaza used to be worth it but not now I'd rather stay where you stayed
Right next to it mate . Cheers
Its better riding there than in Chiang Mai, people are more switched on In Bangkok on the roads and more likely to give you a toot if your driving like a div.. Go to central Siam and Paragon thats a better mall. Toilets in Central Siam and nice too lol.
It does look better riding in BKK, the roads are alot wider too. Cheers
I understand that the street food near where all the city workers are, is inexpensive and tasty.
Bottom floor, same in most Thai cities.
Another 50 meters and you would have been in Soi Nana but you turned back 😅
Yeah I know 👍
Haha....so close you could almost smell it.
They seem a bit stricter these days....security at the entrance and stuff - I was in the area just a few weeks ago....seems like they might get stroppy about filming.
1:44
Hope it was good 👍
@@WalkAboutWayne it is Baki, great martial arts anime, and your video also great!
Wayne soi 77 or 71 onnut they have got really cheap food you can still live in Bangkok cheaper for £1000 per month but sukhumvit 51 71 wow Wayne 3000 per month man you could live there for £600 per month mate
Bobby Dazzler 😎
Bangkok was just to busy for me Wayne like you said rat race
Yes mate, I'm not a big city person, too much going on
Try riding a scooter around...bonkers lol
I would like to try riding in Bangkok. It does look crazy though
@@WalkAboutWayne done it for years lol
I love terminal 21 Wayne the food is so cheap and you have a good veiw I have only been there once when I got a seat near the window some people have there dinner there every day yes you could eat off the toilet Wayne I sent you a gift last night it can help you towards you travel mate onnut is nice you can get condos for 7000 in bearing on a year contract it’s quiet there Wayne I like it but there are many lines now you can go far Wayne
Cheers for the Green Teas Robert, much appreciated 👍
I had been watching vloggers in Bangkok as they looked around the fake markets there. I believe that a "genuine fake" Rolex costs around £400. Similar price for fake Gucci, Louis Vuitton bags. It's interesting. Have you seen those markets yet?
Nice I thought they would be cheaper than that . I e not seen any Rolex.
Isn’t it as easy as the Tube???
Dunno, I haven't used the tube much either .
I was waiting to see Nana Plaza then you got within 100m and turned away..
It's on the next vlog buddy. In the daytime
👍
Honestly, Bangkok is a piece of piss to navigate with the MRT and BTS. I'll be back in a week, can't wait.
Yes, it's a pretty simple city to get around. Have a good one 👍👍
I walk around and see westerners and wonder, how can a woman be with that
The power of money 💰💰
