The Margaret episode was probably the best of the season. So emotional! Lesley Manville was amazing! And of course Imelda Staunton and Elizabeth Debicki were perfect! :D
All the actresses who played Princess Margaret were excellent. Helena Bonham Carter is my favorite. She really captured the fragility and loneliness that encapsulated Princess Margaret’s life. Bravo, ladies!
I loved Vanessa Kirby, especially when she raged at the Queen for ruining her life. The tension of these scenes were wonderful, but then we all knew they loved each other very much. Lesley Manville's finale in Season 6 was very very moving, quite heartbreaking in fact, which means she did herself proud.
Debicki is 4 inches/10 cm taller than Lady Diana. The press team ensured that she never looked as tall as her hubby, and that's the only big difference in the show. Working around it would have been nightmarish. The facial resemblance is quite shocking, though.
Leslie Manville is the best British actress working today hands down. Her roles prior to playing HRH Margaret are calculating and sinister but sly as a fox. Her version of Margaret made me cry. Vanessa Kirby was also an excellent Margaret and so now I’m one of her newest fans. I was struck dumb upon seeing Debicki as Princess Diana! I hope this final season wins some awards!
I disagree with the rating in this video. Elizabeth Debicki should have been on the number one spot, her resemblance and entire persona was uncannily similar to Diana! Imelda Staunton and Claire Foy, both should’ve been on number two. Vanessa Kirby and Lesley Manville were fantastic as Princess Margaret so they should’ve been on numbers three and four. I quite liked Helena Carter as well. Josh O’Connor as Prince Charles was brilliant and should’ve been on number three or four. All said, the show is very well made and everyone has done fantastic work, and by that I mean each and everyone involved from the lowest to the highest level. Brilliant!
Neither of the Harry actors look like Harry at any point in life. Disappointed. William actor looks a little more similar, but the shy smile doesn't really look the same. The voice of the William actor though was strikingly similar.
I was upset every time Luther Ford popped up on the screen. His portrayal of Harry didn't feel remotely accurate. He really didn't look anything like Harry. Disappointed casting couldn't find a better fit.
Agreed. There were times when he sounded a bit like him but that’s it. Good actor, just bad fit. In other news, it seemed like a lot of that stuff came from Harry’s book.
@@micheleedmonds2074 yes, his book, therefore from the horse’s mouth. I thought the actor portrayed Harry with a kind of dark energy, which is apt given what the real Harry has revealed himself to be
@Tanganae - I agree. I also found it very off putting that his face was bigger than William’s, and that he was almost the same height! The proportions between the two of them were way off! - I didn’t even know that was ‘a thing’ til now! But apparently for me, it is. Especially that Harry’s face was bigger than William’s face…. It was just weird.
All of the cast were excellent, their attention to detail is commendable. Even though I had little memory of Dodi Fayed, when I saw Khalid Abdalla’s performance I remembered that he did seem to hold his body like that. Probably the best was Elizabeth Debicki though
Meg Bellamy looks more like Katie Holmes than Catherine Middleton. Camilla Luddington makes a more convincing Catherine but she's 40 now. A bit of a stretch for a university Catherine.
The actor chosen to play Prince Harry as a teenager was definitely the worst cast by farl! Absolutely nothing to do with the real Harry, except for the red hair...
The acting was uniformly excellent, although I sometimes wondered "Were they really like that?" What I don't understand is: When you've gone to great lengths to get a performer who looked like the character, or could be made to look like the character in many cases, why would you ignore that requirement in others? Does anybody think that Josh O'Connor and Dominic West are playing the same person? And why was Churchill played by an actor twice his size?
Charles and Diana, after the divorce, became friends after it. Being in a relationship that was toxic wasn't good for either of them. With that pressure off, they could appreciate one another as they co parented their children.
What proof they were friends? Truly that is absurd when he probably in cahoots with the queen to just get rid of her. Don’t have any proof of that Guilt is powerful thing. He is a vile person n I am not a conspiracy person @ all, just empathic/psychic n that added info point is what I base the opinion on vs rose-colored glasses.
@@TerriStefani You throw out allegation, accuse people of the worst crime without a shred of evidence and ask for proof that they were friends at the end of Diana's life? And accusing people of wearing rose-colored glasses just because they don't fall for the crazy conspiracy theories, but judge according to clear facts? Don't you realize how silly that is?
I did not like the casting of Helena Bonham-Carter and Jonathan Pryce - they are great actors but due to the total lack of physical resemblance I just did not buy it, they are too recognizable as their own person. First I also did not like to the casting of Olivia and Imelda, but pretty soon they grew on me and made it believable. Like every TV shows The Crown has some weak points but overall I think it is is a brilliant piece of art and everyone did a great job, I really hope Imelda will also get a significant award (Emmy or Golden Globe) for her portrayal like her predecessors.
@@DianeCooperTW I thought exactly the same. Though Charles is also a very recognizable actor he has much more resemblance to the real Philip and a brilliant actor so he would have done a brilliant job.
I liked Jonathan Pryce in many things but here I was quite disappointed, I think his casting was a misstep. Prince Philip was tough as nails and the portrayal didn't capture that. Nor his bitting sense of humor and the pleasure with which he created "scandals" (i.e. triggered snowflakes).
They wasted Charles Dance on Lord,Mountbatten. How could they sit there, look at him, and not think, older Prince Phillip? Perfect casting! Tywin Lannister would have made a great older Prince Phillip.
As an older gay man, I had quite the crush on Wills and Harry back in the day, as both of them were serious heart-throbs in their teens and the pics of Harry in Vegas were quite yummy, a bit like Diana’s affair with that ginger hottie captain (he was a real hunk back in the day) - and as for the hotties that were playing Wills and Harry, Yum Yum ❤
…also, Debicki’s the best Diana character ever in every actress who’s tried, and I’m being kind..bt she’s my fav. of all.🔮🪬🪞She could have even played Lady Diana’s double in real life..that’s how gd she was.😍🫶🏽🔥..the rest , ws ight.
The tone and voice of Elizabeth Debicki were perfect. Portraying perhaps the most photographed and followed personality of the 20th. Century was a challenge in itself. Elizabeth did it flawlessly!!!. A very close runner-up performance and characterization was given by Leslie Manville. Third runner-up Josh O^Connor in his portrayal of a vane and disturbed Prince of Wales.
The crown did not do Harry justice. Where 👀is Prince Harry? Because the character..as a young adult was ❌wrongly portrayed and the wrong actor. And..not only that, but they did not give a shit about showing Harry’s own part of how he dealt with the loss of his mother and the press. They left out the segregation made on the daily, than reminding Harry about how less he was. Even with the cookies story. Than..today the press have made Kate and her family into this dove of a “family” when she and her mother lobbed her way to William. The same strategy Camilla used, if I recall. William and his dad was stalked. O”well..that’s how it seems from this angle.👁️🔍

Princess Di
The Margaret episode was probably the best of the season. So emotional! Lesley Manville was amazing! And of course Imelda Staunton and Elizabeth Debicki were perfect! :D
I cried like a baby. I did not want the episode to end.
Yes! So hard to watch at times and so very well acted.
It broke me 😞😞😞

Elizabeth Debicki was so like Diana, it was SCARY!

The best episode in season 6 is called 'The Ritz'. It is about the Queen and Margaret. Excellent performances, endearing, tragic and loving. ,
That was a sad and heartwarming episode for me especially the ending
so true
Elizabeth as Diana. It was just uncanny
The Crown's cast is really gold! In season 6, Leslie Manville as Margaret and Elizabeth Debicki as Diana were my favorites.
Elizabeth Debicki as Diana is the best.
The older William and Harry. Both convinced me. Excellent for such young actors.
Elizabeth Debicki as Diana was so good and the resemblance was uncanny.
I loved all three actresses who played the Queen however, Claire Foy was my favorite by far!
She is always great
It was a small part, but I thought Jonny Lee Miller was brilliant as John Major.
Totally agree !
I kept thinking each season's Queen Elizabeth was great, until I saw the next season. These actresses were amazing in that role.
Elizabeth Debicki at No 6 on this list? Ridiculous, she easily should have been #2 or higher!
I disagree with the rating in this video. Elizabeth Debicki should have been on the number one spot, her resemblance and entire persona was uncannily similar to Diana! Let's not forget that this is a season 6 rating. Not the show overall

The crown will be missed
Dominic West "is easier on the eyes"? He looks like King Charles' top choice to play him!
fr, I thought he was a miscast at first but then he killed it!
I bet it haunted Charles I can see Dians in the real William’s face

Actually, the way they betrayed the Queen Mother is probably the most accurate. Supposedly she was a terrible snob.
You surely mean portrayed, not betrayed ?
The series is the best I have ever seen. I’m sad that it’s over. The acting was brilliant.

Charles dance for me was the choice for Philip at this age too bad they uses him for Mountbatten

I think Carter is an excellent actress and can play any role.
Dominic West is all wrong for Charles…part of what makes Charles so unlikable is his attractiveness.
Or lack thereof.
8th Comment, what a great top, Emely! Thanks and a happy thursday afternoon to you as well. God bless you and greetings from Colombia.
I want more THE CROWN!...They should continue up until Charles become King
Olivia Williams is way cuter than Camilla
I wish they showed more of princess Margaret passing maybe glimpses of the previous actress and shown the Queen dealing with her death
Elizabeth as Diana. All the Margarets. All the Prince Philips. Middle Prince Charles.
Season 6 is better than s5😊
The actress playing Diana is a dead ringer!!
Okay here me out… Vera Farmiga in a role of The Princess Anne 🤷♂️ it’s kind of uncanny really
Dominic West, as great as he is, is too handsome imo. But I did like that they made Charles less of an A** in season 6.
Disagree about Filip and Anne's portrayals. There was so much lack of resemblance that it was distracting.
1:05 then why did they hired a welsh actor and did not hired natural ginger British actor?
Lady diana
I didn't like the last season from episode 5. It feels like Peter Morgan got tired of writing and the way the serie ends is boring.

The choreography was average, the lighting and set didn't help much and Deepika's costume was rather simple/boring too.
😊

Princess Anne is AWESOME!
I have an aunt Anne, on my dad's side of the family!
It was amazing well done 100% great matches ever for the cast so beautiful just finishing it up and I am so pleased a lot
💜♎️😇🌎
Claudia Harris looks more like princess Anne
Guys I’m a ginger! Neither of those dudes looked like Harry…it’s fine…but like it’s distracting at times.
It’s so annoying that they casted such a funny looking kid for the older Harry. He lacks Harry’s good looks and charm.
He lacked everything about Harry. The lack of development and depth was is a hatchet job.
Disagree and thought he had the charm but distractingly different looks.

The two Dianas are number 1 and 2.
Dominic West is looking for a knighthood with that portrayal! #toohotforcharles
